1. Window is not draggable due to UI

   There is no blank space to drag the adobe acrobat window anymore. I would wager less than 1/10,000 people have ever deliberately chosen the "create pdf" option. Get that out of the way so that the window can be moved again. It's such basic functionality that the mind boggles it still hasn't been addressed.

2. The forced New Acrobat experience removed essential functionality and caused major workflow disruption.

   Critical workflow regression: Missing modification asterisk, broken autosave indicators, and forced UI changes in new Acrobat
   This report describes multiple regressions introduced by the forced New Acrobat experience that significantly disrupted my workflow and removed essential functionality.
   Description:
   I want to report several issues caused by the forced rollout of the new Acrobat experience. These changes significantly disrupted my workflow and required extensive troubleshooting to restore basic functionality.
   1. Removal of the modification asterisk
   The classic asterisk indicator (showing when a PDF has unsaved changes) no longer appears, even in Classic mode. This is a critical regression. Without it, there is no clear visual confirmation that edits have been registered. The new UI’s Favorites star icon looks similar and adds confusion.
   2. Autosave and recovery behavior is undocumented and inconsistent
   Acrobat no longer uses the traditional AutoSave folder under the user profile. The folder exists but remains empty, even when autosave and recovery are active. Recovery now appears to rely on session metadata rather than autosave files, but this is not documented anywhere. This made troubleshooting extremely difficult.
   3. Forced UI transitions removed essential tools
   Switching between the new and classic interfaces caused annotation and drawing tools to disappear temporarily. The new interface also opened documents in modes that allowed editing but did not mark the file as modified.
   4. No warnings when autosave or modification tracking is inactive
   When Acrobat cannot write to its autosave location, there is no alert or error message. This leads to silent failures that put documents at risk.
   5. Windows user-folder naming confusion worsened the problem
   Windows displays a friendly user name (“Barbara Johnston”) that does not match the actual user folder (“cello”). Acrobat’s error messages did not clarify this, making it extremely difficult to diagnose why autosave was not functioning.
   Impact:
   These issues caused days of lost time and significant frustration. Acrobat is a critical tool for my work, and reliability is essential. The lack of documentation, silent failures, and removal of long standing indicators made the transition unnecessarily difficult.
   Requested improvements:
   • Restore the modification asterisk in Classic mode
   • Provide clear warnings when autosave or recovery cannot run
   • Automatically create required folders (AutoSave, Temp, etc.)
   • Improve transparency around editing modes and document state
   • Avoid forced UI rollouts that remove essential tools
   • Provide documentation for the new autosave/recovery architecture

3. BUG: "View" context menu missing from Outlook portfolios

   Steps to reproduce the issue: Create portfolio from multiple email messages in Outlook and attempt to change column headers and set a split view.

   Environment: Acrobat Pro 2024/Classic, Windows 11, Outlook 365.

   Expected result: In the previous version of Acrobat (2020 Pro, perpetual licence) I could open an email portfolio file and make minor changes, primarily to 1) set a horizontal/vertical window split view and 2) add a “To” column the default From/Subject/Date/Attachments/Size columns.

   Observed result: When right-clicking on a column heading the previously existing right-click "View" context/submenu is missing. See attached screenshots. The functionality is still there because I'm able to sort the emails by "To", but adding columns or setting a split view isn't possible.

4. BUG PDF Embed API – search bar layout bug at specific resolutions

   The Adobe PDF Embed API viewer displays a rendering error when the screen has a specific resolution; the text search bar overflows the visible area. The bug is reproducible on the online demo available at

5. reveal in finder

   Acrobat Pro - Right clicking only reveals source file in Finder if acrobat doesn't detect any 'changes' .

   This action is a core part of Mac functionality - every app on the system reveals the file location by right clicking at the top of the window. Please fix.

8. Old UI was Better

   Basically the old Adobe Acrobat Reader UI was significantly better and it continues to get worse. I often hop from PC to PC and every time I need to reinstall Reader I have to go and hunt down the settings to change everything back. It's taxing. Obnoxious. Here are the most important key changes that I have to make every time:

   1. The toolbar used to be docked at the top of the screen with tools like select, highlight, page navigation (back, forward, page up, page down), zoom, etc. Now it is a floating pane. I need it docked at the top.

   2. Page navigation tools including TOC and bookmarks used to be docked on the left side of the app. Now it's not there. I need it docked left.

   3. More tools used to be docked on the right side of the app like Export PDF, Edit PDF, Create PDF, etc and I could collapse it so I didn't actually see it. Now it is replaced with some kind of page navigation pane with "Edit, delete, or reply to comments", "Add, delete, or go to a specific bookmark", page thumbnails, next page and previous page and zoom. I need it the other older way.

   4. The old app interface had File, Edit, View, Sign, Window, Help in the top toolbar with Home and Tools in a toolbar just below that with the open files as tabs next to them in that same toolbar. Now there is just a Menu button with a bunch of options and a home button and the open files as tabs next to that menu and home button. I need it the old way.

   There's more too but this where I have to start over each time. It's awful. Why did you one day just decide the way everyone had been using it for years needed to be changed? And now I have to keep changing it back and have been doing so for years and I'm sick of it.

   And while I'm at it, remove any traces of AI from your products. Didn't ask for it. Don't need it. Don't want it.

10. When trying to "Save As," the pop-up window is blank

    For some reason, this new bug is that when trying to save a file under a different name and in a different folder, the pop-up window that usually has options like "choose a different folder" is completely blank. I have made a work around, but this is clearly a software glitch. A computer restart did not fix the problem. Please fix this.

12. If you put up files in “PDF Spaces”, there is no more facility available for searching files, even if it is OCR done.

    My version: Adobe Acrobat 64 bit version 25.001.21223

    If you put up files in “PDF Spaces”, there is no more facility available for searching files, even if it is OCR done file.

    So, I had to remove my files from PDF Spaces & put these files individually in Adobe Cloud to enable search facility.

    Very Very shocking for me. Can someone guide me on this ??

15. Customize the Home Screen

    Unlike a lot of users, I don't mind the home screen being there. It's a useful space - correction: it WOULD BE a useful space - with my recent files listed. Only trouble is, the top two sections on the home screen are "Recommended tools" and "Curated PDF Spaces". I have absolutely ZERO use for either of those sections on my home screen, but there is no way to customize the home screen to remove those sections so my recent files are at the top. It would be a lot more useful if it were JUST recent files. Sure, I can go to the section "Your documents" using the shortcut on the left panel, but that screen has no option for sorting my documents according to "last opened", so that screen is even less useful than the default "Recent" screen. This is 2026, for Pete's sake! Why are there no customization options???

16. Can no longer re-order the tools in the sidebar

    The "All Tools" sidebar on the left side of Acrobat acts like it will allow you to re-order the tools, but the functionality no longer works.

17. i have very old pc w Win 10 it takes 15 minutes for Acrobat to start. My submission is that you create a lite version starting in only 5min.

    i do not care about the cost. What i care about is that it takes 15 minutes to get Acrobat started on Win 10 old pc. Please make a lite version so it takes only 5 minutes to start. Thank you

    Find and Highlight for all occurrences of a word in one action, without using JavaScript, add to built-in functionality instead.

    At this time, Adobe Acrobat does not have a native feature to automatically “Find and Highlight” all occurrences of a word in one action. While Acrobat does allow you to find text and manually highlight it, bulk highlighting across the document is not supported without using JavaScript.

    The options you may notice such as “Find Text” under the Redaction tool are specifically designed for redaction workflows and cannot be used to apply highlight annotations. This is why only redaction-related actions appear in Custom Actions or advanced tools.

    Automated highlighting is currently possible only through JavaScript-based solutions. Since JavaScript is restricted in your environment, there is unfortunately no supported workaround available at this time using Acrobat’s built‑in functionality.
