floating comment toolbarHello,
Concerning the floating black tool bar that shows up when text is selected, it currently has only 5 functions (Highlight, Underline, Strike through, Copy & Edit text-images).
 My requests:
 1. Kindly make it customizable, so that users can add whatever buttons they like.
 2. Especially, make it such that users can add anything from 3-5 highlighters of different colors, so that I will not have to go through the tedious task of changing the color of the highlighter each time I want it changed.
 3. Kindly allow the "Add note to text" icon there either by default or as…3 votes

Make Comments PrivateCan you make comments private? i.e I want to send PDF to A&B via cloud, but I dont want A to see B comments and vice versa. Is this doable? So there is no way to 'segregate' participants? I am wanting to share a file with people who I do not want to be able to see other participants comments. So what is the point of sharing I hear you ask? I want to share with internal staff, but only want external invitees to comment/mark up without seeing the internal discussion about what they have to say, as it may… 2 votes

Text Changing to previous pageat the same location from previous page when selecting a text block and try to highlight it, switches to previously highlighted text in previous page and change the whole text block to that previous text.
if ( Text in page 2) highlighted it will change to (text in page 1) in order to reverse this need to change the page and back again until it works
also, the selected text disappear after finishing from selecting along with the options that appears after selection.2 votes

Keep Tool Selected - we need it back pleaseThere used to be a great feature where you could click a box to "keep tool selected" so you keep using the same tool, over and over again without clicking on the Icon again and again and again. It was especially useful when reviewing a large document where you wanted to highlight several passages or for adding text, etc. 3 votes

Multiple Custom Tool Sets with Same Tools - Different Properties for Each ToolFor work I use multiple tools to add comments to PDFs. I have created a custom tool set with the tools I need to use the most. We are required to use specific colors depending on what we are commenting on. It would make it so much easier if I could make custom sets (all with the tools I use) and have each one be different color schemes. A few examples of this are below: Custom Tool Set #1
 Highligher – Color/Green
 Text Box – Border/Red; Fill/Green; Text Color/Blue
 Arrow – Color/Green
 Rectangle – Color/GreenCustom Tool Set #2

Keyboard Shorcuts for Set StatusIt would be incredibly useful to be able to set keyboard shortcuts for the "Set Status: None, Accepted, Completed, Cancelled, and Rejected" commenting tools. Set status, to me is an advanced feature used to enable more efficient workflows, adding keyboard shortcuts would add even more efficiency. 32 votes

Add option to Expand/collapse at the comment levelAcrobat (years ago) had this ability, I believe. Currently, we can expand/collapse all comments.
We can also expand/collapse comments for an entire page. Please add an option at the comment level that would expand/collapse the replies to a specific comment. When a page has 30 markups, and each markup has 5 replies (yes, this has happened :-)), there are now 150 comments showing in the comment list for just that single page. Being able to collapse a comment thread would be a massive improvement in usability of the commenting feature, I believe. 2 votes

Keep stamp tool selected (more than one stamp at a time)Please provide an option to keep a stamp selected to use multiple times in a row. For instance, I use stamps to place checkmarks on documents and I have to click the stamp each time I want to place it as it deselects after every placement. 2 votesHi,
You can achieve this by pin tool option.
 Please find the steps:
 -Open any PDF
 -Load comment app
-Click on Stamp tool icon and then click on any stamp —> Stamp gets selected
-Click on the pin tool icon(see the attached snapshot for reference)
-Now apply stamp, it will not get deselected.Kindly let us know if it helps or you need more info. Regards,

Default paste for text into a comment field should UNFORMATTED TEXTThis is the biggest single thing that reduces my productivity in Acrobat DC. So often I need to paste some text from inside the PDF into the comment field. Suppose the text is white font on a black background, what is that going to look like in the comment box? In what universe would retaining the formatting as the default make any sense at all? 1 vote

Shortcut for 'Add Note to Text'A shortcut – ideally a keyboard shortcut – for 'Add Note to Text' would be very helpful for the editors and proofreaders among us. To select the text, right-click and find 'Add Note to Text' is cumbersome when you're using that particular feature more than any other (the Sticky Note is much maligned by designers and reviewers alike for not being specific enough to the text to which it relates). It would also make lots more sense in the context of the comment-as-you-type functionality for inserting or deleting text, etc. Surely it would be logical to create an equivalent keyboard-centred… 18 votes

Commentless HighlightingInclude a highlighting tool that doesn't show up as a comment. We use the highlighter to indicate values that have been reviewed, but it makes the comment summary and the comment window very cluttered. It would be nice if we could either exclude highlighting from the comment window or generated comment summary or have a separate tool. 3 votes

Selection ToolApparently the new interface does not allow you to select, and keep selected, text comments. ALso, you can no longer make window selections to select multiple text comments at one time. Also, you cannot keep text selected, or have the option to double click to edit text. This new interface has tripled the time it takes for me to comment on documents. Please give US the option of how we want to handle selections! 6 votes

Make Changing of Comment Type PossibleSince InDesign CC2019 has the ability to import PDF comments for quicker apply of text corrections, it would be of enormous help, to be able to change the comment type in Acrobat. Some proof readers e.g. use the markup comment type to change text. But InDesign doesn’t allow the markup comment type to be executed with a simple klick on »Apply«.
Or they use »delete text« comment type, althought they wanted to change text. But in InDesign »delete text« simply deletes, but doesn’t insert the comment’s text.So if I’d be able to change the type of a comment easily,… 2 votes

Info bulleThere are tooltips on all software helpers, which you can activate or not. But when it comes to making a tooltip yourself, nothing allows it ... When we have small references on a text (for example by exposing, 1, 2, ...), this it would be really useful to be able to introduce the possibility of adding a tooltip there when the mouse passes over the small number. Currently, it's impossible, or a real hassle !! 1 vote
