1. Adobe is terrible

   This product, which costs a lot in price, keeps freezing up on me, is very slow, and does not properly work. For all the money you take from people for this software subscription, it has only gotten worse in terms of product quality over the years. I do not work with software this terrible. I will be looking for alternatives because not only does this product not deliver what it's supposed to, it actually undermines productivity. Like, right now, instead of working like I am supposed to, I am spending my time explaining to a billion-dollar company why its product stinks.

3. Bug: Adobe App Info in Windows Credential Manager

   Save App Info anywhere else aside from in the Windows Credential Manager. Overpopulation of Windows Credentials is causing my CFO's Adobe software & Microsoft software to completely fail to load. MS software profiles are also getting corrupted as a result. Since the Microsoft software is critical for daily work, this may force us to stop using Adobe entirely.

4. "web form"

   Web forms and the completed agreements should have the option to delete. They take up space, can have personal information that requires more secure storage, and create redundancy when downloading form field data multiple times.

   It is ridiculous that I cannot get rid of unwanted documents just because they are web forms.

5. New Acrobat Reader Slow Sluggish

   The latest 64bit version of Acrobat Reader is very slow on a larger file (13MB, 2800 pages of primarily text).
   Specifically version 2023.001.20064 64 bit.
   Loading takes at least a minute. Opening the comments panel requires 30sec.

   Moving by clicking a Bookmark is fast after everything loads. I have plenty of memory, 64GB vs 8GB used.

   Testing finds the slowdown occurs after comments have been added. And I mean only 2 comments. Even after the slow load, it requires 18sec to jump between the pages with the comments. In contrast, FoxIt Reader, is functionally instantaneous.

   Acrobat Reader is unusable in this state. I have removed it.

8. Adobe Error 523:523 using OnBase Unity Client

   When using OnBase Unity Client (ECM) to index documents, the application will display PDFs within its internal viewer. This was working properly until release 22.003.2028x in November. After this, the viewer would give the attached error when attempting to display documents. It was not consistent, but was happening at least half the time - especially with PDFs that had fillable fields. The user would have to completely close out of the Unity Client application and start the process over. Sometimes it works for them the 2nd time around and sometimes it doesn't. They would have to repeat this process until the document was successfully indexed.

   Then when the workstations were updated with 22.003.20310 in January the issue let up and almost disappeared, but then reappeared with the February 22.003.20322 release.

   We have removed the enhanced security settings for these users (enable protected mode at startup and enable enhanced security) have been disabled.

   The users are running Adobe Pro on Windows 10, but we've also tried uninstalling Pro and installing Adobe Reader - with no change in the errors being received.

   We tried switching to Edge as the default program for PDFs as well, with no change in the errors.

   If this can't be fixed, we may need to consider using a different PDF program.

   Please advise.

12. [BUG] Some Files Attached To PDF Cannot be Loaded or Saved With Certain Names.

    Bug: PDF Attachments of Certain Names Cannot Be Loaded or Saved.

    Factors: The Bug does not exist in other reader programs. Attachment files of all names are accessible in both Foxit Reader and Mozilla Firefox. That is to say, the error pdf attached works as intended in those programs. Because of this, we doubt this is a symptom of our PDF creation tools. We deduce it is only an issue of Adobe's Acrobat Products.

    Process: The PDFs in question (Attached Error and Working) were created using pdf-lib in JavaScript. The file data was downloaded in a JavaScript Environment and Packaged via pdf-lib's "attach" method. In the attached working pdf, the files were attached with a generic name based on the order received (format: myFile[i].pdf). In the attached error pdf, the name was gathered from a received JSON object, then mapped as a parameter of the "attach" method. Both contain the same file data, with different file names. In both cases, the data integrity was verified by loading the data as the blob came in, prior to attachment. Finally, we passed in the string directly via a string literal, rather than the derived JSON name, with the same results. When accessing from Acrobat, the working pdf opens all attached files as intended. When the error pdf is accessed in Acrobat, attempting to open some (but not all) files will not result in the file opening. Attempting to save those files to another folder will result in an error (image attached).

    Allow MDM for macOS to control the files /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist and /Users/{username}/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist

    We use Kandji to control various Mobile Device Management settings for our client desktop and laptop Macintosh computers. One thing that MDM is supposed to be able to do is control settings in various plist files on macOS. If a special plist needs to be controlled we can create a custom Profile to do so. This profile is saved as a molbileconfig file with the required settings. It looks like Adobe Acrobat is not respecting the Custom Profiles set in MDM. See the attachment “com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.mobileconfig.txt”, (Remove the txt extension to make it a mobileconfig file. Replace the txt extension with plist to be able to open it in Xcode as a property list file.)

    MDM settings are not working for the file located at /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist.
    I need to add the settings manually to get the following to work:
    DC:FeatureLockdown:bUpdater
    DC:FeatureLockdown:bToggleFTE
    DC:FeatureLockdown:bUsageMeasurement

    If I set bUpdater to false this should disable the ability to check for updates.
    If I set bToggleFTE to true this should disable the tour screen.
    If I set bUsageMeasurement to false this should disable the Welcome screen on first run.
    The other settings listed in the mobileconfig should stop the "What's New" screen from showing after the third time the application is launched.

    The bUpdater, bToggleFTE, and bUsageMeasurement settings should be for the file located at /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist.

    The other settings should be for the file located at /Users/{username}/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist

17. Clickable Hyperlinks for E-Sign Templates

    When an E-Sign Template is sent for signing, the signing party is unable to click the hyperlinks in the agreement before signing. These links include items such as the Privacy Policy etc.

    The links are only clickable AFTER the party has signed, which really makes no sense.

18. BUG: Split PDF Output Options - "Same Folder Selected at Start" and "Use bookmark names for file names" is mutually exclusive.

    This appears to be a bug as other people around me using the same software have no issues with these 2 options being mutually exclusive. What setting or why are these mutually exclusive for me? Sounds like a bug as I cannot find any information as to why this would occur.

    Adobe Acrobat Synchronizer consumes enormous memory: it's now at 35.5 GB.

    I know I can kill it in Activity Monitor - but it still shouldn't happen.
