  1. There are so many shortcomings and problems with the new 2023 GUI interface. Here are just a few:

    1. Swapping left and right-hand panels for no reason. This does not improve anything for users. It just forces users to change everything about how they work in Acrobat every workday.

    2. Functions are indicated by random icons. In the 90s, we learned that icons in software and websites don't work across different populations. Users have a difficult time figuring out what the heck they mean. Give text labels.

    3. The left panel is permanently positioned on the screen and obscures part of the document…

  2. Today's update is horrible -- it's a big, ugly mess. I can't find anything, the icons are tiny and all of my settings are gone. Please change it back and stop resetting settings with each update.

Users -- go to File and then down to "Turn off New Adobe" to get rid of the new, horrible layout

  3. New layout for Adobe is horrible!
Why did Adobe change something that wasn't broken?
All of the icons/buttons used to be along the top ribbon of the screen and now there's some on the left, some on the right and some on the top. And now I can't even find some (for example insert text box and take a snapshot) that I use constantly.
I had everything customized as I use Adobe constantly in my job and now this is causing me a lot of unnecessary stress.
Adobe should offer their customers the option of reverting back to the old…

  4. I HATE the new layout of the Acrobat PRO, it is the most frustrating layout. I have been using Acrobat for YEARS and everytime there is an update it gets worse and worse. There is nothing intuitive about the layout of the tools or that you have icons with no words to express what they stand for. I liked having the menu bar across the top. Please at least give us an option of how to go back to the old style! My workflow is constantly interrupted to have to figure things out!

  5. My idea is to bring back the old function interface.

The new user interface is the most inconvenient, inexplicable, poorly organized user interface I have experienced with any Adobe product.

In the future, interfaces should be tested with real live users and not code writers.

I wish there were a way to use a "legacy" interface.

  6. hi,

i recently had a forced update on adobe acrobat 23.008.20470. and i am extremely unhappy with the user interface changes. driving me nuts. put that **** back the way it was. now i have a bar thats taking up a large portion of the right side of my screen all the time. i can't put the buttons i want along the top only. i'm having difficulty getting my text format options to save. i double click on a text to move it and the text just highlights, it doesn't bring up the move cross. i cant even select the…

  7. I HATE the new interface. Please return it. It is not space friendly nor user friendly on my end. I use Adobe quite a bit and this is costing me time and efficiency.

  8. Absolutely HATE the new interface. Hate it so much so I am taking valuable time out of my day to come here and make this post. Be interesting to see if anyone with Adobe even looks at these posts.

First, I struggle to see anyway, so making TINY LITTLE ICONS MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR!!!

I have to hover over said icons to see what they are even for then strain to see what the pop up says.

I need to be able to advance pages, zoom, etc from THE TOP OF THE DOCUMENT…

  13. Just opened a PDF file that I had worked on yesterday, and now all the menus are set out differently. How can I revert back to old display?

I want Adobe to look the same as it did yesterday. Confusion causes loss of productivity.

  14. The new UI that was forced upon us is not the most efficient layout for everyone. Therefore, we need the ability to be able to customize access to what tools we use most often. Most of the ones I currently use take multiple clicks to get to and through this, costs me time and frustration. It seems from reading other comments that I am not alone in this viewpoint.

  15. The new interface makes Acrobat unusable for me. It is counter-intuitive, not intuitive. I can't find the tools I use. I don't even know if they exist anymore. I use it all day for commenting on documents and I can't find the tools such as text callout, circle, arrow, or line. This is only one of many problems. Thankfully you allowed me to revert to the old design. Without the old interface availability, I would need to abandon Adobe Acrobat as a viable product.
If Acrobat was a car the new interface would be equivalent to removing the steering wheel…

  18. I almost got a heart attack. I was working on a pdf, then I opened a new document and the Acrobat interface was completely different.

I use Acrobat every day and the new interface is too different from the old one. Tools are difficult to find because they have been placed somewhere else.

I definitely don't have time to learn how to use a new software. I didn't not appreciate to be face to this suddent change without any warning.

It would be better to give user the option to customize the left and right pannels. If it's already possible,…

  19. It is extremely frustrating that the scroll bars are missing on the September 2023 release of Acrobat DC - they re-appear on a mouse click, but do not respond to Wacom pen. So to scroll through a PDF, the pen has to be put aside. This is slowing down my work considerably, and there has been a lot of frustration expressed in the Adobe Support Community, especially among Wacom users. This is not a behaviour that we can be expected to "get used to" or "love", as it has not been designed with the user in mind.

  20. Acrobat is pushing their users to BlueBeam. the new interface added NO user benefit, but made commonly used features harder to access, and switched toolbar sides for no benefit, and obnoxiously forces the floating toolbar to cover your document while leaving the top bars empty. If Acrobat ever removes the "Disable new Acrobat" I will be switching to BlueBeam.
