Windows 11 taskbar uncombined
Strange behavior on Windows 11 taskbar when uncombined. As you can see in the attached video, the Adobe Acrobat icon is duplicated when shifting the windows to another monitor and stays like that until I close the app and open it again.
It becomes very annoying when opening many files such as 5 or more. The taskbar will be full of Acrobat.

It's November and it is still under review?
How can this take so long to solve? -

Hi all, We will investigate it more deeply at our end, and will get it prioritised. Thanks for reporting it and providing feedback on the same.

Same thing for me and this is the only app that behaves this way. I tried updating my software but even the install doesn't work because it keeps loading and circling back to the same install window. Currently trying to 'repair' my install but doubt this will fix anything with the taskbar issue as I've tried in the past... Adobe can you please prioritize this annoying bug?

Well, it's super annoying that after setting up my new setup, I only just found out this problem has existed since February. There's still no fix. I guess it's time to hunt for a new and favorite reader.

I have the exact same problem on a Windows 11 machine of one of my customers. There is literally no fix or workaround for this. Please fix this asap!

So just to add my .02 cents, Adobe Reader displaying multiple instances of the open file in the taskbar happens on my Windows 11 machine (an Intel NUC 13) as well as my work PC (a Dell Latitude 5540, Win 11 as well). My work PC is pretty much locked down and I'm limited to making any changes to it.
Also, the scenario is more complex than just showing more than one instance of an open file... There's times when if a group of files are opened in separate tabs at the same time. and one of the files is closed, a remaining open file takes on the name of a file that was previously closed. I've double checked, and yes this does happen.
Attached is a file showing 2 pdf files open, with 2 references to one of the files in the task bar.

This is super annoying. It's like Adobe doesn't use their own products, because I discovered this bug immediately. It's been happening since Windows 11 brought back "Never combine taskbar icons". Adobe should have caught this during the beta releases of Windows 11 updates.
