  2. I would be extremely helpful to have "dynamic" (for lack of a better term) paragraph fields, that do one or both of the following:

    1. The field expands as the person filling out the form enters text that extends beyond the pre-set dimensions

    and/or

    1. Automatically reduces the font size to fit the field if the person filling out the form enters text that threatens to extend beyond the pre-set dimensions of the field.

If this feature exists and I am missing something, please feel free to comment and let me know!

    Thanks!

  4. PDF form fields have a dialog box that allows you to enter specific size and location parameters. Text boxes should have the same functionality. Dragging text boxes around and eyeballing the alignment is unacceptable. I need to be able to type in the exact distance from the top (or bottom), and left side, as well as the exact height and width of the text box. This is in line with every other GUI form tool I've used since 1996. I don't expect Acrobat to be a full composition program, but precision placement of text isn't too much to ask.

  5. Problem: When adding calculations to a document, the checkboxes in that same document flash a keyboard when checked. Without the calculations, the checkboxes do not do this. Document 4 does not have calculations. 4C has calculations. You can see the difference in the behavior of the checkboxes.

  6. BUG:
After using form field auto detection, the program crashes to desktop (without any errors) as soon as any field is clicked on or when attempting to add a new field. Leaving the Prepare Form tool works as intended; the crash only happens when attempting to work further with the tool. Leaving and reentering the tool still causes crashes.

    WORKAROUND:
The only way I've found to prevent this is to use the "Export Data" tool (the .fdf export one). Once the data is exported, things seem to work fine, without even requiring a re-import or anything like that.

  7. When signing a PDF document and loading signed PDF into Acrobat Reader DC (v2022.001.20085, 64 bit). The file will load correctly but when clicking on on the signature it will give the error:

    Error during signature verification.

    Adobe Acrobat error.
    Bad parameter.

After a LOT of trail and error I found out why. This is because Acrobat does not follow the spec in some cases. This why some validation works correctly in some parts, but not others.

The field type (FT) shall be Sig, and the field value (V), if present,
shall be a signature dictionary containing the signature and…

  8. OS: Windows 10
    Acrobat Pro DC v2022.002.20191 | 64 bit

    Steps to reproduce:
    - open a PDF form with custom JS for textfield calculations
    - activate form tools
    - select a textfield and open properties / calculation
    - JS is at the custom field (bottom)
    - close the dialoge window
    - repeat it with other textfield (open/close)
    - repeat it with the first textfield
    - (optional) repeat it multiple times

observed result: with a ~50% chance the (saved) JS code is gone
expected result: JS code should be not deleted

looks like a windows problem, no problems on MAC so…

  10. When using prepare forms tool the right sidebar that lists the tab order for fillable fields is too small (20 characters max) and the only way to reorder tab order is by drag and drop.

Consequently, you drag something but you can not read the place that you are dragging to.

Fix the right sidebar where it is resizable.

  12. This has been reported before, but is still wrong in the latest version of Acrobat. The icons for 'Distribute Horizontally' and 'Distribute Vertically' are labelled the wrong way around. They function correctly when clicked; it's just the symbols that are wrong. If you look at the same feature in InDesign and Illustrator, you'll see that Acrobat does not match.

  13. Screen flashes and fields disappear when I'm preparing a form, especially when I'm zooming in to align fields. Usually the entire screen grays out and pieces will appear as I move my mouse around. Makes it nearly impossible to create a form. Extremely buggy!!!

  14. PDF Extractor is a powerful software that extracts text, images, and fonts directly from PDF documents. It provides various features like multiple file selection, page setting, showing file description, etc. The software's layout is simple enough to be used by beginners.

PDF Page Extractor can be used to extract fonts from Acrobat PDF files. This program can extract all fonts from a PDF file and save them to the location you choose. This feature is only available with the full software. To extract fonts, you will need to purchase the software.

To make it easy to understand, a PDF file…

  15. Can you please have the ability to unmerge check boxes that are copy and pasted on a form. At the moment this then means if someone checks box 1, box 2 will also be checked by default. Rather than having to put a unique identifier in, it would be handy if there was a way to say I am doing multiple check boxes apply a new code to each unless specified.

  16. Right-clicking in Prepare Form mode no longer brings up a list of form field options to add. Please bring this back. Having to scroll my cursor up to the toolbar every time I need to add a field is very annoying.

  17. I want my customers to be able to fill out an Adobe Form on an iPad with a feature to capture a photo of their ID. Currently there is not an image/photo capture field that can be included in the form. just the ability to add a photo to a form in the design.

  19. Bug is in the Properties window. If you enter something in the Name field, select all, and hit the tab key to go to Tooltip to paste that in there, Acrobat jumps to the next Field in the order instead of the next entry.

  20. When creating fillable fields, if I have previously created a field with multiline formatting, I often encounter a pop-up on subsequent fields if I attempt to create a date format, which tells me that I cannot format a multiline field as "date". In reality, I have not formatted said field as multiline, just a previous field.
In order to proceed with formatting my date field in this case, I have to enter formatting, and turn multiline ON, then OFF. Then I can go back to date formatting without issue. The same problem will occur multiple times per document if I…
