2. Reading aloud

   As a proofreader, I like to use the read-aloud feature. Acrobat's, however, is now unusable. It crashes on my Mac. I cannot read paragraph by paragraph. If I pause to insert a comment, it restarts reading from the top of the page. If there are columns, pullquotes, figures or tables, sometimes it reads across the width of the page instead of vertically. It's just a mess.

   I used to be able to use my Mac's built in read-aloud feature, which allows me to select text to read out loud. That no longer works in Acrobat, although it does in all other apps. (Fwiw I'm running OS 13, and I have the 2023 continuous updated version of Acrobat.)

3. Ligands in search

   Searches on words such as 'differentiation' fail in documents where the double f has been formatted as a ligand (the two ff's joined as one symbol). This has been known for thirty years and yet it still happens, it's ridiculous that such a simple feature of text should be able to disable such an important function and advantage of using PDFs to communicate information.
   And by the way the hoops you made me jump through to log in, even though I was using correct email and password were just ridiculous -- I simply won't waste my time trying to get to you to improve in future and if I had any say in my company's IT choice I wouldn't use Adobe any more

4. Turn system back to Windows 10 version

   Allow drag and drop of pdf files from a file to an email in Outlook. It worked previously until I went from Windows 10 and Office 365 to Windows 11 and Office 365.

5. Search for contains the term being searched for

   I am looking for the ability to search for a term where the term is "contained" and Acrobat will highlight all of these occurrences.

   For example, I wanted to search for the term "scenario" and highlight all occurrences of it whether it is found as "scenario", "scenarios", or other variation. Unfortunately, I could not find any option that allowed for this. All I got was a teaser when typing the search term where it showed me that it could find the term as "scenario" (19 of them) or "scenarios" (just one) but would not for a combined result where it would highlight all 20. This would be extremely useful. I looked at the advanced search and while it show all 20 found in the results, the term is not highlighted in the document which is annoying.

   Is there a way to have the basic search do "contains" searching so the search term is highlighted throughout the document?

6. Control/Command + S

   When I command/control+s to save a PDF from the reader on the Google Chrome extension, it does not save the PDF. So I have to manually click the download button and it takes a lot of my time, as I have to use Acrobat for work every day.

10. Fix it!

    I've been using Acrobat for 25 years and the current version is absolute junk, totally unworkable.
    It can't even scroll a pdf.
    Wheel of death constantly.
    Highlighing and comments take forever.
    How can you release and charge for such junk?

12. Adobe Admin Console: Add an option to Resend User welcome email or Setup E-Signature email.

    Add ability for Adobe Admins to resend account setup emails to the user, or add something on the creative cloud login homepage that alerts users who have not setup their e-signature services.
    I've had several users who had issues with sending documents for e-signature and Adobe support tells me it is because the users hadn't setup their e-signature services by clicking on an Adobe welcome email. The welcome email never came though so there was no opportunity to set it up. This welcome email was not blocked however, it was just because the user's email wasnt synced to our spam filters yet, so the mail was lost and could not be recovered anywhere. This is why it would be helpful to have somewhere that would allow us to setup their esignature or to resend this welcome email. Otherwise I was told we have to remove and add the license to the user again and I would prefer to avoid this.

13. Enable Adobe Pro 2020 perpetual to automatically select PDF icon for imbedded PDF documents in Microsoft Word

    It would be helpful to have Adobe Pro 2020 default to the PDF icon when inserting a PDF as an object and then displaying as an icon in Microsoft Word.

    It is possible to search for the icon and set it manually but it will always default back to C:\Windows\System32\ole32.dll, making the user have to manually set the icon every time.

15. new Acrobat crashing if 3rd party plug-in installed (windows)

    If "New Acrobat" is enabled, opening a document crashes Acrobat if I have a 3rd party control loaded. I can either remove the plug-in or disable the new look and then it works fine.

    As soon as I opened the third PDF file, which opens as a third tab in Acrobat, it freezes.
    I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but it does not resolve the issue.

20. Document properties has incorrect fallback logic for author and keywords properties

    Document properties can be pulled from xmp metadata and doc info object.
    If xmp metadata's MetadataDate is more recent than DocInfo ModDate we prioritize displaying xmp Metadata properties.

    However, when specific xmp properties are not specified we expect document properties tab to fallback to doc Info properties.

    This occurs for all properties except author and keywords. This is a REGRESSION as my March version of Adobe acrobat correctly fell back to using docInfo properties for author, keywords and all other properties when those xmp properties were left empty (when xmp properties were prioritized due to its more recent Metadata date)
