Have this issue as well. How do we get the fonts that we used in the working InDesign file to work in the pdf?
I am inserting in a line that they can change on the pdf form and the font I'm using isn't in the Acrobat available fonts.

I'm editing a document that uses a font that is not included in my existing Adobe Acrobat Pro DC pool of fonts? How can I add a new font?

Bilal's links do NOT work as they only explain how to install fonts when you have a specific font file on your machine.
However my issue, and the previous comments all show that the issue is when we Activate an Adobe Font through creative cloud, it shows up in other software but not in Adobe Acrobat.
Because it is an Adobe Font through creative cloud we don't have a font file to use as per the link instructions.
This appears to be an Adobe issue, not a Microsoft/windows issues.

So, have got some unique fonts via creative cloud, which I use in word, but then when I convert to pdf, I cannot get those fonts?????????? How bloody ridiculous, when I got the fonts via adobe in the first place!!!!!!!!

Hi all,
I have the same issue on Mac 10.13.6 Acrobat DC Pro 2019.
Missing fonts are installed on the sytem and they show up in Ilustrator but not in Acrobat.
Tried to clean cache and preferences but nothing worked.
Any idea ? -

I have activated 3 fonts from Adobe Fonts via the Adobe Creative Cloud. They appear in the word font menu, but when I convert to pdf, the fonts are automatically changed. When I go into edit pdf, I an see the Adobe Fonts there, so I can manually change them. It appears however that I cannot embed them, as they do not appear in any of the embedding font sources.

I had a small pop up. It included a few font choices. It also had a few choices in fonts like Staple font, Medium, Dark and you could select which font of your choice. I can't find it.
Please help

Hello: I have tried installing a custom font on my system, shutting down, relaunching Acrobat (I'm using Windows 10 and creative cloud apps) and Acrobat and Indesign still won't find it. The font is on the system as I can find it in Office docs. Any ideas how I can get the apps to recognise the font?

For that to work, you will need the original font file. To install the font:
On Windows: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/314960/how-to-install-or-remove-a-font-in-windows
On Mac: https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT201749After installing the font, relaunch Acrobat. You should be able to use the installed font in Acrobat after relaunch.

Thanks, I understand that however what I want to do is import fonts that are not currently available in the software, is that possible??

For editing to work, the font referenced must be present on the system.
