1. Add Meta Data Fields to organize where documents are saved

   It would really help to have standard Meta Data database such as a vendor name list that can be used when saving files. Especially if the metadata can be used in the file path, and create folders if they do not exist. For example if Vendor ABC is added to the file path and the program does not find him in the invoices folder, it creates the folder and saves the file under that new vendor. If the vendor exists, then it just adds the file. You need a standard database of vendors for that to work. An entity data column would be nice or department etc. so files can be better organized. Basically a table with a number of columns that you can use to standardize the naming and location of documents.

3. Auto create bookmark destination by page number

   I create documents for court that have many pages and require many bookmarks. There should be a way to auto create the page destination for each bookmark.

   I use javascript to create the bookmark and to create the page destination. However, that inserts one line of javascript in set action such as "this.pageNum = 12" which works fine.

   However the NYS courts now will not permit a document to be uploaded with even one line of javascript.

   I do not know about the other states, but NY has this rule.

   An automatic was, maybe with javascript, would be a big plus.

5. Add proper LongPath support

   Adobe fails to open files when a file path & name exceed MAX_PATH. Windows no longer has a hard path character limit if the LongPathsEnabled key is set in the registry. See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/fileio/naming-a-file#maximum-path-length-limitation

   Modern applications are adopting this new standard with the mentioned file management hooks provided by the OS.

   Adobe is falling behind in this regard. Please add proper Long Path support.

7. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC crashes when compressing during preflight

   Adobe Acrobat Pro DC crashes when compressing uncompressed objects during preflight of 2 files.

   On one occasion it said unable to save. An I/O error has occurred.

   Most of the time it crashes without erring.
   I did change the file to a new file name and it still crashed. I got new files from my client thinking they may have been corrupt files and the same thing happens.

   Acrobat DC is up to date vs 2020.013.20074
   Mac Catalina Vs. 10.15.7

   This is only occurring when I preflight to my network drive and not my local machine. I found a workaround to preflight them to my local machine but this is not optimal. The other applications on my machine are not having issues saving to my network drive it seems to only occur during the preflight in Adobe.

9. Better Program...

   Even the system for voting is screwed up! We are not all "computer geeks"! Your program sucks! I pay a small fortune for a program/service that is almost completely unusable. If I could find ANY way to replace it or work without it, I would be happy to pay and even bigger fortune for the satisfaction of putting you idiots out of business. As you can tell, I AM NOT HAPPY with this stupid, confusing, undependable, unreliable P.O.S. computer program. I should not have to leave frustrated and angry every time I attempt to use Adobe or try to edit, sign or create a PDF. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!! I doubt you'll comply, but PLEASE respond. 10. Emailed Receipts

    Automatically email receipts each time the payment processes for the account. It's an inconvenience to have to log in each month to manually download the receipt or manually click "email receipt" to myself.

13. Please bring back page navigation in the ribbon.

    Show current page number in the ribbon or toolbar. Thumbnails are screen hogs and out of order at that. Navigation is difficult and time consuming. The old way was better.

14. Acrobat does not remember the correct last-viewed pages for PDFs at startup

    Windows 10 64-bit, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2020.013.20064 (and Acrobat Pro DC 2019; same bug)

    With multiple documents open in tabs, and the settings to ‘Restore last view’ and ‘Open PDFs from last session’, Acrobat is supposed to open the session exactly as it was closed, with the right last page for every document. Instead, on launch the pages for most documents are incorrect and only one document displays the correct page.

    It saves this setting in HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\RememberedViews\cNoCategoryFiles which has subkeys for every document, ranging from c1 to cN and their subkey cViewDef\ includes the important value ipageViewPageNum, also values such as ipageViewMaxVisPageNum and ipageViewMinVisPageNum.

    Expected result:

    The values should be set correctly and independently of other documents present in HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\RememberedViews\cNoCategoryFiles

    Observed result:

    When closing Acrobat, the values ipageViewMaxVisPageNum and ipageViewMinVisPageNum are set to the correct page, but the value ipageViewPageNum is set wrong, which makes the wrong page display at startup. In fact, that value in question is set arbitrarily to the last actual document you chose to work with. Meaning, if you have 4 documents open, and read the first document only, all 4 will open up to the page of the first document, and each ipageViewPageNum will be identical copies of the value corresponding to that first document.

15. file size

    Hello! I work in the wine industry and we often have to submit files that are under 500kb or 750kb for government records. I use the "reduce file size" option but it takes a lot of guesswork. It would be amazing if there was an option to make the PDF smaller than ____ kb/mb. I know so many in my industry would be grateful. Thank you!!

19. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC asks me to sign in every time I connect through a different network.

    There seems to be an issue with acrobat where I am forced to re-sign in with my adobe account every time I open Acrobat when I am connected through a different wifi network than the last one I logged in through. This issue causes me to lose all my recent activity.

    Please help, it is highly unconventional.

20. Preparing files to compare

    When comparing two PDFs, the application is just stuck on "Preparing files to compare…" for several minutes and does not proceed. No progress is shown on the progress bar, again even after several minutes. This is comparing two small PDFs that are only two pages each. The application appears to go unresponsive after causing the computer fans to rapidly spin up.
