HEIC Support
Provide support for HEIC files. This is apple's new standard and lots of clients send over these image files like jpegs that need to be inserted into my pdfs. PDF is intended to be the "universal" format so this seems like an obvious addition. Thanks!
Thanks for your feature request. We have added it in our backlog which will be prioritized based on other items. We will keep you posted with the progress.
Thanks

Hello,
We take massive amounts of photographs as part of our university research using our iPhones (which produces HEIC format photos), and rely on Adobe PDF to combine documents.
Currently, we have to manually convert HEIC individually to PDF or leave them as individual HEIC files in folders since there are so many HEIC photographs, which is very inconvenient.
Also the Adobe Scan app does not capture the nuances that we need to preserve from photographs (grey or colored shading) that Adobe Professional preserves.
Please provide HEIC format support for combining PDF documents - it would be great if this could be made a priority since it has been in the request queue now since 2020.
Thank you.

We use the PDF Services API and need to convert HEIC files, along with several other formats, to PDF.
As HEIC is a required format we cannot use the Adobe API to create the PDFs and must look for another solution if PDFs cannot be created from HEIC files. -

I put a massive amount of photos on Acrobat.
But for years now I have to convert my HEIC files to JPEG before I can combine the photos into Acrobat.
For such a large well known company I would have expected Adobe to have supported HEIC files a long time before now.
PLEASE DO IT SOON... -

Apple phone are now creating images with this format. When trying to combine jpgs, pdfs and heic images into one pdf document, obviously there is an error because acrobat cannot open and convert the file to pdf as it can a jpg file. This format will soon be commonplace for millions of phones and devices and acrobat should add it to the types of files it supports

It's been over a year and this is still an issue. Is it that difficult to add support for what is now a widely used type of image file?
