  5. I was trying to use the Compare Files tool with two PDFs, but when I clicked "Compare" I was prompted with this error "Expected a dict object." (See CleanShot 2020-09-17 at 16.16.02) Afterward the Acrobat application ceased to function normally and I had to restart. After attempting to open one of the files, it became clear that the PDF was damaged in some way. I'm not able to attach the damaged PDF here, but I'm sure it's easy to find one to reproduce the error.

A more helpful error message in the Compare Files tool would be one that…

  6. At the moment it seems that the "Prompt when closing multiple tabs" setting ONLY applies to the action of closing a a window using the X button.

It would be much less frustrating when you accidentally hit CTRL+Q (when trying ti actually hit CTRL+W) if Adobe at least gave you a prompt before closing everything.

  8. When DC Pro is set to single page display (scrolling is easier/more precise) ctrl+a only selects the current page

Adobe say this is not a bug, but I believe it is because ctrl+a should select all, not just the page being viewed

As this basic functionality is altered by a simple setting it is a bug

So they suggested making a feature request

Please make DC Pro select all (not just the current page) when the select all shortcut is used while in single page mode

  10. Steps to reproduce:
    1. Cmd+F to search for something.
    2. Leave search box open.
    3. Scroll PDF (with continuous scrolling).
    4. Search box flickers, scrolling is slow and very jittery.

  12. The default unit setting for a fresh installation or a new updated version of Acrobat is always on Inches. even though my system is set to metric and I'm in Europe.

It would be great if Acrobat would choose a default unit that fits the system settings or regional standard.

  14. At the bottom of the tools panel information is located about my adobe plan.
The issue with this information area is, that it is animated. When opening Acrobat, this area is fist empty, then it pops up information about adobe cloud and then changes to information about my plan.

This is the only part of the GUI that's "animated". This is very distracing, as a GUI should - without user input - only be "animated" if there is something important going on.
For daily work (which might include opening and closing acrobat a lot) the information presented there is not…

  16. Make feedback simple. Like it used to be for software. Just click on a feedback button in the application and type your feedback. This web based, second party system is absurd.

  17. The "Recommended Tools For You" section at the top of the Acrobat DC home screen may be of good use for rank beginners, but for those of us who use the program every day, for specific purposes, would be better served by the top portion of the home screen having our most frequently used tools instead. I use two tools every day, but only one is accessible in the "Recommended tools" section, and only if I have the Acrobat window widened to the width of the screen. Go ahead and populate the area with your suggestions for newbies, but let…

  18. Reverting the menu settings for the TOOLS to the users settings after an update.

-should be done as part of each update.
-put as an obvious option when exiting any setup of tools in the menu system to backup the registry somewhere as i have just now been advised of. really not a good option.

want a reason for this, arrange for more feedback with me.

  19. I use the Dark Theme for accessibility because of light sensitivity.

When using Dark Theme, many of the Navigation Panes (including Bookmarks, Content, Order, Tags, and probably others) display black text on a dark grey background, instead of properly switching to light colored text. I think there are other parts of the UI that have this same problem, but I can't enumerate all of them.

The lack of contrast makes these parts of the UI effectively unusable in Dark Theme. Using low screen brightness (again, because of light sensitivity) exacerbates the issue. The bug is very easy to reproduce because…

  20. Hi

With the update, we got find window as black.
Its such a poor design as the black window always come in the way of screen capture and while printing, printer uses so much ink.

Request to make the find window light colour, it will also help our eyes!
