  3. Once again, even though with each update we users always come here to report that the option to keep the tool panel closed is not working, in the last update 2023.006.20320 it stopped working properly again. Is it so difficult to make an interface option work as the user wants? Why is there a 'Remember current state of Tools Pane' option if it is simply ignored and the panel continues to appear every time we open the application?

  4. In Preferences, I have the "Always show document page size" box checked. The page size information is no longer displayed at all. If I uncheck the above mentioned checkbox in the preferences, the document size appears normally when the curser is hovered in the lower left area of the window.

  5. The new user interface constantly freezes for several seconds every few seconds on my machine. While it's frozen, nothing works. I just have to wait a few seconds for it to become unfrozen. Then a second or two later, it freezes again. Sometimes I'm able to go a few seconds without it freezing -- to get work done. However, it doesn't last long.

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro v23.003.20284 on Windows 11 Pro v.10.0.22621 with a Dell XPS 17 9700. I have Display Fusion installed, so there could be some conflict there. I don't have this issue with any other…

  6. The new update is terrible for adding text fields to documents. When add text is selected, the edit mode is still on which greatly impedes functionality. It takes me 10x as long to add text to a document now, I want the old Adobe back.

  7. The +/create button on the Ribbon at the top of the page needs to have toggle to return the old + icon. When dragging a PDF from one screen to another the box get's in the way off the ribbon when trying to double click and expanding to the screen. There is a pop up that makes it hard to click on the ribbon again. I used to be able to drag and double click straight away to expand the program to fit the screen. Just an annoying change that didn't really need to happen.

  8. have a feature to close 'all tools' , 'edit' , 'convert' , 'E-sign' on second click if it is already active.

it is a hassle to open the pane by clicking one button and closing using another (the X button)

this works in the right side buttons for comments , bookmarks and pages.

  9. Feature Request: If there could be an extension setting added or some kind of browser variable to save the state of the extension with what the previous toggled mode or default mode was for Select/Pan tool for future tabs.

Use Case: We have several employees who utilize Adobe Acrobat extension because they prefer the Adobe user interface in the Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome browser instead of having to open the standalone Acrobat app unless the certain functionality is needed. They regularly use the Pan tool over the Select tool and with the icons on the same menu slot it…

  10. I use up and down arrows to scroll through PDF files. (I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 2024.002.20759 64 bit on windows). Empirically there appear to be two modes for this. In one mode, there is no blinking cursor and using the arrow keys is similar to using the scroll bar. However, if I click in the text pane, then there is a blinking cursor, and the arrow keys manipulate the position of that cursor. In this mode, the arrow keys will hop over tables that are inlined within the text; when I reach the bottom of the page,…

  11. While using Adobe Acrobat, the user interface unexpectedly changes, adopting the appearance of Windows Vista's style. This issue persists even after uninstalling and reinstalling the application.

    Steps to Reproduce:

    Open Adobe Acrobat.
Navigate through various app functions (e.g., opening a PDF, using editing tools, etc.).
open file explorer the user interface unexpectedly changes.

  12. Bring back the full file name in one of the top toolbars. Knowing the file name at a glance is extremely important, especially when working within a team and with multiple versions. With the latest version of Acrobat, I can no longer tell which file I'm working on even when I only have a single file open. The tabs don't show enough of the file name to give me that information.

  13. Please dock the toolbar to the side at all times. I do like the new toolbar, but it blocks text on the PDFs, meaning I have to take the time to pan and zoom and adjust just to read what it is blocking, it's just unnecessary. Just have it docked always. Also, I will say I'm not the biggest fan of how the thumbnails are shown, but that's a different and much less important issue. The new "floating" toolbar (that you cannot move) obstructs the documents and should just be docked to the side so you can see an unobstructed…

  15. I've updated from 32 to 64 bits Adobe acrobat Pro and the user interface experience is terrible:
    * I don't find anywhere the add textbox.
    * I don't see the number of pages nor the present page number
    * I cannot add a button to take snapshots and to take an snapshot I have to go to the text / tool search. I cannot find the option in the menus.

I miss a lot the 32 bits user interface. I loose a lot of time looking for commands that where easy to find in the 32 bits version.

  16. In the "new acrobat" interface, it is now very tedious to add annotations. It is two more clicks than in the old Acrobat (multiply that with thousands of annotations and you see the problem).

Please add the following functionality (available in "old acrobat"):

    • When you have selected some text, and start typing, it will add the "replace text" annotation.
    • When you place the text marker in the text, and start typing, it will add the "insert text" annotation.

    Also:
    * When you select some text, you get a little contextual toolbar pop-up. Please add a button for the "replace text"…

  17. It would be useful to see the zoom % without having to click on the 'Zoom In' or 'Zoom Out' buttons on the side panel. Also, when you click on the buttons, the zoom % changes and you cannot see what it was previously set to. I would like to see a 'Zoom %' button showing the current %.

  19. I understand engineers need to make a living, and therefore must come up with new and adventurous ways to "optimize" content. With the 23.001.20177 release of Pro tools are now delegated to one visible and one hidden list in the left sidebar. PDF standards are near the bottom of the hidden list. I use this all the time, so now I must go through multiple points and clicks to perform a task that was one click before. Either go back to the previous configuration or allow the toolbar to be customized. (I saw "solved" on an old previous thread on…
