  1. When I try to connect to my Adobe account, after I am authenticated in the browser and go back to the application, I no longer can interact with anything (I get a beep sound as if the window was blocked by something or disabled though it's visual style doesn't change).
Even after I close it, there are processes left running in the Task Manager which I have to terminate forcefully in order to open Adobe Reader again.

This happens with the latest version 2023.006.20360 on Windows

  2. I ABSOLUTELY do not like the new version of Acrobat Pro!!!!!!!!!! It is not user friendly at all!!!!!! Is there anyway to switch back to the old version? I use this program for my business on almost a daily basis. What used to take 5 minutes now takes me an hour just to find what used to be at my finger tips. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!!!!!!!

  3. The new version of Acrobat moves tools to the left and navigation tools to the right without giving an option for users to customize the location. Having page navigation on the right is unergonomic because the natural reading order is left to right, and people click bookmark titles and page numbers before reading the page content. In books, the table of contents comes before the main content of the book, and you flip rightwards after choosing a chapter to read.

With navigation on the left, the tools would be on the right-hand side in the new version. This makes intuitive…

  4. Description : We would like to restrict the ‘save as pdf’ option for Encrypted/Do not forward emails only.
Why the feature is needed : Currently we are able to use the ‘save as pdf’ option for Encrypted/Do not forward outlook emails - hence able to save and share the such emails to other users (who are not supposed to receive the info). Hence, we would need this restriction to eliminate the security gap.

  6. I am frustrated by the view or placement changes of the menu. It seems the menu items on the top left (save, print, tools, etc.) are now on the right and the items on the right (editing menu) are now on the left side. Automatically I go to the left to get something and find it has been moved and have to look on the right, I am searching back and forth all day, very frustrating. I like the new editing features, but just leave the menus where they were and where we are used to it being. Your new…

  7. Return to the previous version's interface. Reduce the additional steps added in new version and eliminate the over-complification of simple procedures. I just spent an hour trying to number my pages. I found the functions only after looking up on Google and searching for 20 minutes. But the windows themselves were absolutely NOT intuitive. I had to contact an agent. The first agent I got disconnected from. Bates numbering was made to appear as the only option, but the agent showed me how to find the plain numbers under header and footer on the edit toolbar. But via the previous…

  8. When using a shared mobile device, we need to limit the visibility of previously accessed files by other users. This could be accomplished by removing access to the "On this device" option within Acrobat mobile.

Secondly if we could remove the system from requesting permission to the "All file access" so that permission couldn't be granted by the user afterward.

To summarize, here are the following requests for configuration options:

    1. Remove the "allow access to your files to view, modify, and save PDFs" See attached image 1Featurerequest

    2. The ability to hide "On this Device" as a file location selection. See…

  9. Everytime my computer goes to sleep, Acrobat DC "hangs up" and I'm forced to close the application and reopen files.
This seems like a new problem and an unnecessary glitch/inconvenience..

  10. Do you intend to develop the possibility to apply dynamic stamps directly from Adobe Cloud rather than from Adobe Acrobat DC or Reader in order to avoid extra manipulations ?

  11. -The new update has the "Fill in Form Field" button in a prominent place on the toolbar and it is the only text looking button in the default toolbar. Everyone in my design office mistakenly thought it was the text box tool and was extremely frustrated trying to redline documents. As designers, we do not use this software primarily for forms or even text documents, but for reviewing and commenting on drawings. Though I customized my toolbar and added what I need, it is not possible to remove the Fill in Form button from the tool bar, or even to…

  13. When opening PDFs from various sources, I often receive a JS pop up stating "This pdf form requires a newer version of Adobe Acrobat...", in spite of having the latest version of Reader (23.008.20555 as of this post) installed. There are often multiple (as on 3-7+) popup dialogs that repeat this message whether OK or Cancel is pushed (the only difference being OK opens a browser window to redownload what I already have).

The PDFs in question are often generated by 3rd parties, E.G. Tax preparation software online. One such recent example used iText 2.0.7, which uses PDF version 1.5…

  14. Zooming in with "ctrl" and "+" keeps cycling from 100% to 95% (ie, when zooming in one increment, Acrobat automatically and immediately zooms back out by the same increment).

  15. 不要每次開啟都預設展開「所有工具」側欄,九成以上情境用不到,非常佔位。建議提供選項讓使用者決定要不要展開。
Don’t expand the “All Tools” sidebar by default every time I open it. It will not be used in more than 90% of situations and takes up a lot of space. I'd recommend you to provide options for users to decide whether to expand or not.

  16. I have been using Acrobat Read (paid) for 1 year.

The application is trashy at its best.

    1. Had crashes when exporting from word to pdf. It crashes 3/6 times.

    2. Export to pdf from word was changed recently and the user experience was broken. After the export to pdf the user is moved from the existing line to the beggining of the document. If you do this 100 times per day and if you work continously with the export this is not work - the product that designed this is idiot. He should have asked the customers. This new „feature” was…

  17. Please provide a Preferences setting to choose the application window a style at startup i.e. Minimised, Normal, Maximised, Remember Last, .
On my system (Windows 11 22H2) Acrobat x64 ALWAYS starts Maximised which I find very irritating as I use a large screen. Any setting in the Application Shortcut Properties (Run: ) is ignored. This should also be fixed.

  18. In previous versions of Mac Reader, the blue info banner "This file claims compliance with the PDF/A standard and has been opened read-only to prevent modification" could be dismissed without side-effects by clicking on the circled-i symbol. In the otherwise much improved 2023.008 version, this useful capability has unfortunately been lost. That banner is an irritating waste of valuable screen space (for people like me who spend long hours doing research in PDF/A files) and should either go away automatically after a few seconds, or be dismissible as it was before.

  19. There used to be button under Preferences->General where if you selected it, anytime you opened a new PDF file, it would open in a new window rather than in a new tab. There's still a space in the Preferences menu where it could go, almost like it was omitted unintentionally. Could we have that back pretty please? I need to view multiple PDFs simultaneously.

  20. Please make the Prepare Forms/Fields panel able to increase size side to side. I use long names for the fields and need to see them in whole. I use a wide monitor and don't need to see as much pasteboard when I work fill fields. The Comments panel can stretch side to side and I could really use that ability with the Fields panel.
