1. press escape to dismiss "No matches found" dialog

   After using Find (Ctrl+F), I should be able to dismiss the "No matches found" dialog by pressing the Escape key. Not the Enter key. All other apps use Escape for this.

2. shortcut for extract

   Create an extract shortcut, just like copy or rotate with a shift/command+letter(E), so that once we have everything selected we can execute the extraction without pressing anything else. SOMETIMES pressing extract can be misclicked, and causes all the pages to unselect. I use this function every day all day for work and the new UI has caused many cumbersome problems such as this minor button. Adding the "extract" buton to my customized toolbar doesnt always save, so when I open a new Acrobat window it is not there. I have to just right-click on the pages to extract, which can be simplified to have a shortcut with keys.

3. Missing Settings section

   Provide a central place to change the Settings. For example, when I wanted to change the Opacity of Highlights, I spent good amount of time to find the way to do it. If there is a central place to change setting, it become easy to do it quickly.

4. the zoom in/out % box is so annoying

   (Windows users) after using Ctrl + mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out, the % box appears at the bottom right for a while, that makes me cannot use the space bar to scroll the screen immediately. It needs to wait for a while for the box to disappear. This is stupid and very bad user experience, pls fix it.

5. page control

   In the new version of Acrobat (just became available), the page control features need to be returned.

   In the old version, the page controls toolbar could be docked at the top or made so it would appear at the bottom of the page when the mouse went near it. That option was incredibly useful, please bring it back. It allowed an easy single click to change how the page was viewed, either by making single page view, or page scroll, and also by allowing a quick button to view page thumbnails.

   Also, in the new Acrobat, there doesn't appear to be a pan function, please bring that back too.

8. Document title placement on page after document has been named

   Where is the name of the document shown after it has been scanned in and named? Up until this morning, when I named a document, the name would show clearly at the top of the Adobe page. That way the page can rest in the background while i enter it into a database, and I could see the name of the document. Now I cannot even see where the document name is located anywhere on the Adobe page. How is it that the name of the document showing up is suddenly a design flaw? Why must any change to any program or app make things more difficult, more time-consuming?

    Every time, we're reaching the license users directly and we'll check whether they need the license or not. Due to this, some of the users are getting frustrated. So, we're checking with the license users for twice in a year.

12. ALWAYS DEFAULT TO HAND TOOL OR SELECT TOOL - USER PREFERENCE

    Make a reliable way for users to set a default for either the "pan" or "text selection" tools. You will see both issues have been raised in online help forums and suggested on this platform.

    I use Acrobat mostly for reading documents. I am so tired of inadvertantly highlighting text or selecting images every time I left click and drag the mouse in an effort to pan because the system defaults to the Select tool rather than the Pan tool.

    YES - I have deselected "Always display the keyboard selection cursor" under Accessibility.

    YES - I have selected "Make Hand tool select text & images" and "Make Hand tool read articles" under General.

    YES - I've read support articles that repeatedly instruct users that the above steps will resolve the issue.

    NO - Taking the above steps does not resolve the issue on my machine.

    YES - I am a paying subscriber.

    NO - I'm probably not a moron. I do have a couple engineering degrees.

    NO - I never take the time to engage large corporate companies.

    YES - I am so very tired of screwing around with this obvious software problem.

    NO - I shouldn't have to fish through the registry to remedy this problem.

    PLEASE FIX this bug!

14. Add "SAVE AS" (floppy disc with pencil) icon top toolbar

    Adobo Pro Contin release V 2023.006.20320, please add/restore "SAVE AS" icon picture with floppy disc & pencil to top toolbar next to normal "SAVE" icon. Receive monthly invoices each month and use "SAVE AS" to duplicate the consistent account # information for the next month and simply tack on the current date at end of file name for unique file name. Please have qualified software developer reincorporate this icon up at the top.

15. FRQ: Display page labels as well as page indices on page indicator

    With the old user interface for Acrobat, the page indicator in the toolbar used to display the current page label in addition to the current page index. This is useful for documents that have multiple sections each with their own page numbering, e.g. a preface with roman numerals i thru xix before the first page numbered 1. It was also useful to be able to enter a page number and be taken to the page with the corresponding label rather than just to the page at that index.

    However, since the launch of the new Acrobat user interface, page labels are no longer displayed on the page indicator. It is still possible to enter page labels and navigate to the corresponding page, but we can no longer see the page labels when we scroll through the document.

    I would prefer if the page indicator was able to display the current page label as well as the current page index, as was the case with the old interface for Acrobat.

    In a multi-monitor setup, Reader remembers which monitor to open on for a specific document, but all new documents keep opening on a non-primary monitor. Reader needs to provide a preference for which monitor to open all documents on by default

18. Cannot use my touch screen to scroll a pdf

    Cannot use my touch screen to scroll a pdf. There used to be a little hand on the tool bar that I could click to make the touch screen scrolling work. However, the latest update to the reader seems to have removed that. I cannot find a way to turn on the touch screen scrolling now. Very annoying. Can you tell me how to fix this either permanently or as I did before by clicking on the little hand?

20. Drawing a straight line but unable to finish/exit the operation.

    Hi.

    I am experiencing a bug where when I try to draw a line and make it either horizantally or vertically aligned using [Shift] button, it makes the operation unable to end. And when I try to navigate, the line just stretches along with the mouse. I can still navigate to other windows, but when I return to the PDF window I am originally working on, it still is in the same condition and the line operation is still running.

    For now, the work around is that I need to "fake close" (close the file by middle mouse click and select "No" when prompted to save). But it is really inconvenient.
