  1. Acrobat should support DataFormats.FileDrop into the pages list so that file managers other than Windows File Explorer could drop PDFs into it.

  3. Users assigned Desktop Only versions of Acrobat can log into Adobe.com, but the installer download links go to Document Cloud, and they receive Access Denied errors. Please relocated the installers to an accessible location and update the links.

  4. Remove some of the clutter on the top bar, it make so I can see only 2 or 3 tabs since the update.

I also wish you would allow us to make the checkmark smaller than the current smallest setting. It is clumsy for fine print text.

  5. The Acrobat Plug-In for IE had a button for "Send file as email". This allowed people to mark up the PDF document and then easily send it via email. The current Chrome Extension doesn't include this option. This feature is used quite a bit by a number of our users.

  7. Hello,

I'd like to report an issue with the Adobe Acrobat Chrome extension.

The following describes the usage of Chrome's search side panel feature: searching for something via the address bar, selecting one of the search results, and then clicking on the Google icon in the address bar with the hover-over text "Open search in side panel". This opens a side panel showing the search results (a bit of an odd design for the feature in my opinion, but whatever) in addition to the main area containing the current web page.

The issue is that as the side panel appears…

  10. One of our clients is experiencing issues with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. We have an Internet Explorer/ActiveX application in which a user can view PDF files through Internet Explorer's 'Adobe PDF Reader' ActiveX control.

When the user closes the control, Acrobat DC's AcroRd32.exe will close a moment later. If the user opens another PDF document too quickly after closing the first one, this new instance of AcroRd32.exe will not shut down properly even after closing the control.

Adobe Reader DC does not have this issue, but there it appears related to the 'Enable Protected Mode at startup' checkbox under 'Security…

  11. I read PDF files with a lot of hyperlinks. Once I have picked a hyperlink, how do I return to my current page?

Picking the down arrow seems to work on occasion, but in general it seems to pick a random page to return to.

  15. Acrobat Pro was a great product. Your new product Acrobat DC SUCKS! It's a pain ********** to use. I wish there was another option because if there was, I would use it.

  17. In Acrobat Pro, you could send a document out for shared review.

This shared review was viewable and comment-able by everyone in your shared review.

The reviewers could do things like highlight text, underline, strikethrough, and the like.

Reviewers can still do this Acrobat Pro DC, but with one exception:

    The "Add-Attachment" feature.

This feature has been removed from the browser-based review used in Acrobat Pro DC.

After spending three hours on with Adobe Support, we finally found a work-around that will allow it, but trying to explain this process to people who aren't good with computers is a total…

  18. When accessing Adobe Document Cloud via the Adobe Acrobat Pro desktop version, the application is using Google Chrome (80.x) agent internally.
The current version of chrome is 92.x.

Our company does not allow chrome versions below 82.x as this is insecure and has many vulnerabilities rendering the desktop version useless for us. Will adobe look to update this in the future?

  20. When opening a PDF file from Microsoft Edge browser the file now opens using a default Microsoft pdf reader of some sort. I checked to make sure that acrobat was the default application for opening .pdf files but that makes no difference. Adobe help desk said this is because of the latest windows update and the latest adobe acrobat update as well. This is really frustrating and makes workflow inefficient. Please fix this so acrobat can be used when opening .pdf files from browsers (had same problem with Chrome so does not seem to be a browser specific problem).

    Thank…
