  1. Bug report: "Find" function fails intermittently on large documents

The "Find" text function in the current version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC fails intermittently when searching for text strings in larger PDF documents. This issue occurs across multiple users on multiple devices, so is not isolated to any individual installation of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Illustration attached.

  3. Global replace of text in data fields of a form.

I simply want the global find-and-replace functionality found in most word processors to work on a PDF form. I have a 129-page application form in pdf format. It asks questions in form fields to which I respond in data fields. I wish to do a global replace of text in the data fields (say to change a name of a person/organisation). To do so, I have to take several steps which have very undesirable side-effects. I have to flatten the file. I can now use replace, but... the look-and-feel of the original document is significantly altered, the auto-orientate feature of…

  4. Viewing Bates numbering

I have used your products for years and rely on Bates numbering often. I can not understand the way you designed the viewing in Bates before hitting ok. I can only see the top of my form or the bottom. Why on earth can't we see the complete sheet?

  6. Stop annoying Quick Actions popup editor in Adobe Acrobat

Please please please allow turning OFF that annoying editing popup that appears constantly in the way of my editing. It is unnecessary and time consuming to deal with. A BAD idea—get rid of it.

  7. Completely Useless Software for Editing

This software is completely useless for editing pdfs. It glitches on all my computers and makes the worker frustrated and rightfully think that Adobe should do a much better job than they have in this context. You claim to be amongst the best software companies, so let your products demonstrate your claim!

  10. No way to password protect a PDF from editing BUT allow annotations on mobile devices (Samsung tablet, Ipad etc.)

I need to be able to protect PDFs on my Mac from editing BUT allow annotations. We have tried taking the following steps...

We saved a Word doc as pdf on Mac, uploaded it to Adobe Pro, in 'allow changes' chose commenting, filling in form fields, and signing existing signature fields.

We then sent the protected pdf to various devices.

Recipients were prompted to enter a password in order to annotate on Samsung Tablet and Ipad.

Surely, allowing annotation while protecting the pdf from editing is much in demand these days, in particular in the education field where students are…

  12. Print-Append

Its understood that a Print-Append feature would allow printing directly to a file without saving having to save the file first (as a separate file). The Print-Append feature would be a great advantage and essential to our company, and we are requesting that this be seriously considered:

    1. We are wishing for the soon plans for this feature to be implemented?
    2. Alternately could there be an add-in option of sorts created for this feature?

  13. Adding/Headers and Footers

Please consider combining the Page Number and date format and Page Range Options into the existing Add Header Footer Window or at least a single pop-up, rather than two separate ones. They reduce the efficiency and accuracy with which the tack can be performed. Do you intend to make your software less efficient and error prone?? Because if so you have succeeded!! CONGRATULATIONS!

For example, when I need to add page numbers to 61 sets of numerous pages on the footer, that means according to your current set-up with the pop-up for page number and date format, and the second…

  14. Crop Pages preference Even, Odd, All shouldn't be sticky between unrelated documents

When one crops a document, the "Apply to:" dialog preference selects between "Even and Odd Pages", "Odd Pages Only", and "Even Pages Only". This preference is sticky, based on the last document that was cropped. In practice, documents are uncorrelated.

To minimize user errors, Acrobat should default to a single choice users expect, "Even and Odd Pages". Or inspect the document, or at least notice whether one is on an even or odd page.

When one crops a document, the "Apply to:" dialog preference selects between "Even and Odd Pages", "Odd Pages Only", and "Even Pages Only". This preference is sticky, based on the last document that was cropped. In practice, documents are uncorrelated.

These probabilites aren't flat. To reduce user errors, it would be simplest to default to the setting users expect by default: "Even and Odd Pages".

If one expects the user to check this setting every time, then it would make sense to play the probabilities, and default to the most likely setting based on recent history. For example, phone GPS…

  16. Textbox Paste Issue between Pages

When copying and pasting a textbox from one page to another, the textbox is pasted in the copied location instead of center screen. Pasted objects should always land in middle of screen no matter zoom level or current view location.

  17. It would be great if there were a keyboard shortcut to mark a comment on Acrobat Pro as complete.

Reviewing comments on a pdf document one by one is a key part of my work as an editor, and it would speed up my work immensely if there were a keyboard shortcut to mark comments as completed/rejected/&c. At the moment this action requires mouse-selection of options within a menue and then a drop-down within this menu, which slows the process down a lot. Thanks for your consideration.

  18. Arabic RTL support for MacOS

Arabic right-to-left is currently supported on Windows, but not on Mac, and I have forms that Mac users currently cannot use because of this. Please consider working on Mac compatibility for Arabic and other right-to-left languages. Thank you!

  19. Prevent Comment Pane from Opening when selecting the Comment Tool

Please provide an option to prevent the Comment Pane from opening whenever you select the Comment Tool. I make comments all the time on PDF's and never required the pane to be open.

  20. Tool to split long webpage PDF into letter-sized pages for printing

Please create a tool that lets users automatically split a very long 1-page PDF of a webpage into smaller, letter-sized pages for printing. I have a long 1-page PDF that would come out to about 25 pages printed, but when I try to print it, it shrinks down to fit on one page and is totally unreadable. Please give us a way to split long webpages that we have screenshotted into one long PDF into smaller, letter-sized pages. Thanks.
