Highlighting
It would be great to have multiple colors or options so you can highlight different topics and organize your note making.

Yes, but you should be able to select colors from the drop-down menu. Developers, just try and use more than one more color to highlight phrases in a 10-12 page document. Plan to change colors twice, every other page. You'll see that the menu isn't intuitive. Highlight>properties>color>type of color tool (3 choices)>make selection>close that window>close the final window. And the next time you want to highlight in a color not the default, you can do it all again.
Why not offer a drop-down menu for different (default) colors on the highlighter tool? Or a right-click option for top colors? Keep in mind that most people who use highlighters either use 1 or many.
And I would add, it would fantastic if I could move the highlighter/underliner/sticky note to the upper toolbar. This would keep me from having to select the comment tab, and then load that window before highlighting (or toggling to another color).

I am a technical writer. My document updates are derived from multiple sources and projects. If Acrobat could tag and categorize comments (like Outlook), creators and reviewers could sort and/or filter for the topic of interest.

This feature already exists. You can choose whatever colors you want. Use either the color picker or the Properties Toolbar.
