Set Default Font for Edit Tool
Why can we not set a default font in our editing tool. One already seems to be the default, but I can't change it.

When adding comments with a text box, it would be nice to be able to set a default font to use all the time rather then changing it every time I open a new PDF

Adobe Pro V 11 does not have a setting as described in Bilal's solution. That was only available in prior versions.

When I click Edit, it shows the default font size (=12). Sometimes, when adding text, I use a different size font. However, when I add text at some other place, rather than changing the default font size to the different size font I just used, Adobe goes back to the default font size, so I have to change it again. THIS IS ANNOYING AS ****. Adobe should give me the option of changing the default font size!

That has been removed in Acrobat XI. The screen only lets you enable or disable bold, italic etc. Using Acrobat XI Pro in Windows 10. It might still be there in the MAC versions, but gone afte version X

Hi,
You can change the default font by going to Preferences -> Content Editing -> Font Options.
For detailed steps, see https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/default-font-pdf-editing-add-text.html
Let us know if this solves your problem. -

The annoying lack of a 'set default font' feature in Content Editing is costing me hours when marking up shop drawings! If you must have a default font, at least choose a universally acceptable font like Arial or Calibri, instead of Minion Pro. Who ever even heard of this font until they saw it in Adobe Acrobat?

Can you please let us choose what font the program defaults to if it detects a font it does not have when editing a document? My company generates documents in a font I do not have and cannot seem to get, but there is one close enough that it's fine for me to use for editing purposes. Problem is, whenever I edit, I'm automatically defaulted to a different font and have to manually choose the one I want in every text box in every document.
The functionality to default to another font is already there, so please just let us choose what that default should be. -

Please return the option to choose the default font setting. Currently you have to set it for each doc you work on (Format in Text Add)
Default needs to work across all PDF's thou.
I am lost why such feature was being taken away to begin with. -

I don't like Minion default Font. I want to be able to permanently switch it to another font style but I am unable to switch to a new default font.
