Preference option to minimize RH Tools pane on file open in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
In a preferences option such that the Tools pane (on right hand sight of document window) will or will not display on PDF file open.
his will save time for what I anticipate is a large percentage of users that open PDF documents to read / comment without necessarily using the tools pane on RH side of the window.

commentedWe should be able to check a box so that this tools pane does not automatically come up when opening a document. Why this isn't available is mind boggling given that you can do this with Reader.

commentedSame concern. It doens't remember the last file's settings. Even better would be an option to permanently hide it for all documents.

commentedIn Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (2015 Release - v.2015.006.360033), when I collapse the RH Tools pane for a PDF document, and then save, close and re-open the document, the RH tools pane is open again (i.e. not collapsed). Consequently I then need to collapse the RH Tools pane again to remove the distraction when reading/commenting on the document. Be advised that I work in an enterprise environment in case that's relevant. As I thought the reason might be that I hadn't checked the "Restore last view settings when re-opening documents" preference, I went to the Edit/Preferences/Documents page and ensured that the "Restore last view settings when re-opening documents" box was checked within the "Open Setting" preference group. Hence my suggestion for a "Collapse Tool Pane when opening a document" preference option, separate and apart from the "Restore last view setting when reopening documents". In the alternate, (1) perhaps an equivalent preference option is available that I didn't see within Acrobat Pro DC Series 2015, or (2) an equivalent option is available within newer versions of Acrobat Pro DC. If the option is already available (i.e. I missed it), please advise. Otherwise, seems to me that a "Collapse Tool pane on file" option c/b useful to many. Thanks.

Hi, Acrobat Pro DC right hand tools pane behavior is sticky. If you collapse it once, it stays collapsed unless you open it. Could you please share if you are seeing a different behavior? Thanks,
