1. Set Default Link Actions (zoom especially)

   I make ADA Accessible documents. Inherit Zoom is a necessary thing.

   When I need to combine multiple pdf files into one document I often create a narrative that includes links to other pages of that document. I back up those links with bookmarks.

   While it's quite easy to change all of the bookmark actions at once to Inherit Zoom, it's not so easy to change the links.

   Currently each link action must be edited individually. And each Zoom is set to custom. There is considerable time taken to adjust each one, especially when I have 50 to 200 links in a document.

   Here are the actions required:

   1. Click Edit PDF
   2. Click Link then click Add or Edit Document Link
   3. Make a rectangle over the words or image or comment you want the link to work over
   4. Select the link action and click next
   5. Go to the page you want the link to go to and Set the link
   6. Right click on the link rectangle
   7. Scroll down and select properties
   8. Click the Action Tab then click Edit
   9. Select Inherit Zoom from the Zoom drop down options
   10. Click OK in the d-box, then click on in the properties d-box
   11. Close the Edit PDF tool
   12. Test Link

   That's a LOT of steps for one link
   And if you have a Return to Narrative link on that page, there's another 12 steps.

   Best option is to set this feature in the Document Properties.
   Change the Initial View tab to include an option like:
   Make all Links (and bookmarks maybe) Zoom to (then list options, INCLUDING Inherit Zoom). Then create this rule. All links (bookmarks too?) use this default unless specifically changed by a Link Action.

   The Set Default Bookmark Zoom Level menu item is now added to the PDF bookmark options. While creating a new bookmark, you can easily use this option to set the default zoom level. By default, the Inherit Zoom option is selected.

   Also, Acrobat now provides an option in the bookmark properties to retain the destination page number when you adjust the zoom level of multiple bookmarks.

   Please update your Acrobat (It should Auto update or you should do Help → Check for updates) and let us know your Feedback.

2. no pdf file was created

   when I combine png files into pdf, it always says"no pdf file was created because acrobat encountered an unidentified error". This problem has appeared since acrobat updated automatically.

3. Copy paste OR duplicate a page in thumbnail view

   Should have an option to enable the user to copy paste or duplicate a page in thumbnail view. For example, I make a blank pg in a pdf file which I should be able to copy-paste/duplicate, as a blank page, in between the desired pages of the pdf.

4. Disable Floating Icon

   Is there a way to disable the floating icon?
   The recent release introduced this feature. I don't find it useful at all, it always in my ways while I was doing the editing. It would be nice to be able to disable this feature.

5. Highlight color

   I need to change highlight colors based on the different significance of the text, but I need to select different colors from the properties menu. It really takes a lot a time, can you make a button to change colors more efficiently on the viewing page?

Color Swatch is introduced to change Annot color easily and can be used for Highlight , Underline , Strikethrough and Caret Type of Annotations. Also find attachment for the glimpse of feature.
   This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. You may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.

6. Make Comments Toolbar Open Automatically/By Default

   I would LOVE it if you folks could make the Comments Tool auto-open and/or by default somehow. I open lots and lots of pages every day and it would be really wonderful if the Comments just opened every time I opened a new doc.

7. Add an option to set the default bookmark properties when combining PDF files.

   When combining multiple PDF files into a single document with bookmarks, I want to be able to set the default bookmark properties. For example, I may want all bookmarks to include the ACTION: Go to a page view, and ZOOM LEVEL: Fit Page. Currently, I have to change the properties of each bookmark separately.

8. Adding Bates Numbering Range to Existing File Names

   As Bates Numbering/Stamping is commonly used in the legal profession and because we typically handle a large number of documents it would be nice if Adobe had the capability to allow you to Add Bates Numbering Ranges to the EXISTING File Names.

   For example, after you click on Add Bates Numbers, you can click on Output Options, and the window pops-up where you can have the option to either keep the original file names OR replace the file names with the starting and ending Bates Number (e.g. 000100-000115.pdf). I want to do both and keep the original file name with the Bates Range in front of it. I don't want to have to manually add in the file name for every file after bates stamping, which if I have a thousand files can be very time consuming.

   For example, if I have the following File names:

   "Emails to Jane Doe (01-13-18)"
   “Medical Reports from John Doe (02-02-18)”
   "Bank Statements from XYZ (02-27-18)"

   I want Adobe to be able to output the following:

   "00001-00115 Emails to Jane Doe"
   "00116-00210 Medical Reports from John Doe (02-02-18)"
   “00211-00236 Bank Statements from XYZ (02-27-18)"

   This would prevent me from having to manually input the file names after selecting replace with Bates Number or vice versa (having to manually input the bates range in front of the file name, if I chose the option to keep original file names). I am surprised Adobe has yet to add this feature as it is widely used in the legal profession and I see that many people in the community forums have asked how to accomplish this, but have not received an answer. This would save us a lot of time and the legal community would rejoice. Thank you.

10. Adobe Acrobat 2017 Pro - Creating and Editing a Portfolio

    Need a new layout for Adobe Portfolio Documents. In Adobe Pro XI there was a grid view layout that was much easier to use and manipulate documents within the portfolio. A new version of a product should have new and better features not less. Why would you not be able to edit the order of documents in a portfolio by dragging and dropping. What you used to be able to accomplish in 2 steps takes about 5.

11. Extracting Pages

    Extracting a page without a numerical "page label" is a waste of time because you have to hit 'Organize' then hit the 'More' button and select 'Page labels' then 'select all' then choose your 'style', delete the prefix to be able to give it a page number in order for the action to work. God forbid you lose you place & cant recall the sheet or sheets you need.
    Please allow us to extract regardless of page labels. I've attached my screen shot of the error you get when trying to extract without a numerical page label.

    If I'm doing this wrong please correct me.

12. Differentiate "Zoom to Page" and "Show Page Only" icons

    The icons for "Zoom to Page Level" and "Show only one page at a time" are nearly identical. What's worse, when I put both of them on my toolbar, Acrobat places them side-by-side, intentionally causing confusion..

    These commands do different things and need to be better differentiated in icon form.

13. Reopen PDFs Launched in previous sessions on Opening Acrobat/Reader

    A Prereference in Acrobat should be there which loads the last session of opened tabs/pdfs on relaunching. Also could provide options to save/load previous sessions.
    This may be Important to the users who work on several pdfs at a time but wish to retain the opened docs in the next Acrobat session.
    Also Session could be managed to retain even after machine restart and then launching acrobat.

15. HIghlighting Text

    For the highlight function, there should be the ability to change colors easily. Right now the process is cumbersome and time-consuming. When I have to be able to access my highlighted test for citations, it would be wonderful to be able to export to word documents with a click.

17. Bug..Mac High Sierra - transparency option no longer available in properties for cells/appearance

    I have been preparing forms and creating text boxes, check boxes etc for some time now.
    Recently, I am unsure if was a recent update or because I have updated to highSierra on my mac, there is no longer a 'transparent' option available.

19. Action does not open from quick tools shortcut

    Action does not open from quick tools shortcut until the "Action Wizard" tool is opened. Previous versions openened the pinned action in the side panel without the need to then also open the "Action Wizard" tool. It makes a mockery of having shortcut of the action in the first place!

20. Font Color should be available for change in the FIll and Sign

    In our Industry all fill and sign portions of a form are required to be completed in Blue, therefore, the fill and sign portion should have the availability to change font colors.
