Acrobat DC hangs when running actions unattended

Created an action to process a folder of PDFs with OCR - very basic action. Runs fine when i am at my computer working on other things with Acrobat DC churning away in the background. But if I step away, the action will just grid to a halt and not make progress until I return to my computer. So I cannot let this run overnight. Very disappointed as the OCR and invisible text layer placement in the newest Acrobat is really well done, but the program is now worthless if I cannot let it run unattended.

    - Action you created = step1) "recognize text using ocr." Step 2) "save"

    - Does the issue specific to this action or all actions are behaving like this = This action only

    - OS detail = MacOS 10.13.2

    - Does the issue specific to this action or all actions are behaving like this
