2. Cannot save to this filename

   We started seeing this Save error on 12/30/24 with no change on our end other than keeping Adobe Acrobat Pro and Reader up to date with current version (2024.005.20320 64-bit). PCs OS is both Windows 10 and 11 pro. Our network share is DFS but testing done on non-DFS storage doesn't exhibit this issue nor does local storage.
   Users edit a file on their network share and click the Save diskette icon expecting for the changes to save. Instead, they get the following dialog boxes and the following error:

   Confirm Save As: Name.pdf already exists. Do you want to replace it? (Yes/No)
   Adobe Acrobat: The document could not be saved. Cannot save to the filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.

   Followed by the Save As screen with a random filename ending in .tmp.
   I understand that turning off Enhanced Security in Acrobat is the fix for this but that's not going to happen. I also understand this error has been reported as far back as 2013 and another issue with DFS and opening multiple PDFs has also been reported.

   I'm here today to inform Adobe and the community that this Save/Save As bug is back as of the last Adobe update. Testing we've done shows this is not a permissions issue. The error is reproducible at will. The number of folders deep the file is located isn't related.

3. PDF text disappears in Acrobat Application but opens fine in Acrobat for web

   Does anyone else have this issue of opening a PDF in the Acrobat application, and the text disappears, but when you open it in the Acrobat for web or in the preview app, its totally fine. Like what am I paying $25 a month for if the Web version is more reliable.
   
   Have tried to do all the suggested check for updates/ embed text/ remove security settings etc etc but still haven't been able to get it to work

4. Application Crashes When Adding Header/Footer

   Acrobat Standard Continuous Release, Version 2024.002.20857, Window 10 64bit. The application crashes when using the add header/footer function. The crash occurs when any field is modified, ie, text entry, in the header/footer editor shown.

5. AA keeps lagging

   I keep trying to add notes and highlights to the documents I'm working on. The lagging is unbelievably frustrating. I am literally getting a lag every 10 seconds. Given how expensive this membership is, such basic issues should not be happening. Please help or I will be inquiring about compensation for such a faulty product

7. Adobe & AI have become a useless piece of ****

   Adobe & AI has made it impossible to ADD TEXT and it fails to auto correct spelling. Adobe has become a useless pice of **** product. and i want a refund & extra money for waste of time & damages due to stress. Everything now takes 10X as long as it once did. 9. Characters Encoding Problem

   Hi,

   I’m really sorry to say this, but Adobe Acrobat Pro on desktop has been extremely slow—especially when editing text. It’s frustrating and feels almost unusable at times. What’s even worse is that after spending an hour editing a document, saving it causes all Turkish characters to turn into unreadable symbols. Why does this happen?

   I understand you might suggest adjusting font or encoding settings, but why should a regular user have to deal with that? I’m not supposed to troubleshoot your software—I expect it to work smoothly, especially considering the cost of the Pro version.

   Yes, I am actually an engineer, but I shouldn’t have to spend my time fixing basic functionality. The lagging is tolerable, but corrupting the text after all that effort is unacceptable. Please make the product live up to the value it’s priced at.

10. Critical Bug: Launching Calendar Control crashes Adobe application

    Some freebies for Adobe devs, While editing an existing pdf document and if the field has calendar control when clicked as per below steps, the application crashes entirely and unsaved data is lost and non-recoverable;

    1. Open any editable pdf in Adobe desktop application where one of the field has 'Calendar Control'
    2. Without clicking on the calendar control itself, manually enter a date for ex: 21/06/25 and tab out, it will automatically format the date
    3. Now click on the same calendar control and see the magic.

    Actual Results: The entire app instance is wiped killed from Windows Memory as if it was never launched.

    Relaunch it again and try opening the same pdf and those 'Recover' button reminds me Windows-98 time. Good Luck :)

    OS: Windows-10 : Version 22H2
    App: Adobe Acrobat Reader: 2025.001.20531 | 64 Bit

    Many users in my circle- who are genuinely excited about the capabilities your platform offers- are hesitant to subscribe due to the relatively high costs, especially for features that are considered basic or essential. As a result, there's a growing shift towards freeware tools and open-source alternatives, not necessarily because they offer a better experience, but simply due to their affordability.

12. Highlight Tool: Floating brush & bin icon/palette

    The little palette described in the title just appears in fairly random positions below whatever I've just highlighted. It's very often in the way, as I'm working my way down a list. In the case of the attached image, I'm working my way down a bank statement & the palette is covering up the next number (in the grey horontal bar). I can click away to clear it but that is quite lterally doubling the amount of work I have to do. I personally don't need it there at all but I can see how it might be useful to some. I think it would be helpul if we could change the position of it or switch it off completely the way you can with the coordinates box in Photoshop.

13. 2022 GWG preflight profiles for Adobe Acrobat

    Similar to the 2015 GWG preflight profiles, are there plans to publish the GWG 2022 profiles for Acrobat as well?
    I asked GWG and they gave me this answer:

    "There are a number of reasons why that I think is not possible at the moment:
    Adobe Acrobat does not support JavaScript in their preflight plug-in, and the Sign & Display profile we have for GWG 2022 does include that (in order to handle the viewing distance and page scaling factors). This could be worked around, however...
    The preflight technology embedded in the preflight plug-in, is a (much) older version of the callas technology that simply doesn’t support many of the things needed to implement all of the GWG 2022 checks..."

    Bug Report: Combine PDF Feature Opens in Reader Instead of Acrobat & Skips Files

    When I attempt to use the "Combine files in Acrobat" shortcut in Windows Explorer, it consistently opens Adobe Reader instead of Adobe Acrobat, even though Acrobat is installed and set as the default. Reader cannot perform the combine function so nothing happens. Additionally, when attempting to combine more than 15 files, some files are skipped and not included in the final PDF.

    Steps to Reproduce:
    I select multiple PDF files in Windows Explorer.
    Right-click and choose “Combine files in Acrobat.”
    Adobe Reader launches instead of Acrobat.

    Impact to me:
    This issue is causing a major slowdown in my productivity within a deadline-driven legal publishing company. It disrupts my workflow and requires manual intervention to complete tasks that were previously quick and easy.

    Workarounds I have attempted:
    Manually combining files within Acrobat (functional but time-consuming).
    Uninstalling Adobe Reader, but it reinstalls automatically when using the shortcut.

    Please prioritize a fix for this bug or provide a reliable workaround that does not require modifying system files. A clear method to prevent Reader from launching would be greatly appreciated.

15. Image Lock

    Images within a PDF need a lock option that would make it so that the image cannot be moved or edited unless the lock is turned off. -- Backgrounds and large images located behind text often get selected when trying to edit text, however they're necessary to have in location for reference during the editing process.

16. Go back to the previous version

    Do the people who created this new software ever use Adobe Pro? It is terrible. The user interface was better with the previous version, editing a document has become extremely difficult. I am going to have to see if my company will switch to a competitor. Only reason we use Adobe is because we are a very large Microsoft customer and I guess Adobe is often teamed with Microsoft.

17. Copy a text box across multiple pages

    When processing information requests, I often redact multiple pages. Each redacted page requires a note (currently using a text box) regarding the reason for the redaction. If I have a range of pages that all get redacted for the same reason, I would like a feature where the same text box can be copied on the range of pages without having to manually copy and paste the text box onto each page. I am considering a subscription, and this would be an enticing feature.
