  1. SetContents does not work to change the displayed text of a FreeText item, such as a callout for Interapplication Communication with Acrobat (https://opensource.adobe.com/dc-acrobat-sdk-docs/acrobatsdk/pdfs/acrobatsdk_iacguide.pdf). It is works to change the display text of comments, but not FreeText items.

  2. When creating a comment with richt-click
    - create the comment-icon in the center of the click
... not below the top-left corner of the comment-icon
... I think this is much more intuitive for organising your lay-out of comments.

  3. Scenario: You attempt to comment on page n by rightclicking and using the comment function, while you are scrolled so far down, that page n+1 is already displayed as your current page.
The Result: You create a comment marker on page n+1, however it is located in the same position that you had selected on page n.
This is obviously not intended and probably a result of generating the page position of the comment by checking the "current page" of the document instead of using the page that was actually right clicked on.

  4. The export comments to Word is bugged and puts all comments into an empty file with no text. It exports as Word comments. This is not useful to anyone. I see that it was previously exporting along with the file contents. But now is not doing in the DC Pro. Seems to be a bug. Please resolve and allow to export comments to a flat file tabulation in Excel with columns for the comment, paragraph and page reference, reviewer, date. This can be used for creating comments resolution sheets as record of the review. I hope to see this functionality…

  5. When I copy text callouts from one PDF file to another, often times it is rotated the wrong way upon insertion. To fix this, I usually have to make a new comment instead and only copy-paste the actual text. This is very annoying, and there should be a feature that enables you to rotate these comment objects on the page to make them upright again. Or just automatically detect which way is upright upon insertion.

  6. Highlight shape is functionally broken

    Brief title
Text highlight appearance is functionally broken and makes identification of highlighted text arbitrarily and unnecessarily difficult.

    Steps to reproduce the issue
    Highlight some text

Environment (OS, other related application versions, etc.)
    OS: macOS 11.6.8
    Architecture: x86_64
    Processor: Intel
    Build: 22.2.20191.0
    AGM: 4.30.120
    CoolType: 6.2.4
    JP2K: 2.0.6.50420

    Expected result
Text highlight should make it absolutely unambiguous which characters are highlighted and which are not.

    Observed result
Acrobat apparently sacrifices basic, fundamental functionality in the name of… what? Aesthetics? See attached image for comparison of Acrobat behaviour with a couple of normal, non-user-hostile apps.
    As…

  7. Please make the check mark stamp much smaller. I'm an accountant. The stamps are so big they run over and interfere when trying check lists of information on a document. The check marks should either have an option to set the size or just make them no larger than can easily fit line by line on a bank statement or financial report.

  8. On the browser, one can highlight. However, these highlights dont get transferred to comments (the way they do on desktop app). It is quite a simple feature. Please add it.

  9. When I click the comment icon pointing to the spot on the pdf and look in the right hand comments column to see what the comment is, it is impossible to see what item is the one I just clicked on. There is a very faint grey background that is very hard to see. Can you make it more obvious which comment is the one I clicked on?

  10. When I double click he text in a text box that I added, in order to change the font size or color, the editing widget covers up what I'm trying to edit. I'd like to be able to move that widget somewhere else on the page while I'm editing so I can see what I'm editing. Otherwise, I have to move my textbox, edit it, then move it back.

  14. The reliability of the Adobe software has decreased significantly over the past couple years. A number of times, the program has not kept updated changes I've made to documents, which has caused unnecessary re-dos. And very frequently, the software crashes and stops working. This is especially inconvenient when I'm saving changes; these glitches keep any changes made from being saved.

I've kept the software updated and continue to have issues. Help.

  15. After multi-selecting comments (or even selecting a single comment) and then using the "Export Selected to Data File" menu option, the resulting FDF file contains all comments from the original PDF. I'm running Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on MacOS. I've tried reinstalling. Is this a known bug?

  20. The Comment Panel was much better in Adobe Acrobat 9, that is the whole reason I didn't want to go to DC, but now I don't have a choice because of security. I think you should be able to move the panel to the bottom like in Adobe Acrobat 9. Also this version, as soon as you click on it, it takes up 2" for one comment, that's just crazy. Also, the filter function doesn't hold, I have in the past in Acrobat 9, selected to show None so only my comments that haven't finished show up. But in this…
