Can we please have the old Acrobat UI back? I hate, HATE this new interface! What was the reason to completely change the look of Acrobat? I'd much rather the effort go into making the program more stable than ruining the user interface. Adobe has been swinging and missing far too often lately.

Improved Script Execution for Better Automation
Many professionals use Adobe Acrobat to handle PDFs, but its automation and script execution capabilities are limited. Users often rely on external executors to run advanced scripts for document processing.
A built-in optimized script execution system within Acrobat could:
✔️ Improve workflow automation
✔️ Reduce manual repetitive tasks
✔️ Enhance compatibility with custom scriptsFor those interested in external solutions, you can check https://delta-executor.pro/, which offers an efficient approach to script execution.
Would love to hear thoughts from the community—how do you currently automate your Acrobat tasks?

BUG - Window sizing across multiple monitors is not remembered
Starting recently, Adobe Reader does not remember my preferred open size across multiple monitors. I open pdf's in that are 'normalized' (not maximized or minimized) across multiple monitors. In the past Adobe reader would remember my preferred window position across multiple monitors. It no longer does, but opens normalized filling one monitor. Adobe Acrobat Reader 2004.005.20320 64 bit on Windows 10 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5371) latest version.
Thanks,

Put the Tools back like they were or give an option to use old interface. This new layout is horrid!
Option to use old interface. New layout is not user friendly and is slowing my production down.

Tool Bar
Why on earth would I want a floating tool selector bar that blocks the view of the document I am trying to read? There isn't even an option to snap this back onto the top or bottom of the screen, or even in the new (unwanted) sidebar that contains loads of empty space?
I'm officially done with Adobe PDF reader.

Only show windows, not tabs in taskbar preview
Clicking on the Acrobat Reader icon in the Windows taskbar shows a thumbnail preview for each open tab. This is counter-intuitive because it is contrary to every other program i use and know that has tabs (e.g. Firefox, Chrome, File Explorer, Notepad etc.): they display a thumbnail preview for each open window, but not for every tab. Besides, Acrobat Reader’s behaviour is confusing if you have a lot of tabs open.
Therefore, please don’t show tabs, only windows in the taskbar preview (or at least offer a setting for this).

Suggestion: Customizable Bookmark Panel Width in Acrobat
Dear Adobe Team,
I would like to suggest an improvement for Adobe Acrobat regarding the Bookmarks panel width adjustment. Currently, every time a PDF is reopened, the Bookmarks panel resets to its default width, requiring manual resizing each time. This can be inconvenient, especially for users who frequently work with PDFs that contain extensive bookmarks.
I kindly request that Adobe Acrobat include:
A setting to customize the default width of the Bookmarks panel, allowing users to define a preferred size in the application preferences.
An option to remember the adjusted width after resizing, so that the panel remains at the…1 vote -

The "+ Create" button needs to be removed from the Tab bar and placed onto the All Tools bar. I routinely hit the Create button when intending to resize or move the Acrobat window, the button quite literally couldn't be in a worse place. (Even just moving it to the front of the tabs would alleviate the issue) The only option to hide the button is to disable the new Acrobat, which is ridiculous.

create option to prevent screen resize on file open
Create an option setting so my Adobe windows do NOT resize based on settings of new file being opened. In other words, control of window resizing should remain with ME, NOT the person sending me their PDF file.

Smaller& lighter Acrobat Reader
Get a smaller, lighter Acrobat Reader without artificial intelligence. The current one is too big and makes the computer very slow (including when starting up). I just need a PDF reader, with markup, commenting and quick search tools!

New interface is terrible.
Someone, if not many people should be fired. Everything I use in my PAID SUBSCRIPTION is now more difficult

User Setting - Checkbox to Opt Out of Pop Ups
Pontificating that there must be a "newbie user" segment who needs extra assistance in using Acrobat, I ask that you please remember you have a multitude of Perennial Power Users who don't need the constant hand holding, introductions, or reminders in pop ups. My efficiency is being damaged by the interruptions. While presenting in meetings, these pops ups are unprofessional and actually drove me to choose to default to opening PDFs in Microsoft Word. Yes. The unintended consequence of YOUR programming choice has driven me to use the big bad competitor's application. Please provide an option to opt out of…

This may not be new but I don't have time to read every other post on here.
When I open a PDF, 99.9999999% of the time my only purpose is to read that document. I am sick of having to minimize right and left menu windows taking up a huge amount of the screen, just so I can read the document. Death by a thousand clicks. Please create a setting to allow an Adobe window to open with these menus minimized.

Minimize Floating Toolbar
The floating toolbar seems purposed for newer users. It would be helpful if the following was done with the floating toolbar.
- Enable the toolbar to be transparent
- Allow the toolbar to be docked on the right panel
- Enable the toolbar to automatically minimize when not in use
- Allow users to remove the default toolsA few features that are quite nice about the toolbar:
- Contextual menus are immediately activated and brought into view once a tool is selected
- Various related tools can be pinned to the floating toolbar
- The toolbar can be moved…52 votes -
Horrible updates, makes users less efficient
This version is horrible! It's slow and quite "twitchy". It takes me twice as long to delete a group of thumbnails. I highlight one, press/hold shift to highlight another and the first one I selected becomes unselected. I've been working on the same document for about 20 minutes now trying to delete blank pages sprinkled throughout a 180 page pdf and extract small groups of pages. I keep having to either redo everything or totally close and redo everything. Toolbars are small. Toolbars are on both left and right. Those on the right make no sense (save and print....really? Top…

Bug: Returning to previous search result from last result produces unexpected "finished searching" message
Bug: When searching for a text string and clicking on the right arrow to get to the last search result (say, 5 of 5), then clicking on the left arrow to go back to result #4 (4 of 5), produces unexpected message in a pop-up dialog: "Adobe Acrobat has finished searching the document. No more matches were found."
I would expect this message to pop up only after the user clicks on the right arrow to go to the next search result past 5 of 5.1 vote
