  1. The chat window won't let me scroll up past 2-3 messages. This is stupid because the rep had given me a link to come here and I couldn't get back to it.

Additional comment: We all know companies don't want to actually ever talk to their paying customers, but making us type the SAME question more than five times in that auto chat before we get a live person is particularly bad form.

  3. I was preflighting a pdf for accessibility, and noticed a few pieces of text that had been mistakenly tagged as Artifact. I selected these in "Content", Right-click and "Remove Artifact". But now I can't tag these at all. They're not to be found in the tag panel or the read order panel, but they're visible and still there in the Content panel -. I think this is a bug. I tried using "Find" but the content was not found.

  4. @adobe, may I suggest R&D in your read aloud function. This function is truly painful to use. I’ve converted my doc into Word to use read aloud. Honestly, I love Adobe but have recently become more aware how many typical enhancements should be already integrated into your product. Let me know how I can help. Thank you for your time. Stay safe, Missy

  6. Money should be transferred from a linked bank account to a Cash App account in order to top up a Cash App account. You can use either of the two other methods if your bank account is out of balance. Start by asking your friends and family for money. After reloading your cash card, you can proceed to the next step. Retail stores and general stores, such as Walmart, Dollar General, and Walgreens, are cash card reload locations. What are the steps to adding money to your Cash App card?

Is it possible to load my Cash App card at…

  8. I appreciate that Adobe has the 'Read Out Loud' function, and I am familiar with how to use it and change the voice, but it is objectively worse than Immersive Reader in terms of usability, user experience, and universal design.

Can you please dedicate some resources towards PDF compatibility with Immersive Reader?

  10. Kudos to you for making a reflow mode available for all PDFs, which is a huge help to us vision impaired folks. It would be absolutely amazing if there was some way to even just highlight text while in reflow mode. That way those who have to use reflow mode can also use this basic feature of any pdf reader application.

  11. From reading the Adobe replies on the community forum, I understand that Adobe prefers not to add the PDF/UA 'flag' (an XMP identifier) automatically because accessibility conformance should involve manual checking.

I don't agree with this rationale.

Accessibility Check includes some steps which must be performed manually (e.g. color/contrast, read-order). The GUI offers a way to mark these steps as complete. It's a matter of trust. That's ok.

So let's say all tests are passed. Why not add the PDF/UA flag at that moment? Perhaps when all steps are passed, a query dialog could appear? Or just enable a checkbox…

  12. I have scoured the web to see if I can find a solution to this, and so far have not found a viable solution. We need to create graphics in Illustrator, save them as high-res .png files and place them in Microsoft Word. Sometimes those Word files need to be submitted as .pdf files with all text and images searchable. When running the OCR in Acrobat, it is not consistent with recognizing text in all images.

I have tried placing the .pdf file of the image as an object in Microsoft Word, but for some reason on the PC version…

  13. There seems to be a bug with unknown characters in the Read Order tab. Issue with Hindi described here, but I've seen it on other languages (Khmer).

The read order tab has multiple unknown characters for each text block. The main text appears fine visually, but screen readers have the same issues and cannot read the same certain characters (NVDA speech viewer screenshot included).

What's the issue here? Are there any answers or workarounds?

This is from an Word export (NVDA reads all characters perfectly fine in Word), and I'm on the latest Acrobat Pro DC (though the same issue…

  16. Although the popular screen readers do support Marathi language and voice, Adobe PDF Reader does not support Marathi to be set as a ‘Reading language’ yet so although the document is read in Marathi, it’s not being read in clear n correct phonetics/ accent.

I hope, Adobe will be able to add Marathi font soon during the next update or so.

We certainly do look forward to it. Thank you!

  18. Read Aloud: My favorite would be that READ ALOUD CONTROLS for PLAY/PREVIOUS/NEXT/PAUSE/SPEED present in a bar to limit having to go through the menus, annoying. Menu options, there is no previous or forward options, so only restarting the reader? So, now I am looking on google for control functions basically for rewind/fast-forward/pause. limited menu functionality on rewind/fast-forward but not finding control function keys to get around that yet, also annoying. place audio/speed keys in an easily accessible bar on the screen of the document, not embedded in menus only, and not only via control keys, please. Also would be nice…

  19. Reopening the bug notice from 2019.
The artifacting error is not fully functioning within Acrobat's tools as of July 2022 with the current beta version.

    @Rachit/Adobe, please reopen this case.
    See original post at https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/34682290-artifacting-error

    SUMMARY (July 2022):

-- Incomplete action from the CONTENT panel. Leaves an empty <Figure> tag that must be manually deleted.

-- Incomplete action from the TAG panel. Leaves an empty <Figure> tag that must be manually deleted.

-- Partially complete action from the ORDER panel. It artifacts the content and removes the <Figure> tag ONLY for images. Path/Vectors are incomplete and their empty <Figure> tags…

  20. I have 2 personal MacBooks, one main and one for photography, and a Windows work PC. I have the full Adobe subscription and want to use all applications on the main MacBook, photography applications on the other MacBook and only Acrobat on the work Windows machine but the licencing does not let me. I think the licencing should be changed to an application base, i.e. Acrobat only on 2 PCs, Photography apps only on 2 PCs, rather than an overall licence only on 2 PCs
