  1. I use up and down arrows to scroll through PDF files. (I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 2024.002.20759 64 bit on windows). Empirically there appear to be two modes for this. In one mode, there is no blinking cursor and using the arrow keys is similar to using the scroll bar. However, if I click in the text pane, then there is a blinking cursor, and the arrow keys manipulate the position of that cursor. In this mode, the arrow keys will hop over tables that are inlined within the text; when I reach the bottom of the page,…

  3. Bring back the full file name in one of the top toolbars. Knowing the file name at a glance is extremely important, especially when working within a team and with multiple versions. With the latest version of Acrobat, I can no longer tell which file I'm working on even when I only have a single file open. The tabs don't show enough of the file name to give me that information.

  4. Please dock the toolbar to the side at all times. I do like the new toolbar, but it blocks text on the PDFs, meaning I have to take the time to pan and zoom and adjust just to read what it is blocking, it's just unnecessary. Just have it docked always. Also, I will say I'm not the biggest fan of how the thumbnails are shown, but that's a different and much less important issue. The new "floating" toolbar (that you cannot move) obstructs the documents and should just be docked to the side so you can see an unobstructed…

  6. In the "new acrobat" interface, it is now very tedious to add annotations. It is two more clicks than in the old Acrobat (multiply that with thousands of annotations and you see the problem).

Please add the following functionality (available in "old acrobat"):

    • When you have selected some text, and start typing, it will add the "replace text" annotation.
    • When you place the text marker in the text, and start typing, it will add the "insert text" annotation.

    Also:
    * When you select some text, you get a little contextual toolbar pop-up. Please add a button for the "replace text"…

  7. It would be useful to see the zoom % without having to click on the 'Zoom In' or 'Zoom Out' buttons on the side panel. Also, when you click on the buttons, the zoom % changes and you cannot see what it was previously set to. I would like to see a 'Zoom %' button showing the current %.

  11. Snap Assist no longer functions. This Windows 11 feature allows you to size the application into one of six predetermined views by hovering over the Maximize/Minimize icon in the Title Bar.

  12. There's a reason corporations are moving wholesale to Bluebeam and ditching Adobe Acrobat. It's an awful pile of steaming poo in comparison. Bluebeam has infinitely more usability and utility. In Adobe, it takes a ridiculous amount of unintuitive clicks to get anything done, marking up or drawing anything with shapes is a clustercluck, just managing the organization of a document is a nightmare.

Do your research with users! this is your worst program.

  13. If the window is mostly off-screen ..
    a) off the lower right corner of the screen: You must grab it by the bar AFTER the (useless, unremovable) CREATE button on a mouse left click.
    b) off the lower left corner of the screen: You must grab it by the bar BEFORE the ? button (more useless, unremovable guff prior to the window controls)

The title bar regions outside of the unused centre can not be used to move the window.

  14. Some keyboard inputs are deleted when searching whilst autoscroll is enabled. Makes searching infuriating.

Enable auto scroll on a document
Open the search box to search for text in the document
Start typing in the search box
As you type you will find some characters are not displayed in the search field

  17. Adobe Acrobat Pro: opening the search bar freezes application for ~5 seconds

This is on Adobe Acrobat Pro, version 2024.200.20736, 64-bit on Windows 10 with an expired subscription. Whenever I open the search bar or type text into the search bar, the entire application freezes for about 5 seconds. This makes search annoying to use for even simple situations.

  18. It took me no less than 2.5 hours to edit a PDF, prepare the form and request signatures. It felt like I was using dial up internet and have never seen the spinning wheel of death that much since 1998. I am not sure what is happening with the programming but y'all need to speed this up because I do NOT have the time to waste just waiting for the program to respond to mouse clicks or keyboard clacks.

  19. I open a PDF and Acrobat launches fine. I click "Sign in" on the top right. I click "Continue with Google" and it launches a browser window and says "You're all set!". Acrobat locks up. I can't click on anything. The only way to close it is via the taskbar.

  20. Please provide an easy 1-click way to completely hide all extrenuous panes when opening any document. This means :

    • No bookmaarks on the right.
    • No tools on the left.

There are a mess of settings all over the place, and comments on previous related issues to multiple steps to take, but all these seem out of date. This should be a single 1-click check box in the main preferences, completely overriding all other settings.

Even better: Acrobat Reader should learn from the fact that I close these panes every single time I open the app (multiple times per day), and…
