In Acrobat X a text annotation (created with the Typewriter tool) could easily be selected by merely clicking on it. In Acrobat Pro 2017 there seems to be no way to select it. This is a real show stopper for me since I often need to delete or copy/paste a group of selected line, text, and other annotations.1 vote
I'd love a way to tag reviewers in a comment—or in a reply to an existing comment—in a review PDF (hosted internally) that's set up for Shared Commenting, so that they may be notified via email of the comment in the document.
Some reviewers proof the document early, make a comment, and then never revisit the shared review PDF, so if someone replies to their comment, they do not see it. That has left the onus of communicating the missed replies and being a go-between on a single person in our organization.1 vote
(Mac Acrobat Pro - all up to date)
In the comments column the selected comment goes a slightly darker grey.
For me this still does not make this comment stand out enough.
Is there a way to change this to something more prevalent?
Thanks in advance
A customer described how he uses multiple colored pens to mark up printed drawings and wants to be able to do something similar with the Acrobat commenting tools. He requested the ability to setup multiple pen thicknesses and colors for easy access, similar to the way PowerPoint allows the creation of multiple pen styles (see attached).1 vote
After I click "done" after reviewing an online PDF in the commenting interface, here's what I got in all red (screenshot attached, too):
Encountered an Unexpected Error
TypeError: Cannot read property 'router_path' of undefined
It is not intuitive any more to bring up the panel on the right showing all comments in the document. I figured it out eventually, but should be a much easier, more user-friendly option.1 vote
Twice in the last two weeks, DC refused to save the same file with comments. I clicked on save, and the save box came up empty. I tried all alternatives, including saving to cloud, and nothing worked. So I lost the results of two work sessions. I'm using latest version of DC on Toshiba laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium. I've tried rebooting before running DC, but it didn't help. What's the solution?1 vote
Need measurements to be available in feet and inches. Not decimal.1 vote
I realize others have this issue too so I am here hoping the squeaky wheel...1 vote
Add selection tool for selecting all comments on each page in bulk. In addition, add the rotate comment tools by selecting all comments.
This is required while shifting comments from Old PDF document to New PDF document with major change in sheets/ orientation etc.1 vote
Need a cell library or "my tool" section for special shapes used over and over in multiple documents
Need a cell library or "my tool" section for special shapes used over and over in multiple documents. Often I comment on engineering plans and have to create special shapes and text boxes which are used repeatedly. It be nice to save them somewhere to make life easier.1 vote
For the tool "comment," please allow users to keep that toolbar open, even when opening new files. It is a huge pain to keep clicking every time1 vote
After the import of comments by a Acrobat Forms Document, some comments are double and at wrong positions.1 vote
If I draw an open polyline (complete without closing a multi-segment line) and then undo and redo it, the entitly will be re-done as a closed polyline (not open).1 vote
Every time I want to highlight something, the highlighted words are non-continuous, it is very laggy and only highlights part of the text I've selected, such as a few letters. It is very annoying as I am a student and highlighting the key points during lectures is very important for my studies. Hope that Adobe can fix this as I really like Acrobat's full compatibility with PDF files but I would like to have seamless highlighting as well.1 vote
Unbelievable to me that I can't just simply paste a URL from a site into a comment box. Shows up as text squares as though it can't find the font *helvetica*
For some reason I can just paste it right onto the page, but not into a comment box.1 vote
under comment, the Acrobat Pro DC no longer lets me put a cloud markup on the PDF that we generate here. I get a hand with the index finger pointing up....
well... it looks like the index finger....1 vote
When filtering comments by ‘completed’ and then actually selecting a comment as having become ‘completed’ it is not removed from the list of visible comments. You need to go to filters, turn it off and back on again to clear the ‘completed’ comments. Very frustrating. It’s worked as intended before this latest update.2 votes
1) Allow me to select dotted or dashed lines for rules and arrows.
2) Allow me to select arrowheads on both ends of a rule.
3) Allow me to select arrowheads for connected lines.1 vote
