Bug? Acrobat doesn't support .ai files in Combine feature on PC but does on MAC.
I'm on MAC and I'm used to seamlessly combining .ai files into a .pdf easily with the Combine feature in Acrobat. Some of my peers would benefit from this greatly also but they are on PC and it appears on PC Acrobat can open and view .ai files but it will not acknowledge .ai files in the Combine feature. This feels like an oversight or bug since it clearly works fine on MAC. Can we please have equal support for this on PC as well? Combine two small pages and create one single page
When I scan two pages and crop them, they are smaller or equal to an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. I want to be able to take the two pages and make them just one single page. There are many times that I have scanned something that had just a couple lines at the top of the second page. I may want to be able to shrink that to fit it all on one page. One Click Sub-Folder Integration in PDF Portfolio
When you combined individual subfolders within a master folder when creating a PDF Portfolio, the previous Acrobat Pro allowed you to do this feature with one click. The current Acrobat Pro DC software requires that you create a portfolio and manually add the individual folders. Please add back the option for the one-click subfolder integration!

Bug: "Combine files" dialog keeps popping up
Steps to reproduce:
1. In Acrobat, click on "Combine files into a single PDF".
2. Choose files to combine and press "Combine files".Environment: macOS 10.13.3, Acrobat Pro DC (2015.006.30417)
Expected result:
- Files are combined into a single PDF, which is shown in open window.
- Nothing else.Observed result:
- Files are combined into a single PDF, which is shown in open window.
- The "Combine Files" box opens again. Even after clicking on "Cancel", the box re-opens.

Append all links in document
Provide the ability to append all the links and view all links in a pdf document without going page by page. Creating PDFs from a web page using multiple levels is not an option for many websites, and appending page by page is ridiculously time consuming.

PDF Thumbnails in PDF Portfolio : Portfolio/ View / Layout
In Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Classic & Acrobat Pro 2017 the PDF icons on the left are quite large in Portfolio / View /Layout . It would be great if PDF Thumbnails could be enabled like in Windows explorer by checking the preference in General . I realise not all file thumbnails for all types of files could easily be created ( example Excel , Word )etc ..but we combine a lot of PDF secured files into a Portfolio & the thumbnail PDF view would really be a great feature in Portfolio/View / Layout

When in Acrobat DC with several open tabs; have the ability to combine the tabs into one pdf.
Would like to be able to select open tabs and combine/save them as one pdf rather than go out to the combine pdf function and drop/select them. Since they are already open and have been updated, now want to combine the tabs and not save the files separately and then use the regular combine function.

Rotate single document before saving/combining multipage pdf
When combining files/multiple pages into single pdf file, some pages maybe oriented horizontal vs vertical. It would be nice to be able to rotate all the pages to the same orientation prior to binding all the files.
Just a thought. This feature maybe in the program already and I just don't see it. I know you can do it from a single page, this is just to skip that step of doing it in one aspect of the program and saving then doing the 2nd combine step. Just a though1 voteHi

All of the competitors have an option to print multiple files and add to single document. Acrobat even allows you to append scans to exiting pdfs. Why is there no option that does not require you to save multiple pdfs and then combine them. Combine Emails and Attachments
I'd love for Adobe to add support for combining and convert email attachments. We use Adobe Acrobat for bulk printing, and it would be wonderful if we could load email messages (.msg) files in the combine files to Adobe box, and then print them.

1. click on File>Create > Combine Files into Single PDF.

It doesn't work at all! PDF maker is not cooperating with Microsoft Office.It worked though in older version of Acrobat

PATH AND FILE NAME INSERT OPTION
I would like to see a feature added to Acrobat that would allow Acrobat to stamp the path (location) and name of the document which was created. I am attaching an example of a document created with a different program in which the feature is highlighted..
It would also be great if that stamp would adjust and change as the document is renamed, moved or received and saved by the receiving party.

How to show CSS gradient background from HTML to PDF using Acrobat?
We want to create a PDF file from local HTML files.
It can show gradient background if we save PDF by using printing function in browser.
However, It doesn't works when created in Acrobat.
We don't want to use printing function to create all PDF files, due to there are many pages waited to be converted.
The gradient background are written in CSS.
Could we have a solution?

Combine Files should sort the file names with numbers numerically not alphabetically
When I use the Combine Files feature with files named with numbers, they are sorted alphabetically rather than numerically.
For example, instead of getting a file sorted:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, etc.
I get this sorting:
1, 10, 11, 12, 2, 20, 21, 22, 3, 30, 31, etc.2 votesHi Michael

I'd like to be able to make a flip book (that turns the page like a magazine)
Title says it really. It's simply that there a lot of 'make your own flip books' softwares out there, but they are not well designed and expensive, when this feels like it is a sensible add on to what one can already do with Adobe PDF pro. It's annoying to have to go elsewhere for pdf expertise, as I feel Adobe should be able to smash this themselves.

When adding a PDF Portfolio to a file list (Combine Files) I get the following informational dialog box,
"File [File name] is a PDF Portfolio that contains multiple files. The files with the PDF Portfolio have been added to the file list." It requires that you click OK, before the files will be added and you can continue.
I wish to disable this dialog box as I am archiving thousands of files a day.

1. Default Order when combining PDF Files
I suppose this is a new idea, because it's not really a bug. Here's the summation of my problem/idea:
I scan files to my email using our copy machine/scanner. I then open and combine these files into single binders using AA Pro DC. To do this, I use the "Create PDF" tool from the tools menu, and then, from the "Create a PDF from any format" menu that appears, I select the "Multiple Files" and "Combine Files" option. When I click on the "NEXT" box, I can then choose to "Add Open Files," which is the option I use most…

You can simply sort them in increasing or decreasing order by switching to List View instead of Thumbnail View while combining the documents in Acrobat.
