  1. When a new version of a MacOS is released, Adobe applications are not yet compatible with this new version of MacOS.

In my case I updated my MacBook with MacOS SONOMA and I have issues to create and print PDFs.

Generally, Adobe developers are still in the testing phase to make applications compatible. So, it is generally advisable to wait a few weeks before upgrading to a new version of an OS to avoid this type of problem.

A preventive pop-up alert message should be sent to all Adobe Acrobat users as soon as a new OS is about to…

  2. As per the title - when printing a PDF using the Adobe PDF Function, it doesn't actually resize the page, meaning when I want to use it in an app that doesn't support resizing/scaling, it's basically useless? Why else would I want to take a PDF and "print" another PDF from it if not changing the actual file itself?

For example, I want to be able to resize a bigger PDF down to A4 size. The selections are all there in page setup - it just doesn't actually do any of it though.

  4. Adobe used to close after quick print. In the latest version there is a bug that keeps Acrobat open. This is nuisance when printing lots of documents.

  5. For some reason, certain large format files get stuck in flattening mode and in some cases cause Adobe to crash. Either way, I am completely unable to print these PDFs using a large format plotter. I've had to download a different product just to print certain large format files. This never used to happen before. What's wrong?

  6. Received non-electronically signed document, but could not print document with signature (it does not show on the printout); technician directed me to open document in Reader in order to print the image with the signature. If I normally work in Adobe Acrobat Pro and I open all my documents with it, should I be able to print my documents from the same program? Would love to not have to think about this every time I want to print something that was signed separately.

  12. When I attempt to print a document from many other applications which have print capability, it forces me to convert the document to a PDF format first before I can print it, and it also forces me to save the file first. I don't see any way to disable this so I can print directly from the application. It would be very helpful if I could print directly from the application. If converting the document to PDF format first could be made optional, that would be very helpful.

  13. The Print Dialog no longer allows you to go to the system dialogue for print or set up features unique to a printer. For example, we need to occasionally print shipping labels to stickers. Instead of using the casette of plain paper, we load a single sticker page into the rear slot and tell the printer paper source to go there. We cannot do that as of 23.003.

  16. When converting certain outlined PDFs to PDF/X using the Preflight tool, in the resulting PDF many characters are missing (already on screen, before printing). This makes the Preflight tool unusable.

    1. Open cmyk-14-input.pdf
    2. Use print production -> Preflight -> PDF/X -> Convert to PDF/X-4 (Coated FOGRA39) or any other of the PDF/X profiles or use the "Standards" tab with "Apply corrections" checkbox enabled.
    3. The resulting PDF is completely destroyed (see cmyk-14-output_audit.pdf)

Environment: Windows 10, Adobe Acrobat 23.1.20174.0
Expected result: An output visually similar to the input cmyk-14-input.pdf
Observed result: A garbled output like cmyk-14-output_audit.pdf

    Some observations:
    * This does only happen…

  17. Do you offer a way to combine a word document when going to print to pdf from the print driver to combine to a PDF file already saved instead of it overwriting the file but it combines it with the PDF from within that interface?
When attempting to do this it just prompts me to overwrite the PDF instead of combining it.

We have this option in the docuPrinter printer, not with Adobe PDF printer.

Please check the document attached for more details or reach out to the user at

  18. After an Adobe update, cannot print certain PowerPoint files to PDF. Notepad captures "Meiryo-Bold not found, using Courier", but print process never completes. Need help/support to resolve this issue, again, was able to print same file prior to update.

  19. We often will use Print to add pages to a PDF. The PDF is open in Adobe, they can use the Adobe Printer Driver to print a word document at the end of an open PDF it's an easy way to combine multiple documents. In Kofax you could Print - a dialogue box opens asking do you want to add at end, beginning, at cursor location or create a new PDF. Very helpful to our users.

  20. MAC OS 13.2.1 (22D68)

I have an editable pdf (attached) which can be opened and filled in Adobe Reader, but when I try to print to PDF, it's not working. I added a fake printer by following the instructions in the link below and was able to reach the system dialog for printing, but when I try to save the PDF, Adobe gives an error.
