  3. Video not working on Acrobat DC

    Tools for Rich Media work fine for development when we add a video. It fails when we try to view the video added on Acrobat DC for Windows.

    Acrobat Reader can play the video fine on both the PC and Mac

    Acrobat DC Pro on the Mac version # 2021.005.20048 can create and play the video correctly.

    Acrobat DC Pro on Windows can create the PDF with Rich Media tools but it can not play the video. It may crash or it may do nothing. No video can be seen. I tried it both playing in the document or in…

  4. Cannot copy some Japanese characters

    Copying some Japanese characters with Acrobat Pro DC and Reader for Mac (2021.005.20048) on Big Sur 11.4 does not work, while it is OK with Reader for Windows (2021.005.20048).

  5. Stop using Internet Explorer for application logins, PLEASE !

    By way of background, we have investment managers that protect their Acrobat PDF files with remote sign-in via a third party portal (Intralinks).

    This used to be available until security settings via GP where set to block IE due to security issues.

    My complaint is no different to others and it is very poor of Adobe to not have created a solution when Microsoft stated that IE was coming to end of life on June 15 2022. Leaving a fix to this issue so close to this date is very poor.

  17. Need to (1) unsynchronise "compare report" (2) split old and new file in separate monitors

    Classic Version of Acrobat Pro DC able to unsynchronise, split of old and new file in separate monitor screens and also able to edit/delete/add comments in "Compare report". New version of Acrobat DC unable to do all three. Have approached Adobe expert and Expert confirmed all three does not exist in new version.

  18. Fails to parse Unicode (unlike eg Preview.app and Chrome PDF viewer)

    For example, Acrobat can neither copy/paste nor search for any of the following characters:

    Ψ (psi), Φ (phi), † (dagger)

    For example in this document (also attached to this post for convenience): https://arxiv.org/pdf/2102.12560.pdf?download

    I'm guessing it's all Unicode characters? But I haven't tested that thoroughly enough to know if that's precisely right. Regardless, this issue arises daily for me (mostly because of the Greek letters).

    I only tested 3 other PDF readers, but none of them have this limitation: macOS's Preview.app, Chrome's PDF viewer, Safari's PDF viewer

    It would help me a ton if Acrobat let us copy/paste and search…

  19. Autosync

    I am not quite sure why, when I save documents on my phone, they do not autosync to the online applications and/or applications downloaded to my desktop/laptop (or any combination of those, like if I save on my laptop why isn't it on the app on my phone).

  20. Bad interaction with Adobe Community Professional

    I would like someone at Adobe to review the interaction linked below and take whatever action is necessary. I posted a sincere, respectful question, and I got a disrespectful, passive-aggressive response from a so-called Adobe Community Professional. When I called him on it, he replied, "I don't speak for Adobe." I would suggest that Adobe should make sure that's true. He certainly is not engaged in creating a helpful "community."
