Can you please elaborate more the issue you are facing with the File rename eg where and when do you want to rename the file.

At the VERY least, ability to rename while on the HOME page with the file closed if it's too stoopid to do it on its own. Having to go to Explorer, navigate to that folder, hopefully choose the right one, and rename is ridiculous.

Under the home view where you can access your recent downloaded files. You should be able to click on the 3 dots and change the file name or access the file from the list of recent documents and change the name

As a long-time PaperPort user I was able to manage documents with the file naming being a major organization tool. I do this today but it's frustrating that I can rename a document while it's open in Acrobat. The scanner named the file CCF11132019 but once I open it and see what it is I want to rename it 20191113-Company. Very simple and very easy to support.
Note that Microsoft now offers this capability in Word both on the desktop and with OneDrive. It has become the norm.
