   Classic Version of Acrobat Pro DC able to unsynchronise, split of old and new file in separate monitor screens and also able to edit/delete/add comments in "Compare report". 2. Fails to parse Unicode (unlike eg Preview.app and Chrome PDF viewer)

   For example, Acrobat can neither copy/paste nor search for any of the following characters:

   Ψ (psi), Φ (phi), † (dagger)

   For example in this document (also attached to this post for convenience): https://arxiv.org/pdf/2102.12560.pdf?download

   I'm guessing it's all Unicode characters? But I haven't tested that thoroughly enough to know if that's precisely right. Regardless, this issue arises daily for me (mostly because of the Greek letters).

   I only tested 3 other PDF readers, but none of them have this limitation: macOS's Preview.app, Chrome's PDF viewer, Safari's PDF viewer

   It would help me a ton if Acrobat let us copy/paste and search those characters.

   I am not quite sure why, when I save documents on my phone, they do not autosync to the online applications and/or applications downloaded to my desktop/laptop (or any combination of those, like if I save on my laptop why isn't it on the app on my phone).

4. Make it possible to determine if using the 32-bit or 64-bit version using JavaScript.

   Currently, it is possible to query the version number (app.viewerVersion), if its Pro/Standard/Reader (app.viewerType), and operating system (app.platform). However, I can't seem to find any way to read if its x86 or x64. Adding this seems like a logical next step for me with the release of 64-bit Adobe Acrobat.

5. Lagging when comments are open on m1

   Using acrobat on the m1 with native OS mode on. When opening the search box or comment scrolling through the pdf starts to lag. Its not a smooth experience at all.

7. open cross-references to same document in new tab/window

   please add a functionality that allows you to open a cross-reference to a point within the same document in a new tab/window. currently when you click a cross-reference the reader jumps to the linked section in the document and the current position where the link was clicked from gets lost. this happens a lot of times when you read a scientific script for example and there are references to figures/tables on a different page. every time you click a link and you want to go back afterwards it takes a lot of time to scroll back to the origin page. i posted this issue to the community and got told to submit a request here by an adobe support team member.

   Ich arbeite oft mit Ihrem Reader und nutze da auch die Kommentarfunktion. Mir ist aufgefallen (so erschien es mir zumindest), daß ich beim Schließen durch das "x" rechts oben vom Programm nicht immer gefragt werde, ob ich die Änderungen abspeichern möchte. In dem Fall, in dem mir das passiert ist, hatte ich nur innerhalb eines einzigen, bereits vor dem Öffnen bestehenden Kommentars Änderungen durchgeführt. Diese sind dann verloren gegangen. Vielleicht kann man das ja ändern, damit so etwas nicht auch anderen Usern passiert. Denn möglicherweise merken manche User nicht mal, daß Sie etwas verloren haben, weil ihnen gar nicht auffällt, daß sie dieses Mal nicht vom Programm gefragt wurden - das wäre dann unter Umständen noch ärgerlicher. Denn wenn man überhaupt nicht weiß, daß wichtige Dinge verloren gegangen sind, ist das schlimmer, als wenn man es weiß. Denn da kann ich diese Dinge zumindest noch einmal nachtragen.

12. Acrobat Reader DC stopped working on Windows 10 PC no error message

    Acrobat Reader DC has stopped working on my PC (Windows 10 Pro, Version 21H2). The last time it worked I was writing in LaTeX (Distribution: MikTex, Editor: Texmaker). Acrobat Reader worked fine for a long time even when writing in LaTeX. But somehow it suddenly stopped. I tried reinstalling Acrobat Reader, tried some workarounds in the registry, messed with some file names, tried repairing it in windows programs and features and tried compatibility mode but nothing worked. I can't really imagine any way in which LaTeX would cause the Reader to crash. LaTeX outputs pdf files but the programs don't work together. What's weird too is that I don't get an error message. I click on the Reader shortcut, than the loading icon pops up for a split second, than nothing happens. Viewing pdf files on my browser works fine though. The last thing I tried was uninstalling Miktex and Texmaker. But that didn't solve my issue.

17. [Bug] Acrobat Pro 2020 Preflight Droplet Error Text report not being created

    Hello,

    We are using custom preflight droplets with Acrobat XI to perform batch/automated conversion. We are opting to upgrade to Acrobat 2020.
    When creating preflight droplets, there is an option to select an error folder and create an error report in the error folder with specific formats (PDF, XML, Text) on any preflight error.
    For our case, we are using Text format for the error report as it is less verbose (the preflight rules are not listed unlike XML) and easily extractable and logged in a log file (unlike PDF).

    However in Acrobat Pro 2020, it seems that there is a bug in the error report using Text report (no issues in PDF report and XML report), where the error report was not being created. We tried the success Text report and the success report was being created in the success folder. We tried to switch the error and success folders, in the case the error was in the folders, but the success text report is being created properly. We also checked the display a summary PDF option in order to know the exact error report path which is displayed in summary PDF and it is correct. We tried the error PDF and XML reports and they were created.
    We tried replicating the issue using Acrobat built-in preflight profile to see if the issue was in our custom preflight profile but we could also replicate the issue using the Acrobat built-in preflight profile using different files.

    Can anyone confirm officially if this is a bug for Acrobat Pro 2020?

    Steps to reproduce the issue
    1. Create a preflight droplet for the Acrobat built-in "Convert to PDF/A-1a" preflight profile
    (Open Acrobat > Tools > Print Production > Preflight > Options > Create Droplet > PDF Standards | Convert to PDF/A-1a)
    2. Under "on error" check "Create report and save in error folder", and select "Text report" in the "Settings".
    3. Click on "Error folder..." and select the error folder.
    4. Check the last option to "Display a summary PDF ..." so that the results and error report path will be displayed.
    5. Click on "Save" to create the preflight droplet .exe file.
    6. Get a PDF sample which is guaranteed to fail for a PDF/A-1a conversion (e.g. PDF/A-1b sample without mark info / structure info https://tcpdf.org/files/examples/example_065.pdf) and simply drag and drop it on the preflight droplet icon to execute the preflight droplet for the file.

    Environment (OS, other related application versions, etc.)
    Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard, Acrobat Pro 2020 Release (Classic) | Version 2020.004.30017

    Expected Result:
    The text error report (with .txt extension) should be created.

    Observed Result:
    The text error report (with .txt extension) is not created.

18. Bug Report - Update 2021.007.10096 is not working

    Update for version 2021.007.10096 is not working. I've tried it three times through the Acrobet Updater and once through the Creative Cloud updater. Each time it ends with: Error. Please try again later." I am using Adobe Acrobat DC version 2021.007.20091 running on Mac OS Big Sur version 11.6 on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016).
