Lost Comments: The new app keeps deleting/not saving annotations
After actualization the new app keeps deleting/not saving the coments, the highlights, etc., all the modifictions I do to the pdfs. Why?! It is extremely frustrating, as I work with Academic texts in my PhD research, and I lose every single note I add. This never happened in the ancient app, which was very fine.
149 votesHi,
We’re really sorry for any inconveniences this has caused.
If you can answer any of these specific questions, that would be really helpful:
- How long had you been commenting for before you lost data?
- Did you click the ‘done’ button in the top left?
- Did you only use a single tool (highlight), or did you alternate?
- How did you leave the pdf you were commenting before your comments were lost? (Switching to another app, closing the app, etc.)
- Did you share the file?
- Did the app crash? If possible, would you mind taking a screen recording of the issue? You can find information on how to do so here: support.apple.com/en-us/HT207935
Thank you,

XFA forms: Adobe Acrobat Reader unable to open certain pdf files, suggests use of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for Mac or Windows
Adobe Acrobat Reader for IOS (running on iPad Pro) is unable to open certain files (in my case it is all the files sent by the South African Revenue Services, the receiver of revenue of the Republic of South Africa), yet Adobe Acrobat Reader for Microsoft Windows on my laptop opens them without a problem, even some email attachment files that the Reader for IOS says are corrupted. When openining such a file, a blank page with an error message comes up, and advises user to use “Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for MAC or Windows” to open the file (which…

Acrobat Reader mobile apps for iOS and Android do not support the special type of PDF called static/dynamic XFA form.
Please see the following Adobe LiveCycle blog that was written in year 2014.
We are not aware of any change of plan in the near future.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Open PDFs in OneDrive for Business with Intune MAM
OneDrive for Business and Adobe Acrobat Reader for Intune (iOS) is MAM Enabled. When trying to open a PDF in ONeDrive for Business from the Adobe Reader application, you get the error "The document cannot be opened because it is corrupted or damaged."
The Adobe app can open PDF's from a personal OneDrive, its only when on a OneDrive for business controlled by Intune MAM (App Protection Policies) it has the issue.
I believe this is a bug with Adobe Acrobat Reader for Intune (iOS)

Bug: Cannot mark up a PDF that has editing password applied
STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE:
Open the sample PDF file (attached) in Adobe Acrobat on your PC. In Acrobat, select 'File' > 'Properties' and note that a password has been applied to restrict editing of the document with 'Commenting', 'Filling of form fields', and 'Signing' unrestricted.
Now, open this PDF on your iPhone/iPad using the Acrobat Reader app. You will find that even though the PDF has Commenting enabled, there is no option provided to the user to either add comments to the document or apply mark-up using the Apple Pencil.
If you open the same PDF file in another…

I understand that if I edited the same pfd or open the same pdf on different devices will cause conflicted file, but I was just opening pdf on my iPad (without doing any editing or highlight/ underline on the pdf) for some weird reason I will have multiples conflicted files right after that. I tried to close the file right after I open it and still it will create multiple conflicted files. Please fix this bug for ***** sake. I’ve been using Adobe…

Phantom Files (local files only)
I have two pdf files on my iPad in adobe reader that have no content and cannot be opened, deleted, or renamed. They only have file names.
I would like to delete them but there does not seem to be any way to do that. I have tried to access them both in the Adobe app and using the Apple file app. Any suggestions?10 votes -
Send Copy Text
Whenever I'm sending a copy of a PDF, the following text will appear "Edit, Sign and share PDF files on the go. Download Acrobat Reader for mobile: https://adobeacrobat.app.link/getApp"
I am not sharing or saving PDFs with intention of promoting my adobe pro subscription. This is an annoyance because when I save a PDF to my files it saves it along with the text, which I then have to go and delete manually. When I'm sharing a copy of a PDF via Messages, I don't need the recipient to think that I want him to try the app or download…

Bug- Acrobat Download Txt File Spam
I have had and frequently use my premium Adobe Acrobat DC account on IOS (for both my iPad and IPhone) for several years now. I’ve had zero issues until this last update.
The issue that keeps occurring on both devices is rather strange and I can’t find a work around for it, and I have no idea why it started.
Whenever I go to save a PDF, send a PDF, from Adobe Acrobat, it automatically adds the following text file “ Edit, Sign and share PDF files on the go. Download Acrobat Reader for mobile: https:/adobeacrobat.app.link/getApp.txt
It cannot be removed…

Re-editing a PDF in Adobe Scan degrades the image quality.
Re-editing a PDF in Adobe Scan degrades the image quality.
The characters targeted for OCR are also slightly changed.
The image is degraded each time it is re-edited, making the text difficult to read. I don't know if this is a bug or by design, but it should be fixed soon.9 votes
