  1. Adobe fails to open files when a file path & name exceed MAX_PATH. Windows no longer has a hard path character limit if the LongPathsEnabled key is set in the registry. See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/fileio/naming-a-file#maximum-path-length-limitation

Modern applications are adopting this new standard with the mentioned file management hooks provided by the OS.

Adobe is falling behind in this regard. Please add proper Long Path support.

  3. We want real smooth scrolling (not just continuous scrolling).

I mean that kind of scroll we get when using a web browser. SMOOTH scrolling! It would also look like dragging text with a "hand tool" in Reader but with a mouse wheel.

Current method makes text jump one or three lines at a time (depending on your mouse settings), which pretty much irritating!

    I appreciate your attention.

  4. How exactly does the new layout improve productivity by changing and moving EVERYTHING, no instead of going to and clicking on exactly what I need when I need it I have to look around, search, or point and pray to see if I get what I want.

This new layout is complete garbage and was busy work by someone to justify their job, it did not improve productivity at all, it hampered it.

  5. I'd like the ability to receive email notifications when we are reaching our limit of purchased Adobe DC licenses or Adobe Sign transactions so we can purchase more. We use Azure Sync to provision licenses to users so we don't login to the Adobe Admin Console on a daily basis and need a way to be alerted via email when we are low on licenses or transactions.

  6. I'd like to re-report a general issue with Adobe Acrobat running on Mac. While viewing simple PDFs (<1MB), without annotations, Adobe Acrobat has 1 to two second delays when scrolling, painfully slow performance, the program is basically unusable.

I'm sure you are aware of this, because with a limited search I've seen multiple posts asking for help with this, most notably:
    https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/acrobat-scrolling-is-incredibly-laggy-and-slow/m-p/10652846
The issues brought up in this post fully summarize my problem -- and BEAUTIFULLY surmises a likely cause of these problems. However, while a recurrent issue, I've seen very little interest from your company in addressing it...

    I…

  7. Currently the default lookup reference for word definitions in Acrobat is dictionary.com, an inadequate resource for a great many word definitions. There should be a setting to change this default to another URL of the user's choice. Some examples, but not exclusively, that are significantly better than the current choice would be merriamwebster.com or oxforddictionaries.com

  8. After install of Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 Release (Classic) Version 2020.005.30362 on a brand new Macbook Pro (14 in., 2021) with Apple M1 Max running Monterey version 12.4 already with Microsoft Office successfully installed and working fine, opening Powerpoint or Word for Mac version 16.63.1 (22071401) in Office Home & Business gives multiple, successive Adobe-related Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime Error '53'. Multiple calls with tech support do not resolve the problem. Following advice at https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/run-time-error-53-and-acrobat-freezing-up-not-responding-quot/m-p/11823639 resolves the MS Word errors, but does not resolve the MS Powerpoint errors.

  9. We need the ability to query a Cloud storage account for a present folder (and the ability to create a new folder) when opening or saving files directly from Adobe Acrobat.

Since it seems Adobe uses the same infrastructure for all cloud storage systems, if this is implemented for one company, I'd imagine it'd be entered for all compatible ones (Box, Dropbox, Onedrive, etc.).

We already have this functionality in the Microsoft Office integrations of these same cloud providers, so using Acrobat significantly slows the process of opening or saving files from the cloud when one has to go through…

  10. If you go into a saved document and change something you cannot save it you have to save it as a completely separate document. i.e. I edit one line to be italicized and hit save and I get a pop up error that states, "The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.

    1) I am the only user
    2) I created the .pdf document yesterday and did NOT make it read-only.

  11. Remove the 'share', 'feedback', 'learn', 'notification' and 'profile' buttons.
these buttons are rarely (possibly never) used by the average pdf user.
even if they are used by some, they should be removable, just like any other tools on the 'customizable' quick access tool bar.
it is very annoying to have 5 big buttons getting priority over the customizable tool bar. I add and remove the buttons i need on the quick access tool bar, and they end up being hidden by 5 big useless buttons.
move these buttons to the help menu, where they belong.

  14. Save. 'Save as'. CMD + S. It doesn't matter how I attempt, I cannot save regular PDFs from inside Acrobat. I have to create an 'optimized PDF' in order to save any of my work inside of Acrobat. I have been loving the functionality of the new Acrobat, but now I can't even save. Very frustrating.

  15. When macs left unattended and Acrobat pro running the application increasing consumes CPU time and memory. Coming in the next morning my machine is extremely slow to respond. This is happening on two mac machines I use.. one Sierra 10.12.6 and one High sierra. Both machine regularly use MS office applications and Saffari and Chrome browsers. Both utilize Mcafee. Acrobat will not close unless being forced to do so.

  16. View>Page Display > Enable scrolling. Make it easy to change the default for this OR even better please make enabled scrolling the default view. Who on this earth doesn't want to enable scrolling? Please tell me what kind of business person that is who likes the pages to keep jerking around as you get too close to the bottom of the screen when enabled scrolling is not enabled. Tell me! Probably seismologists.

  17. I do not like AT ALL the new format. 99.9% of what I do for work is receive pdfs save them to my files and attach them a eDocs to my invoices. There is no simple way to Save As anymore and it tells me I can go back to old version but ALAS there is no way to do that that is visible on the home page that came up with the document. I DONT WANT TO ALTER THE DOCUMENT AND THAT SEEMS TO BE ALL THE CHOICES I JUST WANT TO SAVE AS, WHICH IS NOT A CHOICE.

  18. Rather than re-ordering and re-arranging pdfs within a combined file, I would like to be able to determine the order files are compiled. This can be by file title (alphabetically) or others. Right now when I combine several files into one pdf, they are scrambled out of order and I have to rearrange manually which can be cumbersome for larger compilations.

  19. We have added and assigned 274 Adobe DC Pro users to the VIP Portal. We now need to run a report that provides activation status for each user i.e. if a user has installed Adobe DC pro and activated the license. Is that feature available or can it be added?
