  2. this.getField("FormField").setFocus();
This JavaScript is now broken as there is some api that loads in the background that steals the form focus one or two seconds after the form loads.
It could be the uservoice feedback button as this loads at the same time that the form focus is stolen from the form.

  4. Current version of Acrobat Reader is trash. It freezes for several seconds EVERY time I open it. It's to the point where I'm now making the effort to only close individual PDFs, rather than closing Acrobat altogether, so I don't have to wait through the "start-up freeze" several times a day.

Additionally, forms have been acting strange in some cases. We have some forms where you can type stuff into a field, and as soon as you click out, the field goes blank. Then if you click in, the text is back. But that's pretty stupid, you should be able…

  5. During a support call this evening with one of your Senior Technical Representatives, I asked if a Fillable Form could be printed without the Fill Color appearing when users print their completed text-entry forms. She indicated that this option does not currently exist, but she thought it could be a great feature request to inquire about. She strongly suggested that I send this request along for consideration. I've attached a few screenshots of a Fillable Form that I've created to help you visually see what I'm referring to. Thank you so much for taking the time to review this and…

  6. Have been creating a fillable PDF. Go to test the flow and fill in the fields. Instead of being able to tab to the next field, when tabbing it brings up a comment and inserting into the base artwork for comment! How do I stop this from happening?

  8. I'm unable to type in any text box because all fields are being recognized as signature fields. Sometimes the program will briefly recognize it as a text field right at startup for a second, the then program flickers as if it's finished loading and all fields are recognized as form fields. The fields are titled appropriately (highlighted text in screenshot), none of the fields are titled 'signature'. This started mid-morning after using the forms correctly a few times. I since restarted the app and my computer, and checked for updates, with no help.

  9. Since the 2023 update, users have reported that handling large PDFs (over 100MB) has become increasingly unresponsive. The software experiences severe lags, especially when performing actions like page navigation, text extraction, or annotations. This performance degradation is linked to memory management inefficiencies within the new UI framework, specifically affecting systems with limited RAM (under 8GB).

Impact: This lag not only hampers productivity but also creates bottlenecks in workflows, especially for users in legal and research fields where large documents are common.

Suggestion: Optimize the resource allocation for large file handling, reduce memory spikes, and improve cache management to provide smoother…

  10. Allow the toolbar to expand and minimize (hide the toolbar) to maximize the working area. As of right now there is no way to make the toolbar section smaller or to hide it. When trying to make the toolbar smaller it exits out of the tool being used for the PDF and it will only work if the toolbar stays open. It would be beneficial to have more workspace than to have 1/4 of the screen taken up by the tool bar.

  13. Simple PDFs opening in Microsoft Windows are extremely slow to react to anything (Slow to print, edit and everthing else.) This lagging is 30 seconds to a minute before anything can be done. This is noted by all computers in our office.
This has been going on for 2 days now. It is 12-19-2023. Adobe PDFs were very easy to work with prior to this week.

  14. Bug. "Preparing for reading ..." modal keeps popping up and it just hangs there. This happens when creating a PDF form. It's really annoying.

  15. When designing forms, the UI keeps shifting into other modes -- like edit pdf. It's really annoying and time consuming. It also crashes when moving fields around and I lose work. The new update made the tool really unstable and dysfunctional.

  17. Forms slow, freezing, and crashing
The forms I create are not elaborate and yet Adobe can't seem to handle the fields I've created. It loads incredibly slowly, one field at a time, and then freezes up so I can't use it. I can't even close it because it's totally locked up so I either have to wait several minutes or force close the application. I work in forms all day every day and this is hampering my ability to do my job.
Has Adobe always been this bad or is it going downhill. Our IT department recommended switching to Foxit…

  18. I've lost the ability lately to scroll the contents via the mouse scroll wheel of the Fields tab of the Prepare a form part of the program. Scrolling works properly in other tabs and dialog boxes though. I started experiencing it since the latest patch.

    1. Right click menu rework for tagging.
    2. I work primarily in tagging documents for accessibility, and I frequently use right click action menu to create a new tag. Sometimes over 100 individual uses on a document. There have been countless times where I accidentally click "auto-tag document" instead of "New Tag". I don't believe anyone auto tags a document from this right click menu and I believe it would be good to either remove it from the menu, or create some distance from regularly used features in that menu. This action cannot be undone with control + z and I always…

  19. In addition to being able to create multiple copies and groups of radio buttons, there should be a way to align them with each other. Even though it seems like I'm placing them appropriately in a table with multiple rows, it's clear they're not totally aligned. Why isn't there an easier way to 'grab' and align them, NOT to the page, but to each other, or within a table cell?
