  1. I would welcome efforts by Adobe, including coordination with Nuance, to fully integrate Dragon Naturally Speaking into Adobe Acrobat DC. In trying to fill out editable forms in DC, it does not take my dictation directly into the space provided in the form. It requires me to use the Dragon Dictation Box, which is slow and cumbersome. This improvement would be greatly appreciated by disabled people such as me who have to rely on voice recognition to use their computers fully. I was able to dictate directly into this Comment Box. Thank you for considering my Feature Request.

  2. I hate the online pay monthly model, but to require online ability to use Acrobat is inane. I live in a rural area and travel ofter to areas with no connectivity. I have paid for this ***** program and to be denied access because I can not sign in is so infuriating that I can barely write this. I pay, and in advance. Why do you jerks do this??? ALso to require a new account and password to give feedback is asinine as well. FU Adobe

  4. Introduce the option to Pin the Page Thumbnail Pane open to view all pages as in previous versions. This should be a setting that is used whenever you open a new file.

  6. The idea is to change or allow highlighting area around a piece of text instead of the text itself. So I recently started using Adobe with High-Contrast colors and I prefer to see yellow text on black. But when highlighting in this mode, I barely see a difference in not highlighted text and highlighted text. This can be seen in the pictures attached. You can see that I have highlighted a piece of text but it's hard to tell unless you can notice the color difference (shades of yellow). However in the second picture it's standing out and can be…

  7. It's been over ten years since I sold the tech company I owned for 22 years. I've been enjoying retirement...until about a month ago! A friend recruited me to help convert some hard copy documents, produced in the mid-eighties, and make them into accessible PDF files. She knew I had some background in technology and specifically with creating PDFs from paper. The documents were going to be part of a new web site about the history of ADA! Given the nature of the site, the documents needed to be accessible! I downloaded Acrobat Pro DC (and a couple of screen…

  8. I do a lot of OCR text correction work and often need to be looking at the Content pane to help find and correct errors. I have found that if I am on one page and have selected the container of a block of text (while "review recognized text" is on) and then select a content group for a different page, Adobe freezes and eventually crashes. See attached screenshot for steps to recreate the crash.

  12. Since the update to version 2021.007.20099 was released, JAWS will open links with SHIFT+ENTER but not ENTER.
Even when opening with SHIFT+ENTER, JAWS does take you to the correct page, but reads text from a previous page.
This has been tested on my desktop with Win 10 Pro, my laptop with Win 11 Home, in Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
The issue has also been reported by other users who are members of the JAWS listserv.
Unfortunately, Adobe makes it difficult to revert to earlier versions which means that accessibility professionals like me have to release pdf's to the…

  13. Adobe Acrobat DC is virtually unusable on an iMac. The scrolling is unacceptably slow and cannot keep up. This is an issue that has been going on for ages. I have resorted to using Acrobat reader on a parallels virtual machine, where it is much faster.

Simply scrolling forwards and backwards uses up to 100% of the CPU and no graphics acceleration.

Why the **** don't you fix it Adobe? It's a disgrace.

  16. Hello,

To whomever may be competent to solve the problem....

There are several incomprehensible bugs with accessibility in Acrobat. Many tags are not correctly created, even if the link has been created directly from acrobat.

Links give problems of "tagged annotations - incorrect", recursively.

Problems with the establishment of the reading order, when the programme wants to, it does not tag correctly, those declared as artefacts do not disappear from the reading order, you try to remove a reading order from the structure and it does not do it, you try to mark it as another type of element and…

  17. Please change things around so that one can change the color in which searched for items turn up: a lot of the documents I work with are yellowing, and it makes it literally impossible for me to see where in a large page the word I'm looking for is located. Thank you! Rhodri

Thank you for connecting with us. Please follow the below steps to change the speed of Read Out Loud:
    1. Go to Preferences. (Ctrl + K)
    2. Go to Reading in Left hand navigation bar
    3. Under Read Out Loud Options heading, Uncheck Use default speech attributes and enter the speed in Words per minute field between 50 to 450.
    4. Click Ok and use Read Out Loud

Similarly you can change other attributes as well. Please confirm if this resolves your issue.

    Thanks

  20. My team is trying to remediate a lengthy PDF (200+ pages). In attempting to use the standard accessibility tools in PDF, we've been unable to add certain headers and all jump-to links to the reading order. For the jump-to links (appear as navigation buttons on every page to the user), they register in the correct tab order, but not reading order. We're unable to gain 508 compliance status without these items fixed. When we try to add the reading order number doesn't stay or, more often, Adobe Acrobat completely shuts down. We've tried working on it in InDesign, but nothing…
