Email PDF file on a mac using Microsoft Outlook
Bug - I have up to date Microsoft Outlook for mac (subscription) as well as a subscription for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. The idea of a subscription (which is pretty expensive) is that you get the most recent version of the software.
I have been using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC for about two weeks now. My experience has been very negative. The specific issue that annoys me is the ability to email a PDF file. When I attempt to do this one of two things happen:
1) The system just goes into Beach ball spinning mode - have to force quit Adobe
2) The system does as it should do - opens Outlook, creates an email and allow me to send the email with the attached PDF. The problem is that once the email is sent, Acrobat decides to go into 'spinning beach ball' mode and is unresponsive. I have to force quit and restart.
I have looked at your message board and they mention a potential issue with firewalls. i have no firewall software.
I just have the latest version of two supposedly world class platforms - Microsoft Office - Outlook for Mac and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC which don't seem comparable.
Seems a pretty basic feature that should work.

I have multiple problems opening .pdf files with Acrobat Pro DC.
PLEASE HELP! THIS IS FOR A BUSINESS APPLICATION AND IS IMPACTING MY PRODUCTIVITY
Either opening is very slow with the beach ball spinning interminably and an eventual opening of the document followed by a very brief period of access then a freeze and the force quit window indicating Acrobat Pro DC is not responding.
Or the .pdf file fails to open at all and I have to Force Quit
The above occur at a frequency of >80% ( >4 out of 5) when:
I try to open a file from within the Acrobat application
I try to open .pdf file from the Finder window
I try to open .pdf attachment from OutlookMy Computer:
MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018); 2.9 GHz Intel Core i9;32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4My OS
High Sierra 10.13.16

I have exactly the same symptoms and i followed the instructions below. Now rather than locking up after i send it will not open Outlook at all! I sign pdf's nearly every day and this is a major issue. Please advise if there is any workaround.

Dear User,
Apologies for late response! We did some investigation at our end and want to see if a workaround below solves the issue.
Could you please follow the steps below-1. Quit Acrobat
2. Open Finder on Mac
3. Go to the folder: /private/var/folders (See snapshot1 for reference)
4. In Search section on top right of Finder window type “SendMail” Note: Highlight “folders” option in Search bar (See snapshot2 for reference)
5. Note the path of this "SendMail" folder should be under "/private/var/folders/..." and the remaining path will not be constant and is created using hash hence we can’t provide exact path(See snapshot3 for reference)
6. Delete this folder.
7. Launch Acrobat and try the workflow where you are facing the issue.
Let us know if this resolves the issue.Regards,
Arvind -
