  2. When marking up PDFs, some clients want text to be immediately visible "on the page," i.e., in Callouts and Text Boxes vs. added with the less easy to see Insert Text at Cursor or Replace Text functions. Sometimes the text I need to add is just a single comma or hyphen, but the default bounding box size is much larger, and resizing these by hand is time-consuming. I'd like an option to fit bounding boxes to their contents without having to edit box sizes by hand. (Text Boxes autofit if you click and drag with the Text Box tool selected…

  3. The reliability of the Adobe software has decreased significantly over the past couple years. A number of times, the program has not kept updated changes I've made to documents, which has caused unnecessary re-dos. And very frequently, the software crashes and stops working. This is especially inconvenient when I'm saving changes; these glitches keep any changes made from being saved.

I've kept the software updated and continue to have issues. Help.

  4. We need a way to automatically hide the Comments pane that pops up on the right-hand side of a PDF with comments without asking users to manually change their Adobe preferences.

I create PDF deliverables for a living and there have been situations where a client wants me to embed documents in a PDF via the Comment Tool, but they don't want the Comment pane to open when their employees or customers open the PDF.

I have attached a screenshot of the Adobe Preference window. The preferences outlined in red are the ones that control the Comment pane pop-up. I…

  5. After multi-selecting comments (or even selecting a single comment) and then using the "Export Selected to Data File" menu option, the resulting FDF file contains all comments from the original PDF. I'm running Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on MacOS. I've tried reinstalling. Is this a known bug?

  6. Documents in Landscape mode Underline and strikethrough don't appear properly in document cloud. It works fine with portrait mode.

  8. Unfortunately, I cannot change the thickness of my added underlined or strike-through. The symbol for different thickness in the toolbar is greyed out.
I also would appreciate two different symbols for underlining; one for straight lines, the other for squiggly lines.
I used FoxitReader before and must say that the way to place comments seems to me better solved there. Maybe something similar could be added in Adobe Acrobat Reader?

  10. Please create a feature where you can change settings so you can choose your default for opening and viewing documents. This way you have the option of Landscape or Portrait. Currently, you only have the option of Portrait, then you must edit to Landscape. It causes projects to be cut apart, and you're unable to move pieces from one page to another. This would be the best alternative, especially when working with Excel spreadsheets. Thank you so much for taking the time to look over my suggestion. I hope you find it useful as well.

  11. The Comment Panel was much better in Adobe Acrobat 9, that is the whole reason I didn't want to go to DC, but now I don't have a choice because of security. I think you should be able to move the panel to the bottom like in Adobe Acrobat 9. Also this version, as soon as you click on it, it takes up 2" for one comment, that's just crazy. Also, the filter function doesn't hold, I have in the past in Acrobat 9, selected to show None so only my comments that haven't finished show up. But in this…

  12. Hi Team,

    Greetings !

This request is with respect to E-000596525 (PDF Annotation - Comments Highlighter).

We have a request from the client to provide hightlighter for the comments provided by the user against the document content. We have raised a technical support call and got clarified that the functionality is currently unavailable.

It would be highly appreciable if you could provide us with the new feature.

  13. The filters on the Commenting feature work well to filter by e.g. author, checked status, colour.

What we need is to be able to export just the filtered results.
What happens is that Acrobat ignores the filter, even when choosing 'Export just the selected comments' and exports the entire list to a data file. This is after filtering AND selecting all the comments that have been filtered. Somewhat illogical behaviour.

  14. The measurement tool lacks any ability to change the text font, size, and color for measurement labels, the default is not sufficient especially because it tends to glitch and turn from an Ariel type font to a very spaced out Courier font which is not convenient for measuring small distances, the perimeter and area measure tool should also enable text callouts.

  15. The freeform highlighter tool is accessible in commenting mode and normal view mode, but disappears in full-screen and reverts to a text-only highlighter. For large scanned documents, it would be great if the existing freeform highlighter tool could be used in full-screen mode via the existing Shift-U shortcut.

  16. Please implement a feature where I can adjust which markups appear on top of overlapping markups. In other words, the default is the newest markups are on top but I want to have an option to send a new markup backward so an old markup will be on top. I currently have to cut the old markup and paste in order to make this happen, but this should be something we can choose from a right-click menu.

  17. We need to be able to convert lines and polygon markup tools into a true highlighter rather than a makeshift highlighter. Currently, I have to adjust the opacity and while this serves its purpose, I lose print quality because of it. I use Acrobat daily to markup drawings for Construction and this would be such a big help. I would also be able to highlight Autocad text (which Adobe does not currently do).

    Please implement this! Thanks!

  18. When the comment pane is sorted by date, the date group heading shows one day earlier than the actual date of the comments.
A comment dated "Jun 26" will show under a group heading of "6/25/2020"
A comment dated today (showing a time only, no date) will be grouped under a date heading "9/25/2021" (when the date is actually 9/26/2021).
    Steps:
Create a comment (sticky note or add note to replace text)
    Sort comments by date
Expected: today's comment 5:16 pm grouped under "9/26/2021"
Actual: today's comment 5:16 pm grouped under "9/25/2021"

  19. Adobe can do better with the Markup tool as more people are transitioning to digital. I used to use Bluebeam and mark up drawings for review. I'm using Adobe now and I cannot change the text size inside the Text Callout that I drew. How inconvenience is this?

  20. When Replace Text is selected and a relevant portion of text is highlighted, a comment box doesn't automatically open up. If I choose this icon my aim is to replace the text, so why wouldn't a pop-up open automatically (or at least have an option to turn said feature on in settings/preferences)? Annoyingly, I need to right click and manually open the pop-up. Please fix or explain how I enable this feature.
