Reading aloud
As a proofreader, I like to use the read-aloud feature. Acrobat's, however, is now unusable. It crashes on my Mac. I cannot read paragraph by paragraph. If I pause to insert a comment, it restarts reading from the top of the page. If there are columns, pullquotes, figures or tables, sometimes it reads across the width of the page instead of vertically. It's just a mess.
I used to be able to use my Mac's built in read-aloud feature, which allows me to select text to read out loud. That no longer works in Acrobat, although it does in all…

Arial font replaced with Wingdings/Z@RFC4D.tmp font
When opening some documents, the text is being replaced by wingdings. When checking what font is used in the Acrobat editor, the font is named "Z@RFC4D.tmp". The original font that's displayed when the file is opened on another computer is basic Arial. Colleagues at work have no issue when they open the same document.
I had to reinstall Adobe Acrobat to have it fixed. Then, it happened again a couple days later. I'm using Adobe Acrobat PRO 32 bits with paid license.

Give me back my View option so that I can find it easily
All I need to do when reading a pdf is turn it from the two page 'standard' to a single page scrolling. This gets the file to the right size so that I can read it.
This used to be on the top bar, View, and select the option. I can't find where you have hidden it, and neither the help nor the search tools brings it up as an option. Why have you made it so hard to do a basic operation that should be standard?3 votes -
viewing two documents in separate windows
You can open pdf files in separate windows if you have Office 365 and store documents on One Drive. After opening one file in Acrobat, on file explorer: right click on the 2nd file and choose View online. Then you can compare the two documents side by side.

Return to allowing "Hide Tools" on initial view
We distribute password-protected PDFs. One of the setting I've always used for the initial view is "Hide Tools." This not only preserves an uncluttered interface, but also prevents viewers from thinking they will be able edit the PDF. I was very surprised to see this option disappear. Please allow this setting again!

NEED A BUG FIX -"Get Started" splash screen pops up after opening every single PDF
The "get started" splash screen pops up when I open EVERY SINGLE PDF, even if Acrobat Pro is already open. This is clearly a bug that needs to be fixed. No setting in Preferences turns it off. There isn't even a "do not show again" tickbox on the splash screen. I can't do anything until I close the splash screen, which I have to do 50 times a day. This is the worst.

Recent upgrade made it much more difficult to rotate PDFs. It actually asks me to upgrade Adobe Acrobat to be able to perform this basic operation. It's frustrating.
