  1. I would love to be able to Copy/Paste data from a PDF opened within the Microsoft Teams application, i.e. a user sends me a PDF in a Teams message. I have to download the file and open it up manually.

  3. Please provide an easy 1-click way to completely hide all extrenuous panes when opening any document. This means :

    • No bookmaarks on the right.
    • No tools on the left.

There are a mess of settings all over the place, and comments on previous related issues to multiple steps to take, but all these seem out of date. This should be a single 1-click check box in the main preferences, completely overriding all other settings.

Even better: Acrobat Reader should learn from the fact that I close these panes every single time I open the app (multiple times per day), and…

  4. Reading any kind of report is alphabet soup with acronyms & leveraging text recognition should make it easy to create quick glossaries, aiding in review. Any text that shows three or more capitalized letters in a row trigger a comment bubble that seeks a definition. As you aggregate definitions, a glossary sidebar populates, making real-time review of acronym-heavy documents easier.

  5. Since most common thing people do in this program is to Open files, that "Open" command should be always easy to get to, instead it's hidden within Menu you have to click to get to it

  7. For large documents it is very helpful to track the NAV Pane to your current cursor position in the document. e.g. when you use Find and click on that position, the NAV Pane should show you where you are in the document.
Using this in other word processing SW - very productive feature.

  8. Users should be able to view layers and comments AT THE SAME TIME. The update has layers, comments and such now only in one pane on the right. Users should be able to move those elements around, for instance, to view layers on the left and comments on the right.

  9. Remove "Check out new e-sign tools" hint from the bottom of a side bar.
I am already familiar with this "new and revolutionary" feature...
I don't need to find out about it every time I open Acrobat.

  10. it would be beneficial for some users, myself included, to be able to change the colour of the document's pages we are reading from the default white to whatever background colour works best for our vision. For example, when I'm working in MS Word, I'll often change the page colour to various shades of blue as it helps me to see / read the test easier. If this feature could be added to this product, that would reduce the strain on my eyes when reading many documents using this software.

    Sincerely,

    Jim

  12. Almost every time I open Acrobat, whether on restart or wake-up, the locations of interface items changes. Today, "Recent files" is populated with the contents of my starred folder. Which is great because usually my starred folder is inexplicably empty, Today it's recent files that's empty.

Regularly I'm greeted with "Bytes not Ready" when performing basic commands.

Then I get some messages that are upside down and backwards! What is that?!

Signatures weren't available last week but they're back now!

As many others have suggested about going back to the old interface - Mine does that about every 8th time…

  13. The Tool Bar cannot be easily moved or hidden.
On some documents this means that information is covered by the Tool Bar and there is no way to move the document to show it.
In the attached example, the left column of the table is hidden, and there is no horizontal scroll bar to move the document across.

  14. Windows 11 allows to use window snapping layouts to maximize the use of screen, it can be done literraly with any app, but Acrobat does not support window snapping layouts. It is a very useful feature to quickly arrange windows in a way to maximize productivity for example when comparing a PDF versus another PDF or another text in another document

  16. The Chinese version of the export function has a mapping error in the sub-options. "Export as PDF" corresponds to the sub-option of "Save As Other," while "Save As Other" corresponds to the sub-option of "Export as PDF."

    中文版的匯出功能子選項對應錯誤,「匯出成PDF」對應到「儲存為其他」的子選項,「儲存為其他」對應到「匯出成PDF」的子選項。

  17. Make a reliable way for users to set a default for either the "pan" or "text selection" tools. You will see both issues have been raised in online help forums and suggested on this platform.

I use Acrobat mostly for reading documents. I am so tired of inadvertantly highlighting text or selecting images every time I left click and drag the mouse in an effort to pan because the system defaults to the Select tool rather than the Pan tool.

YES - I have deselected "Always display the keyboard selection cursor" under Accessibility.

    YES - I have selected "Make Hand…

  18. Clicking on any links in any PDF causes Adobe Acrobat Reader to hang and crash

    1. Open any PDF document that contains a hyperlink in Adobe Acrobat Reader
    2. Windows 11 (Continuous Release I Version 2023.006.20320 I 64-bit)
    3. I expected to open the link in my default browser in Windows 11
    4. The application hangs (spinning mouse cursor) and becomes unresponsive. After 10 seconds of this, I have to close Adobe Reader and try again. But it does that again. Unable to open any link whatsoever. I just copy the link by highlighting it in the PDF and paste in the browser. Much…
