PDF produced by Sibelius is displayed correctly, but prints badly, an unacceptable disparity
I am using MacOS Big Sur 11.6 and Acrobat Acrobat version 2021.007.20099.
The attached "Ful Score" PDF is displayed properly on the screen by Acrobat, but Acrobat prints it badly. I also included two screenshots, a *.png of Acrobat's display of the PDF (which looks OK) and a pdf produced by scanning a physical printout of that same PDF printed by Acrobat, which shows that Acrobat prints the file really badly.
The PDF was produced by Sibelius. I might say Sibelius was at fault for producing a bad PDF (probably with layers, but I'm not sure of the internals), except…

Adobe PDF T1 font printing bug
Adobe PDF T1 font printing bug
Print web pages from Chrome and Edge using the Adobe PDF printer (which does not appear to have been updated since the Obama administration - it still looks exactly as it has for the past ten years, and still only has 1b as a PDF/A option)
Windows 10
Should produce a clean, "normal" PDF made of text.
Produces PDFs containing only the T1 font, which are not searchable, and the text cannot be selected. (It selects in tall blue lines - see screenshot.) Copying and pasting the text yields only gibberish.
There is no…

What seems to be a printing bug in 21.007.20091 of Acrobat Reader DC
User has a Citrix virtual desktop with a USB HP printer connected to a Thin Client, and redirected into the Citrix desktop using the Citrix Universal Printer.
Prior to this version, opening a PDF and printing to that redirected printer presented no problem. On this most recent version it does with a quick "The document could not be printed" error and then it spits out a blank page.
Ideally I'd like to get my hands on 20.005.20058 to verify this, but I cannot find the full download now. I have however installed an older version 15.*** and this prints just…4 votes -
Bug report: Printing without rim is since the last update for Acrobat Reader DC from the 30.06.2022 not possible.
The update from 30.06.2022 for Acrobat Reader DC caused problems yet again. On Windwos 10, 64-bit.
I can't print with my printer PDFs without rim with Acrobat. And also i can't print A3 paper. Now i can only print A4, and with rim.
I had this problems also a few months ago. Also after a Acrobat update.
But at this time i didn't need my printer and sometime after the problem it resolved itself. Maybe with a another update. But now i need my printer and i have to print without rim on A3. But since this update i can't…

error message when creating pdf
Today when I try to create a PDF from a word doc, I receive an error message when the word file opens that "windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup."
I have not made any changes to my printer, printer drivers, word software or Adobe software.
I also get a similar error message when trying to create a PDF from a spreadsheet. Again, I haven't made any changes here.
What should I do? I am completely out of ideas.
Thank you,
Jim Ferrari

Acrobat doesn't recognize the MAC system default printer as its default
I have 2 network printers. Acrobat always defaults to the first printer in the system printer list, not the one that is the actual default printer. All other apps, including photoshop recognize the system default. This is a bug that should be fixed!

Parallel processing in Distiller
Unless I am missing something it appears that Acrobat Distiller is only able to process one file at a time. I feel like there is a missed opportunity here to take advantage of modern multi-core CPUs and allow Distiller to at least process as many files as there are logical cores on the CPU at the same time. For example I was recently tasked with converting a few hundred files to PDF and it took approximately an hour and a half but if it were able to process 16 files at a time (my CPU has 16 logical cores) I…

Missing characters when printed
We have found recently that some documents are missing a bunch of characters when printed, despite appearing fine on-screen. When I contacted support, I was advised that this is just something that happens when PDFs were not created by Adobe. To me, it sounds like handling PDFs created by other apps would be a basic function of a PDF application and should be fixed in Adobe.

Print dialog box request: Add checkbox to Center Image, more placement options
Currently in Acrobat Pro DC, the only the way to center the image on a selected page size is to also select Auto for the page Orientation; Landscape or Portrait orientations both place the image in the upper left corner and there doesn't seem to be any way around this.
There are times when it would be helpful to be able to simply click a check box that will center the image on a selected page orientation (or, ideally, other options as well center top, center left, etc). Printing a square image (which is regarded by Acrobat as portrait) on…

Print dialog box request: Add more Rendering Intents for applying Color Profiles
When selecting an output color profile in Acrobat Pro DC, the default and unchangeable rendering intent for Color Management seems to be Perceptual, but that can have severe consequences when working with multipage files that contain RGB elements. It would be excellent to be able to choose Relative Colormetric (at least) as an alternative so that out of gamut colors get clipped instead of skewing the colors of a document in a perceptual way.
A particularly troublesome example would be a multipage document which shares a matching background color, in which each page has different RGB elements and a different…

Automatically add a numeric suffix if the file name you are trying to print to pdf already exists
Adobe Print To PDF - Only provides to options when it goes to print a file name that already exists. Either "overwrite without prompting" OR "prompt" which requires the user to manually enter a new file name. It should have an option to Add a Numeric Suffix if the file name already exists.

Unique Sequential Number in each printed copy of a document
Documents such as petitions are often numbered. This is so a set of identical documents assigned to different people can be tracked, to ensure that all pages are accounted for. Being able to print a unique sequential number in the footer of each page would be a tremendous enhancement. For example, if I were printing 500 pages of a 2-page document in duplex mode, I would want a serial number to appear on the footer of the first page in this sequence: 1001, 1002, 1003.....1499, 1500.
