Adobe Acrobat Windows 10 Crash
My Acrobat DC is randomly crashing and I don't know why. I have unistalled and reinstalled it twice. I have done EVERYTHING on your webpage about fixing crashes. Nothing helps.

I work at a publishing company and we use acrobat for manuscript and pages markup. Every day acrobat crashes multiple times, often not autosaving my recent work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled on multiple occasions and had the technology team try different fixes on 5 occasions, with no success. I have recently received a new computer and the issue is still occurring.

I have the same problem with Acrobat X Pro it crashes after about 30 seconds. Strange thing is that when i open the program and select edit/preferences and don't change anything and just select okay the program won't crash.

We also had the same behaviour with W10 1709. The adobe support made us add the following registry key :
Disables both updates to the product's web-plugin components as well as all services --> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\cServices]"bUpdater"="0" (REG_DWORD)Since then, we no longer have any problems.

If I use Adobe CC to launch Acrobat, then the menu text is not garbled, and shows "Home" and "Tools" with a blank screen below, then crashes.

Similar problem at my end. Seems to start happening when I try to open some pdf file, for example an email attachment and nothing happens. After that, opening Acrobat shows a window with garbled text at the top. The window stays open for a second or two, then closes.
Usually restarting the computer resolves the issue, so this may mean that some portion of the program stays active or some thing remains in memory. Running WIndows 10 Pro, version 1803 build 17134.765, 64-bit operating system, 16 GB memory.

Same problem here, have had crashes for no apparent reason on several different PCs since forced to upgrade to Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe reader DC. Never had this problem on Acrobat X and older. Program just stops responding closes everything.

Same problem here. The crashes are random and don't seem related to any particular activity on my part, with one possible exception: They do seem to occur most frequently when I try to save a document after inserting another document and then trying to save it to the document from which I inserted.
Example: I am working on Document A. I insert Document B into Document A. I then try to save Document A to Document B.
I think what is happening is that when I insert Document B, Acrobat treats Document B as though I were actually editing it and opens a working temporary file for Document B, which therefore makes it unavailable as a destination document. However, there really is no editing of Document B taking place, so instead of the user getting a message, Acrobat just shuts down.
If I am right, then the error is in the handling by Acrobat of Document B. Since Document B is only being inserted, the temporary working image of Document B should be immediately closed as soon as it has been inserted.
I will be testing this hypothesis further.

Same experience here with Acrobat DC on Windows 10. After the latest Windows update to version 1803. I'm going to have to roll back to get stable again with Acrobat. In the print industry, I use it daily for working on client files. Please help troubleshoot.

l concur with the concensus. Recently purchased a HP w/ Windows 10 and both Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC continues to crash when I'm highlighting items in pdfs. Please provide assistance and/or bug fixes.

Same thing is happening to me. Bought a brand new Lenovo Yoga 920 with Windows 10 (and April 2018 update), downloaded my subscription copy of Acrobat Pro DC, and I am getting spontaneous crashes very often. If it keeps happening I will have to switch to another PDF program. I need this for work. I hope you can come up with a solution.

I downloaded the program to examine during the trial period. I have Acrobat XI installed on my machine currently. I opened up Acrobat DC just to do the tour and within 10 sec or so it fades out (crashes?) to the desktop, with no error message that I can see. I tried to quickly start a tour step, but the same crashing occurs, again after about 10 sec.

In the category of Apps, the program "Adobe Acrobat DC (32 bit) will sometimes stay there. If I don't keep TM open and monitor that presence and I try to open Acrobat, two occurrences of the program launch. Then, while I'm moving pages in a file or merging two files into one (my current project but it's possible that it crashes for other functions), Acrobat crashes.

what is the specific line item in TM that remains??

Monitoring Windows Task Manager, I notice that after closing Acrobat DC the program stays resident in Task Manager for a long time. If I try to launch Acrobat while still resident in TM, the program will either not launch or will crash soon afterward. Don't know if it's a Acrobat or a Win10 problem.

Does it crash if you run Windows in Safe Mode?

Every day... every time I use the product it crashes. Windows 10. No discernable reason. I'm ready to bail on adobe and windows 10 entirely. I pay entirely too much money for this **** to happen. FIX IT.
