Delete the requirement to login to Acrobat
I was unable to view a document during a conference call because you required a login for the first time in over a year. Acrobat let me down when I needed it. How can I trust your software now? Please don't tell me it's for my security. It's just Big Brother wanting to maintain control. Please delete the login.

HIPAA-compliant signed BAA for Adobe Acrobat Pro!
Subscribers to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC program should be able to get a signed BAA for HIPAA compliance instead of being told to purchase a second copy of Adobe Sign for Small Businesses just for the BAA.

Password set via third party application through an XML file does not propagate throughout the document
We have a business need to completely secure our invoice PDFs when the file is created. We are able to set a password when generating the PDF through a third party application which prevents editing via the Tools, but it doesn't get applied to File > Properties > Security > Change Settings. It allows you to go into Change Settings without the password, cancel out, after which the PDF can be edited. Is there a way to apply security during document creation to prevent Change Settings access as well?

QR Code to Validate Digital Signatures for Printed Document
There is no way to validate a digital signature for a printed document. If a QR code was generated and included with the digital signature a person could then validate a digital signature for printed documents. Some business are reluctant to use digital signatures for printed documents because of this and continue to use wet signatures. QR code reader apps are widely available for smart phones.

Separate the Ability of Filling Fields and Signing Fields
Suggesting: Fill-able Fields and Signature Fields should have separate rights and properties that made them independently manageable such as:
Providing users the ability to lock out the ability to fill out a fields SEPARATELY from signing fields when using password protection
OR simply making these fill-able and singable fields distinctly separate to where when going through the process to send a document out for the signature of recipients, users are able to ensure that fill-able fields REMAIN READ ONLY.
Problem: We would like to fill out a form for a new employee including their pay rate for their offer letter.

forced identity authentication not possible
I purchased an acrobat pro for teams license to evaluate the forced identity authentication feature and demonstrate the expected benefits to my organization. Thus, I cannot activate the signature settings. Can you please help?
Thanks in advance!P.S.: on a side note, looking back at an incredibly difficult installation process I would appreciate if you could provide the DC installation package separate from the creative cloud desktop.

Bug in signature validation when annotations are used
Bugreport:
When adding an annotation (without appearance) and afterwards signing it, adobe reader/acrobat reports that the document has been changed afterwards when validating the signature. This is however not the case. The PDF Viewer basically thinks "ah there is an annotation missing thus i am adding one. Ah and surprise, surprise the document was changed now (by me and in memory) but still I report it..." However the actual state of the document is, that there was no change afterwards.
This bug has been described on several mailinglists (itext, stackoverflow etc) in the past, too.

confirm digital signature with enter button again
The new workflow for digital signing of documents looks quite pretty, but before the update i could draw the box, hit "enter" twice, press left arrow, hit enter again and Alt+F4 out, then the document has been signed. Now i could not confirm the certificate, I want to use for signing, with the "enter" key and I cant confirm the appearance of the signature with the "enter" key. So please make confirmation with "enter" possible again, this will hugely increase my workflow, since the whole process is already annoying enough if you have to sign a lot of documents

Password Requests
I very strongly dislike the fact that I have to enter my password just to view an Adobe document. It is highly annoying.

Adobe Protect Security Features are Disabled when opening with Chrome PDF Viewer
When implementing all Adobe/Protect security features to prevent printing, copying, or editing a secured pdf, the PDF can still be edited, copied or printed when opened by the Chrome Document Previewer. With the print option reenabled in the previewer, you can print the secured document as a PDF and save to a file directory and upon opening the saved copy, all security policies have been removed. After discovering this, I researched to see if there was an oversight on my part and stumbled across an article on WikiHow titled, "How to Unlock a Secure PDF File" which outlines a similar…

Extremely slow verification of digital signatures on MAC
When Acrobat tries to verify digital signatures, it checks validity of all certificates included in the signed .pdf document. During this operation, it consults well-known Root CA authorities, locally trusted certificates, but also fetches all certificates from PKCS#11 Digital-ID token (if attached).
Since PKCS#11 Digital-ID tokens might be very slow, fetching certificates from it multiple times during each signature verification takes excessive amounts of time. No caching seems to be used in Acrobat: if the .pdf document contains 6 certificates, all certificates from Digital-ID token are fetched 6 times and this process might take 2.5 minutes.
This is a bug…

Add Alt-Text to Digital Signatures (ADA / Web Accessibility Feature)
Accessibility checkers (such as CommonLook) reject PDFs with visible digital signatures, presumably because they lack an Alt-Text feature like standard images have.
We have new requirements to produce all documents for web postings as being accessible, which means we cannot use digital signatures until they become compliant with accessibility requirements.
Please add Alt-Text capabilities or another means of making digital signatures accessibility-compliant. It would be nice if default Alt-Text could be set as part of the digital signature configuration (e.g., "Signature of John Smith".

Protection from editing is overridden in other PDF editors
The protection for editing does not work at all under mac Os and the popular PDF editor "PDF Expert". With preview the PDF`s cannot be edited, but with PDF-Expert it is possible without any password. A joke! Such "security" is completely useless.

Does Adobe offer a reward or pay a fee if anyone finds a security fault that removes/bypasses Security Document Restrictions
Does Adobe offer a reward or pay a fee if anyone finds a security fault that allows almost anyone to bypass Security Document Restrictions?
If so, what would the reward/fee be?

[Bug] Adobe Acrobat/Reader changes font object when doing a signature which invalidates previous signature
We just notcied a strange behavior of Acrobat/Adobe Reader (DC 2019.021.20056) and found the root cause:
There's a generated PDF that uses standard fonts which are referenced through the AcroForm default resources entry, too. Strangely the font has a Name entry in its dictionary:
3 0 obj
<</Type/Font/Subtype/Type1/BaseFont/Helvetica/Name/F1/Encoding/WinAnsiEncoding>>
endobjWe add 2 signature fields with our own tool and certify/sign one field. This results in a valid document, which you can download here (https://customers.setasign.com/adobe/document-with-name-in-font.pdf). Do not wonder, there's really only a single line on the page.
When you open this document in Adobe Acrobat or Reader and sign…

Option to prevent a local copy being downloaded from the cloud when setting up secuity settings on PDFs
I need to share a PDF of some confidential documents of our business that are integral to finalising a deal with a new partner. They need to view these documents before they can sign an agreement
I can ensure that they cannot copy, edit or print the PDF, but I cannot stop them from downloading a copy and storing it locally. Even though this copy would also be uncopyable or unprintable they would be able to share their local copy with other people if they shared their password too.
It would be a good feature to stop a local copy…
