  1. Hello, we have a C # application in the company, this application is using interop.acropdflib.dll, everything was fine before Windows 10 updated from some days, now every time I press the print button nothing happens, no displays the window for setting up printing.

Help, it is a problem not being able to print from the application because there are many documents a day that have to be reviewed and sent to print quickly to optimize times.

  2. Acrobat DC has become a royal pain in the behind. First of all, with this NUL license concept, it takes way, way too long to convert Word documents to .pdf. It sits there doing nothing for a long time, and finally wakes up and begins the process. Is it possible you people don't test these things? This always happens now, ever since your brainchild change. Secondly, it keeps telling me that it failed to install a version 2020.009.20063, when that version is already installed! What a nuisance of a system this has become.

  3. I like the ability to capture HTML pages together with images into one PDF document.

Unfortunately the web has changed and many web pages use Javascript to fill out the DOM tree, as a result content is missing from pages like:

    https://ropercenter.cornell.edu/ipoll/search?q=dreams

which makes a blank page PDF. There are tools out there that can make a capture of modern web pages using Chromium, PhantomJS, or HTMLUnit to run the Javascript. One can be found here:

    https://conifer.rhizome.org/

sometimes these work, but the WARC file and the WARC file players are awful. It reminds me of the times that you go…

  4. Why in this day and age have you still not added any functionality to combine emails into a PDF directly?! Enormous amounts of global productivity is wasted each day on having to individually save thousands of emails individually into a PDF format in order to be able to then bind them into a PDF. You could actually just resolve the issue directly and make everyone's lives a little less ******.

    Sorry for your inconvenience.
It seems InDesign hangs for you. It is not clear how Acrobat is involved in the process. Can you please explain the workflow?

  6. Building PDFs from Dita open toolkit.
PDF builds fine (toolkit renders no errors) BUT doc tab/title contains
    "XMP structure: 1"
Open document properties and edit doc title to desired value
Click OK - XMP metadata error occurs.

  7. There is a bug in the Word to PDF conversion process that is causing footnotes to not tag properly. The footnote text is recognized under the <Note> tag, but the link to the footnote within the text is missing. This issue comes up when using the "Save as..." PDF option. The footnote tags appear correctly when converting using the Adobe Acrobat "Create PDF" add-on in Word. This issue occurs with both Mac and Windows computers.

  8. When converting from Word (O365 ProPlus desktop) to PDF using the Acrobat add-in (Acrobat PDFMaker 20 for Word), lists are not transferring correctly. (Styles are of course used in Word to create the lists properly.) Nested lists lose the nesting and become one long list. Lists that cross pages either: combine the last item on the first page with the first item on the next page in the <LI>/<LBody> tag of the former; or create two separate lists for each page.

  10. I used to be able to open a starred file, then create other pages, and combine. The program fixed it but then went back to not allowing the combine to happen. Then I have to search for the document in old history which can be hard to find.

  11. Portfolio (mode) needs improvement. Sorting needs to be available so that sorting is possible. Removing and adding at the back is not very good design. Drag and drop of document sections should be available. (Using Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017)**** I just saw a post that is available on the Adobe DC version. (My company has not purchased that yet). Wish 2017 could have a patch update to make it happen.

  14. When creating a PDF from a .docx file from within Microsoft Word, when PDF/A compliance is set to "PDF/A-1a", text boxes will have borders in the PDF even when they do not have borders in the Word document itself. No other PDF/A compliance setting exhibits this bug.

  15. I am a musician and have been using Adobe Pro to send PDF flyers with a sound bite attached to the PDF that played when the email attachment was opened. This gave an immediate result. I am amazed to find that due to an upgrade Adobe Pro will no longer do this, instead if you send a flyer to a potential venue they have to open the email attachment, save it to a file, close it, open it again, trust it, close it and open it another time before the sound can be heard. New venues are not going to…

  16. Adobe Create PDF extension is no longer available for Firefox because Firefox has stopped supporting NAPI. I would like Adobe to develop a replacement for the Create PDF extension. It did a much better job of creating a PDF from a web page than Print to Adobe does. It also allowed the output to be added to an existing PDF file. This was very useful when you had several web pages that were essentially part of one subject or transaction. It allowed you skip saving the pages as individual files and then combining them as a separate step. Please bring…

  17. I am using the 64bit version of MS Office 365; and I having problem when converting Excel spreadsheet to PDF files, using the Adobe Create Plug-ins from Adobe DC Pro 32bit. The plug-in slow down the process in Excel at first time. When used a second time, the entire process runs faster than first time. This repeat everyday, when converting an Excel to Adobe PDF.

  18. I have a very annoying problem converting Word documents to PDF.

I use a lot of hyperlinks to PDF documents right into the Word document, then I export the Word document using Create Adobe PDF command in the ribbon.
I've noticed that when I the link points to a PDF with a filename with two or less characters the resulting PDF have a broken link.
I mean that when I link PDF file like "0.pdf" or "00.pdf" the link is broken, whereas "000.pdf" is correct.

I'm using Windows 10 with the lastest Acrobat DC and Office 365.

  19. My software environment:
    Windows 10 Pro 1909, Build 18363.900 (64 bit)
Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Continuous Release 2020.009.20067
    Microsoft Excel 2019 MSO (16.0.12827.20200) 32 bit

My Problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC:
Since years I combine MS-Excel-files in one PDF via right mouse-click and drop-down menu "Combine files in Acrobat ..." in Windows-Explorer.

Unfortunately, this procedure results nowadays in an error message: "Unable to open document" and a reading permission problem (see attached Screenshot).

There are no reading permission restrictions and I think it is a bug in this Acrobat-Release since it was in the past not an issue.

    I…
