Provide Option to Hide Welcome / Home /Startup Screen
My Acrobat Pro DC opens automatically when I boot my Mac.
Each time I have to close the annoying start-up screen where the last documents are displayed. I don’t need it! Please provide an option again to disable this feature as it where in past versions of Acrobat. Thank you.

Agreed, this Home/Tool screen is of no use and just wastes time closing it every day. Please let us disable it so we can just get on with working efficiently. Thanks!

Totally agree! No one wants or needs to keep a window open with "recent docs"...put it under file like the other programs! The window is so annoying to have to keep closing every. single. time.

This "feature" is not helpful. Please allow users to disable this window! The whole UI has become more difficult to use over the past several years. Please prioritize text-based interface.

Still under review more than 2 years later?
I also have he latest Acrobat DC now and this start page is worse than ever. In the previous version it didn't show or was empty so it appeared as if it was not shown. Now I even see my name on it. WTF?!

Hello? Adobe? Hello? Is anybody there? Here's another user AGHAST having just "upgraded" to Acrobat DC for the first time today. Having a HOME screen or whatever you call it is a disaster! I have read that I can use Acrobat Reader and tick the preferences on that app to get this ELEPHANT off my screen. But why should I get angry, then find another app to rip this blindfold on my screen?

...I see the original comment was posted almost a year ago. Please, please, please do something about this instead of just waiting for 100 more people to complain. Why wouldn't you have just provided an option to disable the screen in the first place?

Totally agree. There should be an obvious way to disable the welcome/exit screen. I NEVER use it, and now I have to close one extra thing every time I close a PDF. Most PRO users probably need to open a specific document based on version control etc., and just giving the option to open "recent" documents doesn't help. When the screen is still there after closing a document, it's like you've said "ok bye" to someone and they're still just standing there...

Yes, please have an option to remove this screen. It's just annoying and timewasting. Having the option would allow those who like to have an extra interface to use it, and those of us who like to get on with our work to be free of this distraction.

Please get rid of this home screen thing. Make an option to TURN IT OFF. I HATE IT. IT'S INTERRUPTIVE. I'm not alone. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!

Please allow us to "never show again" the home screen. It is very irritating to have a useless window always opening just to create clutter and hide my view of other apps, windows, and Desktop. Thanks!

I would like to add to this request. The welcome screen is very annoying and very Microsoft Office like. Please give us the option to turn it off. Acrobat Pro needs to get back to being a PRO program.

I second this - please ensure this can be turned off on both Macs and PCs. There is no need for the home/welcome screen - particularly since it takes over the full viewable space. I just want to close a PDF when I close it - you aren't a productivity tool that I am going through like email where i need a persistent list anytime I close something.
