  2. Shortcut Keys for Opening Tools

Please add shortcuts for high level tools like Edit PDF, Optimize PDF, Prepare Forms, etc. When working with a document that requires changing tools often, it's tedious to have to find the right icon and click on the side menu over and over. It would be great if something like Alt-O, etc. would open the Optimize PDF menu.

It is essential for the user to be able to disable the default view settings that were set by the creator of the document (often stupidly).

In 35+ years of using computer software, this is the dumbest default setting I have ever seen, and it creates serious usability issues for those wishing to use Acrobat for business purposes (i.e. not graphic design/web design/desktop publishing/etc)

Please IMMEDIATELY ASAP fix this so that the user can disable these default settings and thus view documents effectively instead of spending loads of time fixing display *****-ups caused by the content creator's clumsy use of…

  4. remove sign in, notifications, provide feedback, learn adobe acrobat & share file icon (still showing even after hiding

These icons should be able to be hidden as they take up room for other icons that I need to access continuously while viewing a document.
they are not useful for the entire time, they are a one time thing and yet are there constantly.
also what's the point of being able to hide the share button only to have an icon replace it, obviously if i'm hiding something it's because I don't want it there, that is just plain stupid whoever came up with that idea.

  5. out of memory or drawing error

Acrobat file crashes frequently. It is a large file (35MB) and have tried to reduce it but that function doubles it! It sometimes says 'out of memory', sometimes 'drawing error', before crashing. I have spent the whole day trying all the fixes I could find on the various forums but nothing has worked. It has been very frustrating. I have attached file

  6. Stop adding useless toolbar buttons that cannot be removed - now FIVE of them!!!

Adobe continues to add garbage to the toolbar that could easily be put out of sight in the menu, such as Share, Collaborate, Notifications and Account. I don't Share or Collaborate, care about your notifications, or need to see an Account icon. Get this **** off the toolbar so we can quickly access USEFUL tools! We used to have multiple rows of useful tools, but for some reason Adobe reasoned that fewer buttons was better... except for their own promotion.

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us for your concerns.
You can find the sign-Out button on the right most end of the Tab Bar in Acrobat by clicking on the Image icon for your account.
Alternatively, you can find the sign out button under Help → Sign out.

Let me know if that still doesnt solve your concerns ?

  8. Revert UI back to Acrobat Pro layout

No basic functionality in the top menu (Reduce File, etc.), no immediate access to a Marquee Zoom tool because the tool bar has to be opened in a separate tab every time I open a file before I can use them. I'm shocked that Adobe is still pushing on with this awful excuse for a UI. It's convoluted and a waste of user time, let alone visually inconsistent with all other Adobe products. Lots of user complaints relating to the same issues but, as usual, Adobe don't appear to want to fix it, just carry on shoe-horning what they think…

  10. Page Thumbnails Is too big

It would be nice to be able to change size of the Page Thumbnails to icon size. Currently it is too big.

  11. Command Click Title Bar Finder MacOS

I've noticed that with recent updates to Adobe Acrobat DC that one can no longer Command-Click the title bar of the window to open the containing folder in Finder. This works for other apps. This is really useful when trying to find the file.

  12. Restore choice of default view opening pdf for first time (e.g., 2-up cont. scroll)

Acrobat DC is better than 11.x in many ways, but one lost feature is the ability to default opening documents viewed for the first time with 2-up continuous view (or other choices). Downloading pdfs from many sources, pdfs may be single page, single page scroll, etc, with bookmarks or menus open or closed. Acro11 actually worked when setting this default to 2-up. In DC preferences/page display/default layout & zoom, setting to 2-up has ZERO effect on documents opened for the first time. They open in the default of the provider. Please make this function WORK, as it did in v11.…

  13. Menus arrows... section

  14. Quick Access Toolbar:Expand to 2+ lines so ICONS fit on main screen = Disappeared from prev Acorbat XI

The Acrobat XI version before Acrobat XI Pro 2017 let the user drag the corner of the QAT (Quick Access Toolbar) so that it would expand to 2 or more lines. That way, the most-used icons would all be on the main screen without the insessant need to click on the 3 buttons to expand the options and see the icons .... Worse yet, if there are many icons, you have to press the down-arrow to get there. Yes, I understand that the icons can be 'moved up'.

  16. Permanent Toolbar Display and Features

Longtime Bluebeam User... How can you not have toolbars permanently accessible? Similarly, when you create "quick tools" and you use one how to the tool properties (colors, fonts, etc.) not show up when the quick tool is selected for use. After using this for the last month I realize it is not really competing in the same space as Bluebeam but these are some functional items that cause users to make 4-5 clicks instead of 1, on markups of large plan sets this can add a lot of time to the effort, reducing efficiency.

  17. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Needs File Management Chops

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, unlike its vastly superior predecessor, Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, is extraordinarily poor in the file management window department.

The search functions are terrible, and it is not possible to sort documents by the various parameters. Nor does it 'remember' what folder you used previously, so that you are always having to search back through the folders to get to where you want to be. It's very hard to figure out where you are by looking at the top of the file folder screen. Basically what used to be a great UI, is horrible.

    The idea is…

  18. As everyone has said, the tools and overall layout is a nightmare.

Why cant I zoom out of the default oversize document? Whose grandmother set these defaults?

  19. Toolbar icons keep changing/moving/disappearing

Step back in functionality and hugely annoying--icons take up too much room, and seem to move/float around. I just had to add the "view one page" and "view full width" icons (side by side, BTW) to my toolbar, when they had been there just a few days ago.

  20. "Save as..." button in the File tools

Just a button for the "Save As..." function. I use this a lot for saving files I open from email attachments.
