Using Hebrew to fill a form crashes acrobat
When filling out a PDF form in Hebrew it crashes.
The good news is that I found a fix: If I change the first field in the form to right to left (it is left to right by default) It does not crash anymore.

Last version of Adobe Acrobat (Aug. 8) crashing upon applying digital signature
Since the update of Adobe Acrobat Pro / Reader on Aug. 8, the software crashes upon applying a digital signature on a specific form of mine. After JavaScript is done executing, the prompt for digital signature does not appear, and the software crashes. If under a specific case, I manage to reach the prompt for digital signature, and I would cancel, the software crashes. The signature can be applied only when the user follows specific steps, but it has to be done every time the signature must be applied. After uninstalling the latest version and reinstalling the previous version of…

Cannot Combine PDF Fillable Field Forms with Same Fillable Field Names
I am trying to combine multiple template PDFs that have fillable fields. These fillable fields have unique information in each PDF document. Since this is a template document, the fillable fields are the same name. When combining the PDFs, the data from page 2 onwards gets overwritten by the data that was entered in the first document. Refer to case # ADB-29950592-T4D3. Customers should be able to combine PDF forms that have identical field names in the forms.
Also, customers should be able to "Request e-signatures" with Adobe Portfolio files.

Layers!
It would be great to have the Layers feature in Acrobat. That way a person could always have signatures visible and not hidden behind a form field!

Bug when emailing completed form as PDF
When creating a form and using the Execute Menu Item->Submit a Form in order to email the completed form to someone when they click on a link, the following message appears, even though PDF is selected in the Submit Form Selections:
"The attached file contains data that was entered into a form. It is not the form itself. The recipient of this data file should save it locally with a unique name. Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 or later can process this data by importing it back into the blank form or creating a spreadsheet from several data files. See Help…

autorecovery of edited PDF documents after PC crash or app crash
Right now the user has to dig through various TEMP folders in Windows in order to MAYBE find the document they spent hours working on before the program or Windows crashed.
The problem is that TEMP files are usually scratched after a reboot, so this means NIL former versions.
Other programs like MS WORD will show to recovered, unsaved documents prompt from a crash like this.
Why in 2023, is this not a feature in this commonly used program?

Fix "Delete Empty Tags" Option
The option "Delete Empty Tags" is still visible within the Acrobat UI and has been broken since an update was pushed September 2020. I understand from working through the Admin Console that there are no plans to fix this.
"Delete Empty Tags" is a very important function for PDF remediation. Since this option was broken three years ago, remediators have to manually delete each empty tag.
Please bring this back.

Adding Acrobat form features to InDesign
InDesign allows for the creation of PDF forms, including text fields, but unfortunately, it doesn't allow users to modify the text field as Acrobat can. For instance, I would like to be able to include default text in my forms (text that appears inside the text field after exporting my InDesign document to PDF); to align the text (left, right, center); etc. It also would be nice to be able to export from InDesign to an Acrobat Reader Extended PDF without having to do so from Acrobat. Adding these Acrobat capabilities to InDesign would be a huge time saver.

Case # E-000820640
I am looking for a true "blank" option in a dropdown list with properties that pass a "null" value in Acrobat Pro.
The blank should be filed as a label but should not show as an option in the dropdown.
I do not want to use a spacebar because it creates a blank option in the dropdown menu which means it’s technically not “null” or empty.
This can already be done in Microsoft Excel, but Acrobat does not recognize this feature.3 votes -
BUG: Text field > action > reset form: New text fields added are automatically added to the list and DEFAULT AS SELECTED
BUG: Text field > action > reset form > Make selections: New text fields added after the fact are automatically added to the list as they DEFAULT AS SELECTED. They should default as not selected as they did not exist before the field was made.

Document not saving
When I try to save a document after editing the form; I get a document cannot save, try saving under a different file name. Then it automatically deletes my document and goes right into my trash. When I try to retore and open the document it then gives me an error "There was an error opening this document. Access denied." but I could open the document on the drive online. This is frustrating as I am always organizing documents and if I can't be saving if I organize a page it will take me time to keep going in my…

Icons for 'Distribute Horizontally' and 'Distribute Vertically' are mislabelled
This has been reported before, but is still wrong in the latest version of Acrobat. The icons for 'Distribute Horizontally' and 'Distribute Vertically' are labelled the wrong way around. They function correctly when clicked; it's just the symbols that are wrong. If you look at the same feature in InDesign and Illustrator, you'll see that Acrobat does not match.

Cannot Install Reader DC and Acrobat Pro DC so as to Preview Forms
Our Enterprise Developers use Acrobat to create and publish forms. In order to verify the forms before publication they used to use Reader so they could see the form as a user would see and interact with the form, making adjustments as needed. They can no longer do this as Acrobat Pro DC prevents the installation of Reader DC. This needs to change ASAP

Users need a functioning switch between external JS editor and Mac OS
Javascript is essential to all but the most basic pdf forms. In the 10 years that I have subscribed to Acrobat Pro for Mac, Acrobat Pro has never worked with an external javascript editor. It will most often open a script in an external editor but will NEVER permit the user to resume work in Acrobat when the editor is closed: Acrobat always - no exceptions - freezes at that point and must be forced to quit, then reopened. Users have complained about this for years. Adobe will sometimes blame Apple. Adobe never solves the problem and does not appear…

Adobe not recognizing check boxes
I work for a municipality. I have to create numerous fillable forms that are posted online. A few years ago, Adobe had no problem turning these forms, created in either “LaTeX” or MS Word, into fillable forms. However, that is no longer so. Adobe is now unable to recognize “squares” or “boxes” used as checkboxes. This is a significant problem. Some of my forms have dozens or more checkboxes. Creating each one manually is a real chore.
There is no logical reason for this failure by Adobe. It did work correctly a few years ago. I am perfectly willing to…

I cannot get the external editor to open from Acrobat. I've never had this issue in over 11 years of creating PDF forms.
