“Show comments pane when a PDF with comments is opened” function doesn't work
This problem was confirmed in Acrobat Pro 2024.001.20604 64-bit for Windows 10 Pro (22H2).
I found a bug that the comment pane is not displayed automatically even with the following settings.
Preferences > Commenting > “Show comments pane when a PDF with comments is opened” is checked
The conditions under which this fault occurs are:
For PDF files with comments on page 51 or laterHowever, if a PDF has at least one comment before page 50, the comments pane is automatically displayed.

New design is unworkable on small screens.
What happened to Acrobat? A perfectly good UI scrapped for a bulky, screen hogging, unfriendly experience. Did everyone lose their minds during the pandemic? It sure feels like it. I know Adobe likes to make customers re-learn all it's software with every new version but this is exceptional. Very rude. Not happy.

Quick tool bar
New floating quick toolbar to be stacked in the new acrobat experience
the new floating bar covers the document areas and it is very annoying. User should be given the option to be able to stack the bar up down right or left.15 votes -
no room at top to grab and drag window
There is no room at the top to grab and drag the window. I have to go all the way to the left to click an area so I can drag the screen. I like to have two windows beside each other on the screen to compare and reference art in Acrobat. There's barely enough room at the top and if I click, I risk closing a tab. This was not an issue with the old version. Also, the X (for close) should be on the left of the tab. I rarely "star" files and to close a tab, I'm…

Stop playing around with new layouts and menus!!!
Is working at Adobe really that boring that your developers change menus and layouts ongoing, just for fun, forgetting / letting out functions?
Maybe the last step for us to go for an alternative with the whole company.
Maybe your developers should go for a training reg. does and donts reg. user interfaces,.14 votes -
Seriously, ******** Adobe, stop changing stuff.
Put the **** UI back the way it was. I want my buttons back in the **** menu bar, not some floating pallet.

Acrobat Recent Files list does not show Recent Files from Dropbox
After I open a PDF in Acrobat Pro (most updated version) from Dropbox in the Finder, then close the file, it does not appear in my Recent Files list. If I open a PDF from my local machine it does appear, but I do all of my work in my Dropbox folder. A recent files list that does not show recent files is not useful at all.
I tried adding Dropbox to the Other file storage list in the sidebar, but that just shows me the root of my Dropbox folder, not the recent files.

Adobe Acrobat DC is not responding for several seconds as launched on a file
I'm really confused: every time I open a file Adobe Acrobat DC freezes for several seconds, as if it is trying to connect to the network before it can continue. This wastes a lot of time every time because it ends up freezing for 10 seconds or more. This situation is unacceptable. I bought the original product instead of using compatible shareware just to have the highest quality. I expect that when I upload a file, it will be available immediately.

39 MUST NEEDED FIXES & TWEAKS IN ALL AREAS TO SPEED UP PDF CREATION.
Too much time is wasted by doing the simple little things all around Acrobat Reader and I want to address as many of the concerns as I can in one post. Turns out I can fit everything
1) Ability to lock anything on the page so it never gets moved unintentionally. To unlock it you could click a padlock in the corner, if it's right on top of another if you highlight the padlock for 3 seconds a small popup could show vertically what you have with a solid background with the padlock so you can see clearly what you…

Tools bar should be completely customizable
I want to remove some of the tool or change their order but the «default» tools cannot be change. For example, for me I never use the signature tool so it is annoying to always have this tool in my bar.
I also agree with other comments I saw that the tool bar should not overlap the content of the PDf.

"New UI Is Great" - no one
Please stop tinkering with the UI. I know UI/UX designers need SOMETHING to do, but really?

legacy acrobat experience was 1,000x better
STOP REMOVING FUNCTIONALITY!!! I just want too use the legacy version of every app...the new updates are useless, controlling of my user experience to the extreme, buttons are obnoxious and harder to use, and, most importantly, I CANNOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING ANYMORE! The download button has zero functionality. Nothing opens, nothing downloads. I DO NOT WANT A CLOUD BASED EXPERIENCE! I PAY FOR THE APP TO BE ON MY HARD DRIVE, I WANT A FULL-FEATURED, UNDER-MY-CONTROL, ON-MY-HARD-DRIVE EXPERIENCE!!! This used to be the normal state of affairs. I now have to fill out a form in the could-based chrome window of…

Adobe, you've outdone yourself. Acrobat is now the biggest steaming pile of garbage you've ever come up with
Not only is the website I'm physically on garbage, but whatever minion at Adobe thought that mirroring the interface in Adobe Acrobat was a good idea doesn't have half of their brain in their skull. A new intuitive design? When the majority of people who've been using your product for years now can't do half of the tasks it's taken them to do in a half hour now takes 2 hours and a number of crashes, can't really say this is an improvement. Quick tools? I can't remove the ones that are in the toolbar, and there's room for about…

Revert to previous edition - this is sluggish & cumbersome and constitutes a regressive step rather than enhancement - bloatware !

Don't break menu keyboard sequences from old Acrobat
Modern Acrobat breaks keyboard sequences we're accustomed to use to navigate menus; for example, alt + V, P,P for double page view. There's not an apparent way to access this or other non-shortcutted functions from the keyboard now. (I do like the leaner view of new acrobat, but please improve keyboard accessibility.)

User interface change unnecessary and too drastic.
Why in the world did you have to change user interface so drastically? Icons moved left to right, top to bottom, etc. Who needs that? What is the purpose other than self-serving some psychopathic front-end software engineer? You seem to desire losing your loyal users - now I need to spend hours trying to figure out what is where and will be much less productive for the coming weeks. Shame on you!

Icon taking valuable space
Remove all icons, share, feedback, tutorials, notifications and profile and settings on one side on the other Remove HOME - TOOLS and DOCUMENT.
who in the H-ell was this idea, a person with a 2 mile monitor?
if you leave Home-Tools and Document, then remove the hidden section on the right side, this has the same as those 3 options.
here at work honestly, I hate to work with acrobat, at home I love working with Kofax.
if you think you are the best, no, you are not. Acrobat was a lovely, professional program, now I hate it so much.1 vote -
Portfolio
Liebes Adobe-Team,
Dear Adobe Team,
I would like to suggest a feature enhancement for handling PDF portfolios. Currently, it is only possible to navigate into the folder structure of a portfolio, but there is no…

Re-separate the title bar and tab bar
In the latest update to Adobe Reader, the title bar has been merged with the tab bar. This means that when I have x number of documents open, filling the tab/title bar with tabs, it becomes very difficult to move the whole app window using the drag-and-drop with the mouse, since there is basically no area to click to grab the app window. Instead, you end up dragging one of the tabs out of the main window to open it in a new separate main window.
Being able to grab the title bar for moving the window is an essential…
