  1. Checker flags link in a table cell as invalid. (<Link> and <Link - OBJR> in a table <TD> cell). I believe this is not a failure point and should not be flagged. Would appreciate a review of this check and a note regarding which protocol is the reason if I am incorrect.

  2. Accessibility with NVDA / JAWS: for a data table that spans multiple pages in large files:
UsingAcrobat Reader DC Version 2019.010.20098 on Windows 10 laptop
At present my experience is that the table is not exposed as a continuous table.
    Consider a 3 column table.
Only on the first page on which the table begins, the column headers are read as one switches columns.
For an NVDA or JAWS user, every subsequent page seems to have a distinct 3 column table with x or y rows and the column headers on the first row of the table on the start…

  4. Need to be able to hide or resize the intrusive pane ("Create PDF"; "Combine Files"; etc.) on the operator's RIGHT. It consumes valuable screen space. Make it available when needed and GONE when not.

  5. Bug: The Reading Order Tool, and / or Highlighting content in a PDF document for tagging is inaccessible.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Using Acrobat Pro DC 2019 under Windows 7 / 8 / 10, open an untagged PDF for which you do not have the source file.
    2. Preferably, launch a screen reader such as NVDA (http://www.nvaccess.org) or JAWS 2019 (www.freedomscientific.com)
    3. Attempt to begin tagging portions of the document. For most people, this is done using the reading order tool found in the accessibility tools.
    4. Once in the reading order tool, attempt to select…

  6. When exporting a PDF from a Hebrew InDesign file, where the tagging order is correctly set from RTL and Adobe World-Ready Paragraph Composer is checked, the screen reader (JAWS in this case) reads the Hebrew text backwards. Is this something that is currently supported?

  7. For the production of a robot, I need it to use hotkeys to get into menu's in Adobe acrobat. I got everything to work in English and Dutch languages. But when I want to access the same menu's with a combination of ALT and the desired letters (they differ per language offcourse), in French; All of a sudden he does not get past ALT+S (for accessabilité, which is accessability in French).

I think there must be a bug hidden somewhere.

  9. Please fix the tab order. When it's set to structure, the document does not tab sequentially from left to right. When trying to correct this in the order panel, everything jumps around on it's own as you move fields. It's extremely frustrating!

  10. I automate my work tagging PDFs for accessibility whenever possible. To do this, I use KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS -- either with a programmable keyboard or a program like Automate. I use Mac and Windows. Mac has a Paste and Paste Child feature in the Tags Panel which is great. Windows needs this!! I want to search for a string and tag it. If I could get back to the Advanced Search window on the Mac I would be all set. On Windows I can Alt Tab to the Advanced Search window. I cannot "get back" to Advanced Search on the Mac…

  11. In Acrobat DC, we have encountered an issue with method of artifacting/backgrounding. As best we can tell, in DC, there is only one way that it can be done to work correctly - through the content panel/right click/create artifact. Other methods of backgrounding (via the order panel or TURO panel) cause it to visually show on the screen and in order panel as a paragraph tag while in the content and tags panel it indicates it’s an artifact.

  12. The Acrobat plug in for Word 2016 to create a pdf places artifact tags inside the table structure which causes an error in detailed accessibility checkers. The only way to make these fully compliant is to manually remove these artifact tags from the tags tree. We typically have to go back to old versions to pdf correctly. If you must place artifact tags in table structures (assuming due to new 508 refresh law), it would be fantastic if they could be placed together outside of the table structure or together at the top of the table structure rather than on…

This report references InDesign Bug ID – ID-4204915 Bullets are voiced twice – posted by Bevi Chagnon on September 22, 2017, 6:53 AM.

    Problem Description:
When a different bullet is used in In Design other than the 3 default bullets (round, asterisk, and lozenge), the tag tree in the exported accessible PDF has two span tags, one empty and the other with the bullet character.

The double span tags cause screen readers to voice…

  19. Currently Acrobat Pro DC can not read slower than 150 words per minute (wpm). I chatted with support (January 30, 2018) and they confirmed that currently it can not be reduced. Therefore, I request that this be modified to any number that a subscriber wants. 150 WPM is ridiculously fast. The range is 150 to 650 wpm. I would hope that Adobe does not discriminate against persons with disabilities anywhere especially in the United States of America.

  20. I would like to know how to delete or hide properties in Acrobat Pro DC? For example, the dates modified, the created, and the edit time. This would be great for documents that are reused over the course of time.
