Hi Prashant, I think you've described it exactly as I've experienced it. Too busy to take a screenvideo and upload it to you today, but yours is a perfect description. Example: Select a line in a paragraph and a random graphic on the page also gets highlighted. Ditto with trying to select in tables.

Hi Shauna,
From what i understand, you want to highlight probably a word or line but it actually selects a large chunk of data?
it would be better if you can share a small video of your workflow for us to understand. Thanks,
Prashant. -

Highlighter tool is not functioning like it used to. I've been dealing with it for probably 4 months now. I used to be able to highlight a word or line at a time. Now when I click to highlight, it creates these LARGE highlight blobs that are about 1/2 a page high. How can I fix this issue. I ran an update, it didn't fix the problem.

When I try to highlight a line of text, the tool is highlighting large blocks of information. How do I reset it back to the way it used to work when I only want to highlight one word or one line?

The highlighting tool now longer highlight text. Instead it creates a little comments balloon above the text. I can still change the highlight colour, but it doesn't highlight the text now. Is this a permanent change or just a bug that i can't seem to fix. I have tried taking updates to Pro DC, abd the repair installation tool without success. Please explain? Andrew

Old Adobe had highlight tool on top right. Cannot find it now in newest adobe. On some PDF's you can right click to highlight, some not. Any ideas? Thanks

Honestly, the old Properties bar is the way way to change colors. Ctrl/Cmd + E. It's way easier and more flexible than the new Color Picker.
I wrote about it here: https://documentgeek.blogspot.com/2016/11/the-case-for-still-using-deprecated.html

When you highlight a word, right click mouse. If locked box is checked, uncheck it. Then select the color from color pallet of one’s liking and choice. Then lock the selection by checking lock box. I concede yellow color is not like used to be. May be color pallet may help choose a darker color.
