Customize Quick Tools - Protect, Encrypt
Under customizing quick tools, I've added the protect -> Encrypt item to quick tools. When launching a new PDF I can easily click the padlock and choose 2. encrypt with password on my PDFs.
However, if you go to Edit then Preferences, under the general category, uncheck 'Open documents as new tabs in the same window (requires relaunch)'. Close and reopen any PDF, I can no longer choose 2. encrypt with password. Can you please fix this bug

Redaction - Diagonal Repeat Overlay Text
Hi. I'm using Adobe Acrobat for preparing emails for legal purposes. One of the challenges I have is organising emails choronologically, especially when there are duplicate emails.
So that I don't have to change file in any way, I am using the Redaction feature instead of any Edit tools; I also find it more convenient. Using the Redaction Marking Tool as a Highlighter (having Opacity at 13%), I Highlight emails within a thread which are duplicates.
My Overlay Text is read, "Duplicate Email", and unless I print it for others, I do not apply the final Redaction which is a…

Digital signatures are a pain in Acrobat DC!
I digitally sign a lot of invoices. I'm not filling in a field, just creating a box that fills with my digital signature. It used to take me a couple of clicks in the old version. Now I have to do Tools, certificates, select the signature, click on a box and a button... And then the next time I open a PDF I have to go through the whole thing again, because the tool bar config is not saved. This is a huge waste of time and I'm VERY dissatisfied with this release.

Modification Detection and Prevention Certificate Application Breaks PDFA/3-u Standard
When applying a Modification Detection and Prevention certificate to a PDF/A-3u file Acrobat Pro DC adds DigestLocation, DigestMethod, and DigestValue entries to the signature references dictionary. That's not permitted by the PDF/A-3u standard. Thus it breaks conformance.
Certifying PDFs in this way and complying with the PDF/A-3u standards both are part of our larger goal of long-term preservation.

SignData produces bad XML Signature when ref target contains Id attribute
There is a very strange bug in Adobe's XML Data Signatures support. If the target of a manifest includes an "Id" element, the correct transform will not run.
<Reference URI="#410"> <Transforms> <Transform Algorithm="http://www.w3.org/2001/10/xml-exc-c14n#WithComments"/> </Transforms> <DigestMethod Algorithm="http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#sha1"/> <DigestValue>6LIx9NZKzbyFXC+qOW/n9bo0RS8=</DigestValue> </Reference>
If I remove the Id attribute from the Data DOM, it works
<Reference URI=""> <Transforms> <Transform Algorithm="http://www.w3.org/2002/06/xmldsig-filter2"> <XPath Filter="intersect" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2002/06/xmldsig-filter2" xmlns:dsig="http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#">here()/ancestor::dsig:Signature[1]/../../RBM[1]//. | here()/ancestor::dsig:Signature[1]/../../RBM[1]//@* | here()/ancestor::dsig:Signature[1]/../../RBM[1]//namespace::*</XPath> </Transform> <Transform Algorithm="http://www.w3.org/2001/10/xml-exc-c14n#WithComments"/> </Transforms> <DigestMethod Algorithm="http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#sha1"/> <DigestValue>...</DigestValue> </Reference>
<signData target="ballot_stub" ref="$data.signatures"> <manifest> <ref>$data.RBM</ref> </manifest> </signData>

Adobe Pro asking for a password for every document we try to edit
Since Adobe Pro is asking for a password for every document we try to edit or combine. Appears same happened last year when a new version was released. https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2452664

It is unacceptable that I cannot secure my document from being exported but still allow printing.
When I secure a document to prevent it from being exported, then anyone I share the document with is unable to print it. I cannot separate printing from preventing export of the document as part of security.

Highlighting and bookmarking on protected documents
It seems that when an author creates a PDF and locks it, the allow highlighting and bookmarking are not a separate item. You should separate this so that it can be a more enjoyable read for the reader. I bought a book. I want to highlight and bookmark the parts that are important to me. The owner said it's a security thing and if he locks it, then that's it, no kind of editing can be done. I don't consider highlighting and bookmarking an edit since the original item will not be changed. You have taken away from my enjoyment…

Digital Signature Process More Efficient
Please allow the digital signature options (and the comment, specifically the dynamic stamp (who came up with that unintuitive name and why??), options) to remain in the toolbar from document to document so I do not need to go through the same multi-step process over and over again when approving or signing a number of documents in a row. I see that you've noted that "streamline digital signing" below has been resolved - nope, it has not. In the attached I've shown the steps it takes to put a dynamic stamp on a PDF. Each. Time. Please fix. Thank you.

How do I clear the recent list? Very Dangerous practice
Recently noticed someone had used my workstation and opened all my bank records on my "Recent" list.
I am trying to clear the list but can't figure out how? It appears to have disappeared with updates, or moved to somewhere I can't find.

Where do you find 'Send for Signature' tool that will bring up 'Prepare Form' and 'Ready to Send'?
Trying to find how to prepare a form using Add signature (adding fields before sending) and then sending for signature (in that order), but when I pull up Prepare form, there is only an icon for adding digital signature, but not the icon for Add digital signature tool.

AdobE DC password security
It would be great that Adobe DC has more options, like choose between changes allowed:
- Highlight or not the texts
- Add or not the sticky notes
- etc...Because the options are limited and it's impossible to share information without have a security of your documents.
I will appreciate that you give us more options. Thanks

Have instructions on how to remove a "to do" nag message to sign a document
It took me several days to find where one can remove a "to do" message to sign a document that popped up on the acrobat document list. It was over a year old and not important or wanted. It is not obvious what one should do to manage the message to deal with it or make it go away.
I did figure out how, but it is not documented to well. nor could I find any mention in the help system.

Sign in blocking program
The sign in screen is preventing me from accessing the program by popping up over and over, even after I enter my username and password. It might get to the "Check out the new Acrobat Reader DC" and a button that says "Start Tour" that pops up and it will not go away or do anything else. What is the fix for this? I have many important documents in the cloud. Thanks.

Allow hiding of the "To do" signature requests on the Recent screen.
There does not appear to be a way to hide the new "To do" signature requests section at the top of the newly redesigned Recent window. Please allow us to hide this section as it's in the way and annoying.
Thanks
